Your "personal experience" with God or Jesus is not unique to Christianity. It is the same "personal experience" Muslims have with Allah or Muhammad. It is the same "personal experience" Buddhists have with Buddha. Etc.

The reason you believe that feeling is coming from Jesus is because that's what your religion has programed you to believe. But its a lie!. That feeling is a natural energy channel that anybody can tap into. It has nothing to do with Christianity!. Everybody has that "personal experience" towards anything they attach great importance to; including Shango and Ogun worshippers.

my dear, dnt mistake religion for Christianity or Christianity for science. If Christianity is religion then it would have no power over the different African gods. If Christianity is science, then Physics and Chemistry textbook would have been used in churches.

There's no power in Jesus or Christianity unless you've allowed it power. There's no power in African Gods unless you've allowed them power.

You create your reality. When you understand it, you'll understand that anything can have power over you if you allow it. Not just Gods can have power over you. Just like Gods, alcohol, sex, crystal meth, cocaine, etc could possess and have power over a person.

We humans are the greatest power on this earth, in fact, we're Gods. The only thing that can have power over us are the ones we're stupid enough to allow.

QUESTIONS

1. if there's no power in Jesus, how come there wud den be power in Him when u allow it??

2. if you agree that we are Gods, are you not affirming what the Bible says in Psalm 82:6 which Jesus paraphrased in John 10:35?? If u affirm, are you not siding with the Bible??

The way nature is configured is that there is power in everything, but consciousness and emotion must activate it to become real. Your center table or the pictures hanging on the wall in your room or any other item, has all the power you need. If you activate them as your God, they'll have power over you and they'll indeed answer your prayers.

Yes, some of the things said in the Bible is true, but not all. So, it doesn't mean something must be true because it is in the Bible or that it is not true because it is not in the Bible.

Christianity (is not a religion) doesn’t exist because of the Bible any more than you exist because of your birth certificate.

Yes, religion is Bondage!!!

The early First Century Jesus Followers before "Christianity" becomes the official religion of the Roman Empire, got the attension of on-lookers because of the way they LOVED one another.

Because of their believe in "Jesus is Lord" and not Emperor Nero or the rest before Constantine; they were burnt at the stake, beheaded and other gruesome punishment meted to the early Century Believers.

Yet the Message prevailed and kept growing up till Emperor Constantine saw a vision of the Cross before a battle, as told by Historians, and became a Christian.

Although the events that follows after the Pope, Bishops... became powerful is a deviation from the Original message of our Saviour Jesus, which is LOVE.

Hence the rise of the Martin Luther's reformation against the Catholic Church...and the birth of denominations.

Since time immemorial the sacred men (Religious Leaders) have been using the Scripture to control scared, Lazy, Superstitions followers...who doesn't know any better.

The standard for measuring truth is mathematics, logic, emphericism, observation, repeatable experiment. If applied to the Bible, less than 1% of what is written there is true. The whole of Genesis is a myth, it didn't happen. Almost the whole of the new testament is an invention; including the whole of the book of Revelation is literature written in the form of Harry Potter.

So, even though few things in the Bible may be correct, but generally the Bible is not a reliable book. I don't recommend it for anybody...... though an inquisitive adult may read it once just to see what's written there. I plan to read the Koran one of these days just to see what's is inside. That's how all the so called holy books should be treated because they're like children's book that adults may read out of curiosity.

Now I think I understand where u get ur bearing from and the very foundation of ur school of thought.....

ur standard can only measure what d human mind can grasp i.e what can be seen, touched and maybe felt but it totally excludes things beyond those three. I can see you're a religious person. Unfortunately, it won't allow you think beyond religious dogma.

For your information, before science in the 15th century, the accepted fact by Christianity was that the earth is FLAT and that its in the centre of the universe where THE SUN REVOLVES AROUND THE EARTH instead of the other way round.

It was science that came along and disproved Christianity by showing that the earth is ROUND and that it REVOLVES AROUND THE SUN. Christian leaders at that time killed some of the scientists and forced others to withdraw their support for such knowledge.

Clearly, the Bible God didn't know the earth revolves around the sun until he was told.

So, you can see how blind Christianity could be if we remove science.

This ideology is simply called HUMANISM, the very bedrock of the transition from the PERENNIAL to what is today called MODERNISM, which makes humans an end in himself and MATERIALISM his main focus. A turning away from the heavens to conquer the earth.

