A man can have a say on his wedding. Let me share a true life story that happened years ago in IMO state. A guy named Kelvin had planned his wedding with Chioma. On the day of his traditional wedding, his in-laws were demanding for more money after he had spent N1m. It got to a point that he got angry, left the scene of the wedding, switched off his phone for days. His in-laws tried to reach and eventually begged him to marry Chioma but Kelvin stood his ground and decided to call off the wedding. His family pleaded with him but he refused to marry. He later got married to a white lady in Poland and they are blessed with 3 kids.

Just reminded me of a guy that spent close to N6M for his wedding, after 6 months the marriage packed up.. A pathetic ending.. He learnt his bitter lesson, cos at a point before the marriage ended he was a kind of struggling, his company started owing him here and there.

He asked the wife whom after doing her Masters in the UK got a job there, to come back to Nigeria and stay with him, the wife told him that she can't that he should come over to the UK and stay with her, that she can't come to Nigeria and stay, even after the husband promised to get her job in a juicy position (Agip), since his sister was well placed in the company.

They kept on having series of misunderstanding until the marriage finally crashed in what till today still seem unbelievable to the man based on the lady he thought he knew very well when she was in Nigeria.

This guy did an elaborate wedding, lodged the wife's friends that came from abroad in expensive hotels, spent to the tune of N6M for the entire wedding, only for marriage to crash just after 6 months
