If its paper then its obvious the person isnt putting in the right Tracking number.. If its paper and he/she puts in the right tracking number and date of birth, then there shouldn't be any issue.

I insist and I Continue to Insist!!!

GCMNOTES will or May have more than what was the reasons on the "white paper"...

Therefore, in physics we say , the White paper is "negligible" not "equating" GCMNOTES

They are not the same, they only follow.

Kriff:
Thank you for a detailed explanation and a good manner of approach. But sincerely, I still feel your whole explanation still equate GCMS Note is a detailed version of White refusal paper because the applicant got to know the reason why both Purpose of Visa and Travel History were ticked. And I feel it's here that almost everyone has concluded that most if not all Purpose of Visit refusal is relating to only Program of Study.

At the end, we will still say that GCMS Note and White paper both highlight the same reason(s) for refusal ONLY that GCMS Note is more detailed in terms of explanation has to how the reasons were derived. Unlike what @Vibrant99 was saying that there can be different reasons stated which is totally wrong.

All in all, if refused please get your GCMS Note. Goodluck to us all.

Guys I thought (Application for a temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada (IMM5257) is meant to be filled for a vistor visa and not study permit

It's required for a study permit, besides a study permit is a temporary residence cause you don't have permanent residence status.

Well, i may agree with you in terms of the GCMS note being a detailed version of the generic letter of refusal. However, the ambiguity of the details sometimes can negate the reason(s) as ticked on the refusal letter. But be rest assured the officer would have documented how he/she reached the decision.

This is so because there are different circumstance in reaching a decision and the generic letter may not precisely capture it and a vague reason(closest in meaning) would be ticked. Purpose of visit even though most often than non concerns your intended program/visit,it may be other reasons aside that. Do not forget the main essence of questioning your purpose of visit is the inability to satisfy the VO that you the applicant would leave at the end of your study.

So @Vibrant99 submission is not out of place. He probably meant the details contained in the GCMS note appears different from the refusal letter in content and meaning. To add, say an applicant has shown very strong will of travelling to study in Canada and probably been rejected previously and suddenly reapplied with an account statement showing multiple lodgements of huge funds with uncleared source within the short period of the previous refusal and the reapplication, such application may be refused for 'purpose of visit' too as

1. It would be clear you are trying hard to get the visa without properly considering reasons for your previous refusal as well as the requirements of the study permit.

2. You likely will not return after study(This is the base point of purpose of visit).

So yes, you may be refused for purpose of visit on the generic letter and your GCMS notes are funds related. The overall circumstances of applicants is key in considering their purpose of visit, funds availability as well as their likelyhood to leave Canada at the end of study. So don't be surprised when the GCMS note is summarised from a different stance point from the generic letter of refusal. A lot would have been considered. Again, it is good to get the GCMS note after a refusal.

Regards.

Passport (required) - Upload your international passport.

Letter of Acceptance (required) - Upload your letter of acceptance from the school.

Proof of means of financial support - Upload your Sponsorship letter, Affidavit of support, bank statements, payslips, sponsor's source of income (like- employment letters, introduction letters from employer, promotions letter etc.) or bussines documents (CAC certificates, tax clearance certificate, article of association and memorandum etc..) Also, include your already paid tuition receipt in this section (if any).

Digital Photo (required) - Upload your Passport Photograph. The passport size should be between 60KB to 240KB and the dimension should be 420X540.

Hi all!!! I safely arrived Montreal Canada three days ago. I flew Lufthansa from Lagos to Frankfurt (6 hours 30 mins), and Air Canada from Frankfurt to Montreal (7 hours 30 mins). Both flights were very smooth. At POE, I was asked why I am resuming late. I told the immigration officer that I had a visa delay, he further asked if my university is aware of my resuming late, I showed him a letter from my professor, saying he is still willing to accommodate me in his lab and allow me resume the term. When he saw the letter, he said "good, good, we are good". After that he issued my study permit. So for some of you just issued study visa, you may want to ask for a letter from from institution, permitting you to resume late.

Before exiting the airport, you'll pass through another immigration check. Those akpo people search my luggage, and collected my milk and milo cry cry. But no wahala, they can have the milk so far I enter their country. You will be asked to declare what items are in your luggage. You have to very truthful. If I was not truthful, I would have been fined, that is a very bad way of entering Canada. Don't bring meat and meat products.

Canada is simply beautiful. Canadians treat you with respect and are always ready to help you, at least that is what I have experienced so far.

For those still hoping and waiting, God go do am for you.

Try applying to any of the colleges in Canada, you can go for PGD OR PGC. Once you get your admission, prepare all documents, most importantly your SOP and LOE and apply for visa. If no one has gotten TRV with HND before now, then you are about to be the first. There is no harm in trying. Shalom.