Your message of doing good irrespective of our beliefs is indeed a sound one. Even though as supperfacial as this message. I respect this line of thinking.

All this beliefs in 'GODS' are apparent multiplicity, a degeneration from an ABSOLUTE veiled be SUPPERSITIONS. If you have studied PERENNIALISM you will understand better, these transitions. Humanism is only one of the reflection of this transitional stages in the direction of degeneration like PAGANISM.

This trend will continue, with apostles of HUMANISM preaching there Gospel of HUMANS ARE THEMSELVES GOD.

Its the stage that we are today in our humanity, an erosion of PERENNIALISM.

Whatever is left of PERENNIALISM today, be it Budahism,Islam, Christianity, and e.t.c as practiced presently are a MEDIOCRITY to its AUTHENTICITY. VERY ADULTERATED. No much SUBSTANCE except realised by hearts SINCERE who are seekers after WISDOM.

That was a personal philosophical conclusion and not necessarily a humanist position. I no longer believe in any "group" belief/organized belief of any sort; including science. What I've decided to do henceforth is create my own belief system so that I can be sure of what I believe. This way, a belief system like Christianity would never fool me again!.

However, if I find a bit of truth in humanism I'll accept it. If I find some bit of truth in Christianity I'll accept it. If I find some bit of truth in Islam I'll accept it. If I find some piece of truth in traditional African religion I'll accept it. If I find some truth in science I'll accept it. No matter where the truth is found I'll grab it.

No one system has figured it all; including science doesn't know all the truth. Man is not perfect so whatever organized system we create cannot be perfect. Life is like a giant puzzle and the truth is not in any one organization, but if you seek with open mind, you'll find the truth scattered all over the place.

What is religion? Explain to me why Christianity is not a religion. If you can't explain this in your next reply, I am sorry to say I won't continue any further discussion with you.

The scientists weren't a part of writing the bible, they weren't even born by the time the bible was written. The first bible was published in 1455, more than 100 years before the first science pioneers in Europe. Nicola Copernicus, Gailio Gailio, Isaac Newton, etc, they all inherited a religious indoctrination the moment they became Christians from birth. Inherited indoctrination is when you adopt a belief and you believe it without asking question because others believe it.

You can't find flat earth in the bible today because such, and many more has been deleted a long time ago by the Roman Catholic church who wrote your bible. In fact, whole books were removed at some point. Example; the 1611 AD bible had more 14 books that were later completely removed because Rome didn't like what was in them.

List of some books removed from the bible.

(1). The Prayer of Manasses
This work dates from the first century B.C. It was intended to be used in connection with the story of Manasseh's Babylonian captivity (2 Chron. 33). Parts of the Prayer have found their way into Protestant liturgy.

(2). The Song of the Three Holy Children
This addition to the Book of Daniel was written about 100 B.C. and was found inserted in his book, in the third chapter, right after the 23rd verse.

(3). The History of Susanna
This is another 1st century B.C. addition to the book of Daniel. It is generally found prefixed to the book. The purpose of the story is to magnify Daniel's powers and the judgment.

(4). First Esdras
This is the Greek version of, and in some parts a reconstruction of the canonical Book of Ezra. It was written about 100 B.C. Some of the subject matter added is from the book of Nehemiah.

(5). Second Esdras
This book is an apocalypse, especially chapters 3-14. It is composite in origin, dating from 65 B.C. to 120 A.D. The value of the book lies in the fact that it focuses heavily on the period of Jewish thought surrounding the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. The views it expresses on eschatology are closely allied to the teachings of the New Testament.

(6). First Maccabees
First Maccabees, written by a Jew in Palestine during the latter part of the 2nd century B.C., is perhaps the best historical source on the period from 175 to 135 B.C. Well written, it reveals deep insight into the root causes of the Maccabean rebellion and details the rebellion itself down to the death of Simon in 135 B.C. This book is essential to both Christians and Jews. It gives detailed information relative to Antiochus Epiphanes and his desecration of the Jerusalem Temple, an action which Jesus said would be repeated at the time of the end. The book also contains a wealth of details relative to the Jewish feast of Hannukah (which celebrates the re-dedication of the Temple Antiochus debased). That information is available from no other source, Jewish or otherwise, and without it there would be no Hannukah celebration.

