Unfortunately, a nurse practitioner is not a doctor. Prenatal care with a nurse practitioner with a doctor doing the delivery is between $750-$1100 at the most, not $2000.

$2k is not beans, I may b wrong, but I was one of the 1st people to use Dr Nicholas in 2015, and I did due diligence to fetch him out, then I had a good service, trust me when people rush a particular Doc. their services may drop sure to over booking.. Which is not a reason for bad service thou..
Dr. Nicholas is a qualified Doc who sees more of Latin Americans and black Americans from the sub urban areas.. We too dey rush him too much, can we please do more research and get new untapped Dr. Alot of us just are doing copy and paste no research..

It's bad and heart breaking to get a crappy service but we Nigerians are to used to doing follow follow.. There are untapped hospitals and Dr., but we r not doing due diligence..

So sorry for the bad service, pls am begging get new leads...

I renewed my B1/B2 visa late 2016 and had the intention of going on a family vacation with it in 2017. That trip couldn't happen, because of certain reasons, so that visa was unused and had just 5 days validity left on it when I flew KLM with my three children on 13th October, to go have my fourth child.
I had almost taken the decision to get a fresh visa via dropbox , but changed my mind because of the increase in asking dropbox renewals to schedule an interview instead, my obviously pregnant belly and the difficulty in getting close interview dates.
So, armed with the knowledge that I could be at the POE even at the last date and still get stamped in for six months, I decided to take my chances.

I was 35 weeks and 5 days, at the time of the flight and at MMA, the fit-to-fly letter from my doctor wasn't requested for.
While boarding after the layover at Amsterdam, that wasn't requested for either.



We got into LAX about 11:30 am on 14th October and proceeded to CBP.
All passengers were directed to use the many automated passport control kiosks to scan our visas and answer some questions.
I declared that I had brought in some of the foods asked about, then proceeded to scan my visa.
My old passports were attached to the newest, with rubber bands, so the entire thing was quite bulky. An officer noticed that I had difficulty scanning my visa, because of that, so he came over to help.
I noticed that when the machine asked my reason for coming into the U.S., he selected "Pleasure".
He also scanned my children's passports and the machine issued receipts for the four of us.
Then, we proceeded to the CBP officers at the counter. The one I went to asked nothing about my very obvious pregnancy, correspondence with doctor or hospital, nor did he request to see previous childbirth bills.
He didn't ask how much I brought in with me. I had already declared, on the machine, that I didn't have up to $10k cash with me, anyway.
He asked what foods I had declared and I told him I brought in dried veggies and dried fish. Of course I had more food than that, but those were the only ones I had been required to declare. I had brought in two boxes of food from Nigeria.
He asked when last I had come to the U.S. and I told him. He asked how often my kids had come to the U.S. and I told him how often each had come, since birth.
He looked at my visa, then at his watch. I guess he wanted to confirm that the visa was still valid then.
He asked how long I intended to stay and after I said, "Eight weeks," stamped me in till April 13th 2019, gave me back the receipts from the machine and pointed us in the baggage claim direction.
The entire interaction with him took about five mins.

We picked up our checked in luggage and headed to exit control, where the receipts were taken. We spent less than two mins there.

From there, we exited the airport and got a taxi to the Airbnb home we had rented.
Thanking God for a drama-free and very fast POE experience and resting up for my doctor and hospital appointments.

hopefully when u return you don’t have renewal issues cause it wud be so clear you left early without renewing because of your pregnancy

I intend to go on my missionary journey soon and I plan o. Going to newyork. All the cost/bills that I have been seeing are on the high side. From 10k and above. Does anyone have any good recommendation?. I need help so that I can do more research. Thanks

I did. At 38 weeks. 12 hours from Lagos to Atlanta. POE was a breeze. Wasn't asked for previous receipts, asked about how much cash I held and if I declared childbirth at visa renewal interview. My experience overall on delta flight was great. I was allocated a row with 2 empty seats so I was able to lie down and sleep. In flight entertainment was great as well. Above all,Pray to be favoured.

Theirs is one in jersey not too far from ny cs is about 9k normal delivery is a thousand less
