I believe alot of unnecessary questions can be avoided if we take our time to read the thread from the begining or atleast from page 70 upwards. Alot of questions here have being answered. We can't keep moving in circles.

For your question there is nothing like exams in Army or Airforce enlistment till you've being called for interview. So pray your name is picked first(which is done randomly).

There's aptitude test for Army.

That test is done during screening.

I noticed a lot of people here are very lazy to visit the portal.

Most questions asked here, their answers are already at the Army application site.

GenAnsahCinC:

Let me tell you a little thing about Nigerian military (Army in particular).

90% of things in the army need a godfather.

To get enlisted you need godfather. Very few get it by merit. And before you get it by merit you must be 100% qualified.

To get promotions in some cases, you need godfather (especially if you are RC or SSC) regardless whether you have passed the promotional exams or not. There will get to a point where your promotion will depend on godfather and not exams.

To get certain appointments you need godfather. There are many SSC who get good appointments than RC guys. Everything boils down to who you know in the system.

To be picked for missions and courses in foreign countries (in most cases) you need godfather.

To get service extension you need godfather.

There are officers who get retired once the reach the age limit for their ranks and their colleagues with the same age don't get retired. This is because the latter have godfather.

That professional certification you are being required to possessed only applies to applicants without strong networks.

If you have a strong network I urge you to apply. Whether you have ICAN or not you will be picked.

There are many people in the system who didn't meet the requirements but they are there.

I know three RC officers whose WAEC certificates were older than the required year as the time the apply for NDA and the were picked.
Two of them are Lt now. While one will be passing out next year.

The reason I told you earlier to go for NN or NAF was because those branches of service are a bit fair in their dealings compare to Army.

But if you have the big shot, apply for Army.
With or without being a member of any professional bodies you will be picked..

There are many things I'd like to tell you about the military but for some reasons I won't.

Just try your best.

I wish you success.

guys can you please help out, while filling the online form, I noticed some tricky and sensitive question and would appreciate if you guys can help me out in filling them

1. Tribal Marks: is this associated with the tattoo they talk about? though I have a not too obvious tribal marks should I select YES OR NO, do army consider tribal marks as tattoo
2. Occupation
3. Employer

having in mind that it's a random selection process and only God knows what the system would use in filtering candidates

yes ooooooo and these things were asterisked meaning they are part of those salient things that are important, abeg ugo4u, GenAnsahCinC, Abiodunlasa and others abeg contribute.

would Army take one serious if you already claim to have a job and maybe considering switching jobs because of passion, or they would think that one is a jobless desperate person seeking employment (If peradventure we say we are unemployed).

Be as honest as possible while filling the form. I don't think anybody will disqualify you having or not having a job.
Most atimes the site is programmed to automatically weed out applicants who fail to meet some core requrements such as age, height, convicts etc but for your question its a big no

Sorry house, but i have this great urge to ask a question. Going by the earlier drama of justifying the RCs' superiority over other commissions, i would like to know if after conversion, a SSC officer is still seen as not equal with a RC. smiley

Do you want to join the Army to serve or you want to join for seniority? If the former is your answer, then your question is very very very irrelevant.
at this stage you should be thinking of how to get enlisted and not seniority.
There will be more than 5000 people applying for this army job from your state and only less than 10 will be enlisted.
this should be your concern and not SSC and RC seniority.

well, let me answer your irrelevant question.

Whether SSC guys convert to RC or not, it doesn't changed the fact that RC guys are the bosses in the system.
the reason SSC guys are allowed to convert to RC is to enabled SSC guys to extend their service year in the system and not to share seniority with RC guys.

if your aim of wanting to join is for seniority I advise you back off to avoid disappointment. Because you'll be disappointed.

My brother forget about the issue of sentiment and other irrelevant question please. The reason for your inquisitiveness is because you have not joined the system. You know this recruitment is highly competitive so if you know you truly have passion for the job what should be Paramount to you now and every other applicants that are curious like you is to find a way to be recruited to the system, once you successfully join the Army you will get to know all these things you are curious about easily. So I urge you to focus on joining the Army first as that is the most important thing for now. For example when we were still seeking for an admission into higher Institution we were eager and we were wanting to know virtually all the system of the higher Institution which cannot be possible and as a result we find it difficult, but the moment we were given an admission and as time passes by we got to know everything with ease.

like an Army friend do tell me" You can't know everything about Army until you have joined the Army"
I wish everyone of us Success!

Cheers!

Officer calm down, our temperaments are different. Mind you am not saying am in support of his backlash been a beneficiary but I just tend to ignore some things.

You know you can't call the help line to ask if it's true one needs godfather to be enlisted.

Many questions we can't ask the helpline, but the truth is all technical questions should be directed to the helpline.

Eya sorry.....

I have been following this thread from page 1 to this current page.

The way and manner genansahcinc answer questions baffel me ...

Someone once asked a question why he made a comment to Ugo....and he said Ugo knows why,and the person should ward off...... I got stung by the response....it's a public blog......if he wants to personalize the msg,den inbox Ugo directly and don't let everyone see the msg....knowing fully well that Ugo has your digits....

There was a time in one of the pages that he was talked down......and he left not until now when the form came out......

It's simple...... You didn't create this so,if you can't answer questions with courtesy, just read and pass....

Genansch or what ever your name is.....your own Don too much.....

Ugo4u so you expect me to start reading from page 1 to 171 because I have a question that can easily be answered by someone with info around the corner? You must be a joker. I have a job and I don't spend all day online. Learn how to do things through the easier way please.

The emboldened is really unnecessary and uncalled for , I personally know a thread where lots of officers has been there for ages helping officers in making who really loved the job.

Those who got in and were helped via the info they gave are doing same back to the thread..

Little wonder we have none or few officers coming back to this thread to advice, encourage or answer questions being asked , it's cos of stupid comment like yours up there..

I am really surprised at the kind of ridiculous and venomous comments up there.

First of all, you guys should understand that no one pays anyone money to provide answers to the numerous questions applicants here asks. Whosoever provides an answer does so out of his own goodwill, magnanimity and wealth of knowledge. The person should be encouraged and not talked down on.

As much as Gen Ansah has misled us in the past, it is all in past. We all know the truth and he doesnt claim what he isnt anymore. You shoild also understand that some aplicants are even much more knowledgeable about the army than some army officers themselves. I can attest that most of the information Gen Ansah drops here is entirely true.

Let us stop acting like we are paying him to answer our questions, abeg.
