lionel4power:
this is basically all a modern air force should have. that's how a proper air force should be structured.

are this the official KAF projection or just recommendations?

also what is the current state of the KAF's F-5 tiger fleet? what are their current capabilities?
KAF needs based on V 2030. Like I said based on our growth rate by 2022 we'll def be at a GDP of 150 bn$. If the KRA can capture 25% of that as tax for a budget of 35 bn$ internally generated funds and maybe another 10 bn$ from bonds with defence taking 2% of total for a decade its very very doable.
The Tigers are the EE version pimped out by the Jordanians at their KADDB, IIRC in 2010. BVR,air refuel and buddy tank refuelling capable. Tbh,beyond that IDK anything and would rather not assume. You know how that causes problems! The 14 or 11 frames are on 70% readiness. F 5s are cheap to fly and very reliable which is why the Swiss and Brazilians still fly them. I'd be happy if the new FSBs give just half of their service.

Am I the only person getting rumours of a coup from our eastern next door neighbours.

"In military combat, cover is anything which is capable of physically protecting an individual from enemy fire. This differentiates it from the similar concept of concealment, in that an object or area of concealment only affords the benefit of stealth, not actual protection from small arms fire or artillery fragments."

There fixed it for you.

The reason we don't use Black/White for camouflage is that they aren't common naturally occuring colours (unless you are in snow)Notice that the SANDF use brown rifles as opposed to the SAPS that uses black. Notice how most SF units in AFghanistan paint their black rifles as soon as they get in country.
From the pic it looks like they're doing coin rural ops.
But hey, if you guys think it looks mean, knock yourself out.

"balaclava, also known as a balaclava helmet or ski mask, is a form of cloth headgear designed to expose only part of the face. Depending on style and how it is worn, only the eyes, mouth and nose, or just the front of the face are unprotected".

"The balaclavas were worn to conceal the identity of the SAS men because some had been working as undercover "plain clothes" men in Northern Ireland, and might need to resume their duties in the province after the Embassy operation."

Seems you were interested in making a point beforehand.

Oh well,my comment was specifically directed at patches' post.
Serving men on this thread have often times mentioned the searing heat that makes wearing any form of Balaclava uncomfortable.

You don't think they wear it riding into battle,do you?

Everybody having fun grin

Hope people understand the different situations in play like trying to be a badass in a non combat situation or in a photo shoot or PR campaign etc.

Prelevent all over the world

Soldiers do so to pass time or as a R&R activity. Same with self made badges or tattoos etc.

For any combat ops post mission briefing all these balaclavas will end up in the pockets or get replaced by appropriate balaclavas

Don't expect these in combat situations unless the guy forgets to remove them or is caught unawares.

So much a do about nothing.

Personally don't see any problem with these as it helps to keep soldiers pre occupied or keep the moral high, provided they r aware when to use it and when to remove it or replace it as the situation demands.

Seems the Algerian Air Force Chief Major General Abdelkadar Lounes was sacked due to a general lack of proper training across the force. Which contributed to the recent IL-76 and C-130 crashes. The muddled up Gulfstream ISR solution probably didn’t help either.
