My e-family, mamas that have boys, please chook mouth ooo mbok.

After my delivery right in the labour room, the nurse that took my delivery told me she does home service circumcision for 5k (the same charged at the general hospital.) Another nurse also came to advertise her services to us that had boys later on.

We had already been told at anchor that the circumcision clinic at the hospital only takes 20 slots per day or whatever. The hospital is quite far from home and we don't have a car. So my first thought is to go with the nurse that handled my delivery for comfort sakes.

Hubby thinks we should visit the health center near our home but i don't think, those ones will do such cos doctors aren't attached there, all they basically attend to there is headaches and the likes.

The issue now is my MIL out of the blues is insisting we go to the general hospital to do it. That it's only doctors (surgeons) that do it.

My questions are
Is it compulsory we go to the hospital.
Is it only doctors that do it
What are the pros and cons of having the nurse come over to the house.
I don't want to be jumping around the street with a wailin

If hubby and MIL is adamant on using the hospital,please let them have their way,save the energy for important fights.
If you are so tired,MIL can handle it with hubby.
My teaching hospital run tests like HIV,before the procedure,which are handled by docs. Talking of distance,you also need to go there for some immunization when necessary.Take care.

MAMAS HELP A SISTER PLEASE


I'm new in PH because Dh based there while my work station is in Ebonyi state. I mentioned that I went for scan on Tuesday at one private hospital, they said I should register for antenatal which I did( Me&Dh had agreed that I will use the hospital). After running some tests, Dr said there is malaria ++(I disagreed because I had test the previous week and no atom of malaria)


Dr prescribed some drugs for me. Their small kiosk like medicine shop staff said my bill was #5k. So I insisted on seeing the prescription but was denied. I told the girl that I had folic acid, fasolate, B. Compex and multivitamin tabs at home so I don't need those if they are among the prescription. After long dragging and talking with the Dr, they removed those and cut the bill to 3500.


Dh that went with me was giving me bad eye to just pay the complete money and take the drugs but I refused. So after everything, I paid the #3500 and they gave me TT injection on my arm , pcm tabs and another white tab. No name on the drugs envelop no means of identifying it.


The next day being yesterday I came back to my base in Ebonyi state, the drugs still intact because I don't want to take it.


Is that how private hospitals behave? Don't I have the right to know the drug my doctor prescribed? Must everything be about making money?


Please sabi mama residing in PH, recommend good mama friendly hospital that is listed on NHIS preferably govt hospital.

My own chop chop no get Part 2 now....according to my hubby my food detector is very high....I can sight anything eatable from a distance

Too bad in Uyo they don't hawk much along my route....else everyday i will b returning with a bag full of Okpa,Agidi,icecream and friends after school runs

This is serious, I'm happy for all of you that can eat now, I can't eat much o, a lil breakfast, tiny lunch @2 or 3pm even 4 sometimes and that is it, if I try to put any other thing in my stomach, esp fruits, heartburn will start dealing with me and get worse as soon as my head hit the pillows of course I pack 3 for my head to prop me up and reduce the acid reflux . I only enjoy daytime naps, drink cold water much and pee a lot now and then walk like obogu, thank God for all these!

She shouldn't go thinking in the direction of her hubby for now except he's the unfaithful type that can probably bring home his mistresses(na d work wey dem dey do).
I think talking to her pastor is best for now but at the same time she needs to sit and think properly if there had been any visitor(friends and families) after her wedding. For all you know too, it might have been prepared before the wedding to accompany her to her marital home. The heart of man is desperately wicked.

In other news, I'm heartbroken​
So today is our baby's naming and i already preinformed my photographer. She's my friend from way back university. Shot our wedding, and our dd's 1st birthday. We are close. We sealed the deal earlier this week and as at this morning, i got a whatsapp msg from her that she was on her way. There was supposed to be a photo session in the house before going to church for the naming and coming back home for the reception.

How i love photography. I hurried everyone to have their baths and got my kids outfits ready so there won't be any flop.
8:03 was the last time i heard from her. I was agitated and kept in ringing her two phones, twas switched off. At the dieing minute, we didn't have plan B. I was worried. All through the naming, i couldn't bear the thought of not having the day captured. My hubby sha gave someone his phone to do some small shots but i wanted my professional photography.

Her number went through this night only for her to call me back that she entered one chance that morning. Her camera and phone were taken.

Far above my disappointment, i felt sorry for her and thankful to God for her life.

My baby's naming however went well. The day couldn't be paused, held down or rewinded and this day won't come again and sadly the memories of dis day wasn't captured. Hmmmn.

I have an issue with hospitals that behave like this. As a preggy you are supposed to take malaria drugs monthly on a regular basis. My family lives in Artillery but all the women in my house used the teaching hospital for their ante natal. its a distance but they had to do do it that way to avoid stories that touch. you can also register at obio cottage hospital in rumuobiakani but i hear the have a huge crowd there. this is because the hospital is sponsored by Shell. Talk to your hubby cos a hospital that will not tell you the drugs they are giving you CAN ALSO SHEDULE YOU FOR CS WHEN YOU DON'T NEED IT

Congratulations sis, don't rush yourself with tabs....
Pregnacare is okay so you won't be using many tabs... One per day with folic acid should be sufficient except your blood level is low and you need fesolate.

Though you will need to treat malaria but not your first trimester...... Cheers

Ummm, I think she should speak to her parent(s) and pray over with her pastor. This is hard, but after she's done that, she needs to bring it up with her husband. Like "honey I saw this, I don't know where it came from, I'm really scared, I know you love me and you swore before God to protect me, do you know anything about this?". No accusations, non-confrontational but definitely demanding answers. Watch his behaviour and his answers, his body language may tell you the truth.

Because throwing it away and putting the issue out of her mind is playing Ostrich (burying her head in the sand). You've found fetish-y stuff in your home, you need to have both eyes open, there is no "ayam too married I don't wanna rock the boat, my enemies want to destroy me" level of ignoring this situation. I know Nigerian women can unlook anything in the name of Keeping Their Home^tm but this is major (her hair, her clothes, if she was my daughter she'd be on extended stay at my house until I get to the bottom of this).

I wish her all the best. I hope she knew this guy reasonably well before getting married. And if someone came into their home and had access to her stuff, he needs to step up and protect her. Because that person must have come through him.

Unless she has untrustworthy relatives who visit her.

She know her husband best unless she's trying to act naive.
Is he fetish? Would he rather pray away his troubles or visit a seer?
If he comes back and she shows him and it happens that he díd it, what do you think will happen? He will gently confess? Don't fool yasef.
He might say it wasn't me but if it was him, then be rest assured that the baba that did one is still available to do another one.

Hope we all have been feeling fluttering and kicks. Mine has been tiny kicks but when i bend, or sitting with my tummy folded, baby starts kicking stronger in protest.

Mamas, Am sure the ministry is moving smoothly to the glory of God! We should be in our 23rd,22nd,21st,20th, week respectively. I hope we are attending our ante natal classes and taken our 1st and 2nd dose of the TT injection.

Shopping nko? I hope you're doing it small small already.I pray God provides us with finances to be able to carry out this task. Let's not forget to put our team mate bunny19 in prayers as she is going through this phase, May God replace with something better and fill her with strength to carry on.

Hope we all have been feeling fluttering and kicks. Mine has been tiny kicks but when i bend, or sitting with my tummy folded, baby starts kicking stronger in protest.
