Abuja medical visa success story. Don't lose hope yet. People are collecting visas. If you do your homework well, you should be fine.
Note: I'm not the one involved, just someone close.

Will leave in November and will stay for months. Though I am also considering a few other accommodation. I just don't want to be alone in the apartment.

Yea, can imagine. Not fun when you are all by yourself with no company. You can look into sharing a 2 bed 2bath for 6 months. It's way cheaper than 3 months.

Hello papas and mama's.
Hope my question is not out of place.

Please my interview is next week and according to the mail I got, bags and phones are not allowed into the embassy. Are there storage lockers outside where these can be kept? Or how do I go about it as I'll be traveling to Lagos that day (not based in Lagos) my interview is in the afternoon. Also where will I keep all my documents if I'm not allowed to take my bag inside?
Please help me o!

Medela is 110v o..my plug blew the first time I used it in Nigeria thankfully I was able to get another one on warranty. I had to use batteries everytime I needed to pump.

Ayomiidele:
Thanks so much for your advise. Medela actually has a 100v to 250v capacity so should work both in Nigeria and the US. My main problem is the steriliser and bottle warmer now. I haven't found one which has a 240v rating. They are all 110v in US. Mommas in the house, any suggestions before I resort to buying from the UK and sending to Nigeria.

Please i am currently in Sugarland Texas in my brothers place to have my baby. I get so boared during the day cos my brother and his wife go to work and i am left home alone. I will like to go to the shooping mall frequently but cant deal with the uber cost on a daily basis.

Please does anyone have suggestions on a cheaper means of transport that i can explore here in Sugarland.

Also, if there is any Nigerian here in Sugarland that wants to go shopping and is in the same shoes as i am, please reach out to me so we can share the transportation cost and move together

Not so sure about transportation in Sugarland.

For me I downloaded uber and lyft. Whenever I wanted to go out I always checked the 2 to see which is cheaper. Lyft does a lot of promotions, also look out for coupons online. I searched with Google.

On days I go to the mall, I literally spent the whole day there so my uber money is maximized.

Sometimes I followed my sis to work and took the car from her. Then I drove to wherever I wanted and returned to her office before clob.

I'm guessing you're still preggers. I walked a lot before having my baby cos I knew the benefits of remaining active. So you can search for the closest mall, and aim to walk half way or some way sha. Then take uber for the rest.

Hope this helps.

When i went for mine in 2014 ( Lagos) i left it at the security post well not my bag ooo.. some ppl left theirs, cause of my documemts i didn't. Anyways you are meant to remove any metal object from your bag (blade, keys, phones et all) those were what i took out from my bag.

Please which airline is best to fly to Texas? Especially as I will be adding my LO's ticket after delivery. Thanks

Best is relative.

Emirates paid me in terms of cost and exceptional service.
But the 15hours is not child's play.

Hello House,

I am due in January and planning to go have my baby in Houston (WHMC).

Found an accommodation along Richmond avenue Westchase area( very close to the hospital) about 2mins.

The accommodation is for 6 months reduced rate as against the 3 months rate (which am interested in).

1. Please anyone going to Houston for delivery in February and looking for accommodation? Pls inbox me. We can meet in lagos mainland or island.

2. Or anyone already in Houston Richmond area with accommodation looking for someone to take up existing rent from November/December should please get in touch.

3. Any Info/assistance on how I can get a very affordable private accommodation around that area in November/December will also be most appreciated.

Seriously looking for someone to split apartment rent with to save cost.

Hi, pls chat me...in for Jan/Feb

That's a very good location for that hospital and for going around for shopping and other amusement locations.
Ask the accommodation owner if there are furniture in it at all.
I had same experience

Awesome then. Please which apartment building did you stay in.