(7). Second Maccabees
Unlike the first Book of the Maccabees, this work is a combination of history and fiction. It seems to be less useful than the first. It is an abridgment of a far more extensive work in existence at the time of its writing in the latter part of the 2nd century B.C, It presents information about the period leading up to the rebellion of the Maccabees under Mattathias in Modein and follows it down to 161 B.C.

(cool. Tobit
The Book of Tobit, a work of fiction, was very popular among Jews and early Christians. It is a story of romance and legend from the Jewish Dispersion in Egypt. It was written in the 3rd century B.C., and was based upon two well-known Egyptian stories. The purpose of this book was to teach useful lessons and at the same time correct some of the then-current superstitions. It features prominently the angel Raphael.

(9). Bel and the Dragon
Written about 100 B.C., this story reveals Daniel's wisdom in exposing the falsehood of idolatry and those who promote it. The book also reveals the existence in Babylon of a dragon-god. Information about this idol is available from no other source, but it is particularly relevant in light of dragon prophecies relative to the last days, scattered throughout the scriptures.

(10). Judith
The Book of Judith relates a story of victory won by the chosen people over its enemies, thanks to the intervention of a woman. It is a legendary tale of a Jewish widow reminiscent of 'Joan of Ark' who succeeds in outwitting and finally slaying a great Assyrian general, thus bringing deliverance to her oppressed people. It was written in Palestine during the latter half of the 2nd century B.C., probably by a Pharisee

(11). Baruch
The greater part of this book was written in the 1st century A.D. under the assumed name of Baruch, the private secretary of Jeremiah. The 6th chapter is known as the Epistle of Jeremiah. Both books contain a series of exhortations, encouragements, and severe denunciations.

(12). Ecclesiasticus
This book, written about 180 B.C., contains proverbs and practical observations of life two centuries before the birth of Christ. The work closely resembles the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament. It represents one of the most valuable records of early Rabbinical thought. It was translated into Greek in 132 B.C. by a grandson of the author (Jesus ben Sira)

(13). Wisdom
In many respects, this is one of the most valuable books of the entire Apocrypha. It was written by a Jew of the Dispersion about 65 B.C. It is similar to the Wisdom Books of the Old Testament. It was written especially to combat the materialistic tendencies of the canonical book of Ecclesiastes. Filled with stunning prophecy and replete with the powerful and spiritual essence of God, this book is also sometimes referred to as the 'Wisdom of Solomon'.

(14). The book of Adam and Eve
This book tells the original creation story before Genesis was written.

(15). The book of Enoch
This book talks about ancient mysticism and fallen angels.

Note: There are many more books, more than 20 books that didn't make it as canonical at the conference of Nicea and therefore not included.

So, as you can see, the bible has been doctored several times throughout history to suit Roman dictates before it became what it is today. So, your bible as is today is not even the real bible!. It has been so much watered down that its almost different from the ancient scripts there were copied.

I CAN TESTIFY THAT MY FIRST EVER BIBLE HAD THESE BOOKS (MOST).
IN THE BOOK OF TOBIT, THE STORY OF TOBIT, TOBIAS, THE BRIDE, THE FISHING EXPERIENCE AND THE DEMONS IS PURE FICTION.. JUST LIKE THE HARRY POTTER STORIES. NO WONDER YOU CAN'T FIND MOST OF THOSE BOOKS IN BIBLES TODAY.

AS FAR AS I KNOW IT CAN'T BE THE WORD OF GOD WHEN YOU HAVE MEN EDITING AND MODIFYING THE BIBLE AS THEY PLEASE.
I BELIEVE THAT IN A FEW DECADES MOST OF DEUTERONOMY, LEVITICUS, AND THE FICTIONAL REVELATION WILL DISAPPEAR ALSO.

#bolded can only mean that you believe in a GOD with a particular attribute as you have defined in that statement you have made. "IT CAN'T BE THE WORD OF GOD WHEN YOU HAVE MEN EDITING AND MODIFYING THE BIBLE AS THEY PLEASE".

Otherwise your judgement in this disqualification of the Bible because of editing and modification of the Bible by men won't be so because you have a STANDARD AS TO WHAT GOD CAN AND CAN'T. Hence, you believe in a GOD as to your statement and whose acts is unlike MEN.

"IT CAN'T BE THE WORD OF GOD WHEN YOU HAVE MEN EDITING AND MODIFYING THE BIBLE AS THEY PLEASE".