Modified

Better still, look for a program related to yours in any of the colleges that has opportunity of internship. This will be what you will emphasise in your LOE.
Thank you so much brother. I really appreciate your advice.

I doubt if a Canadian University would admit you for a graduate Diploma program. I do understand that you can be admitted into an advanced Diploma which your HND is technically higher than.

While it will be easier getting into a Canadian college for an Advanced Diploma, getting TRV approval may not be quiet easy. However, you could try and see what happens.

Alternatively, Evaluate your HND transcripts with WES Canada and see if it will be accepted for an M.sc.
Thank you so much for your advice, I’ll definitely give it a good shot.

Good afternoon here.....plss is urgent...i nid to knw something, i was just given admission into 2 colleges in canada for (winter academic section) which is in January.... And visa processing takes more than 3months so i here...now the schools gave me deadlines to pay my tuition fees( though am picking one school)..... The problem now is should i go ahead and make my payment or defer the admission.... And even if am to defer do i still need to pay the fees in order to secure the admission down

you need to be sure the school is a DLI go to cic website and search for DLI,because most schools dnt give deadline to pay fees and then be sure of the session u are defering to...to the best of my knowledge you can defer to d next session just once without paying tuition fees...u using an agent?

In most cases, the refusal letter a times alone may be misleading and if you follow those refusal reasons alone without the GCMS, you would likely risk another refusal except the GCMS notes carry the same word for word reasons for the generic refusal letter but how would you know?
For instance, in the refusal letter of an applicant, the following were ticked
1. Purpose of visit
2. Travel history
3. Personal assets and financial status
But the GCMS notes carry
"After careful review of the application and supporting documents provided, applicant appears to have limited economic and social ties to home country as well as limited funds seen in order to support studies and limited travel history. Study plan does not appear logical considering economic conditions and employment prospect in the applicant's home country, and taking into account factors including travel history, economic establishment, I am not not satisfied that the applicant would respect the terms of admission as a student in Canada. Based on the evidence provided I am not satisfied applicant is a genuine student who intends to study, complete the course of study in Canada and depart at the end of authorised stay. Refused. "

If this applicant had followed only the refusal letter, he would be tackling his PGD as purpose of visit reason, he would not touch limited funds concern, he would also missed the ties to home country which were not mentioned in the refusal letter but elucidated in the visa officer notes.

I got my offer letter from University of Ottawa after 11 weeks of submission. According to the mail I got from them, it was stated as follows "Please keep in mind that the evaluation process takes an average of 10-12 weeks from the time a file is considered complete; you will be notified via e-mail if there are any changes or updates regarding your file." I'm not sure if this is for all faculties or just Engineering.

Mine is 21 weeks already. My file was completed June 5 for fall 2019. Do I write to them or I wait till November ending as you have explained?

GCMNOTES is completely different from that papers that you are given.
"I see people saying it is the same thing but more detailed", Big lie....

Lets assume you got a white letter ticked for Purpose of Visit and Travel history!

Don' be surprised to see in your GCM notes that the "sponsor doesn't have enough or steady flow of funds"........

Oya tell me if Purpose of Visit and Travel history have anything to do with Funds?

Most people here make comments on what they read on here, Most of them not have a direct experience.

Reality is not only lived through experience but also observations channelled to two routes of factual and subjective ideas, that's what builds knowledge. Not trying to attack you but clearly your words reads ignorance.

Purpose of visit relates or points to a vague reasons of understanding even down to funds. This answer is from my own personal experience.

Something like your closing remarks is what makes most people of immersed selfless knowledgeable contributions to render relent, just to safeguard self-respect.

Many have reapplied without gcms notes and were still able to successfully combat previous denial. GCMS in most cases are only expanded Cliff Notes version of the reason(s) ticked in the refusal letter. They are notes in a boilerplate template from which a VO tries to customize the reason for denial as specific to a particular applicant. That is why a lot of GCMS notes sound the same. It is because they are not new notes written from scratch, but taken out of a boilerplate template. Sometimes GCMS shade some light better than the refusal letter as the one AustinPee showed. In other cases, they shade little to no light better than the refusal note. I will advice people to order for them because when they do shade better light, they can extremely be helpful. Some people by ordering their GCMS notes, have discovered errors by a VO which have often led to approval when such errors are pointed. Like someone who discovered through his gcms notes that a VO misintepreted him as been sponsored by a third party, when it was his father that was sponsoring him. This is info that refusal letter would never show. The applicant had to point out such errors which led to an approval. Sundry errors can be discovered by ordering GCMS notes. In other cases, GCMS notes only repeat what is obvious in the refusal note. It is your perogative whether to order them or not.
