In fact, you don't need WAEC to run for any election.
All you need is EVIDENCE of being educated up to at least School certificate level or its equivalents or being able to read and write and work in Government offices for at least 10 years.

This letter of projection to pass exam and a testimonial from secondary school PRINCIPAL was necessary and sufficient to meet Nigerian Army criteria.

It is even more than sufficient to meet constitutional requirements for President. You don't need a certificate to prove you have been "educated to a standard equivalent to WASC". In the old days, people were entering university with no cert but on the basis of passing entrance exams. "Awaiting Results".

Most well educated Nigerians with higher degrees find the whole noise about certificates very demeaning for them to comment about. It is a brainless issue. If you did not struggle to get WASC, WASC will be nothing to you. It is the dullards amongst us who see this thing as an issue.

It is clear from his army career, speech, carriage, experience and exposure that Buhari is far educated beyond WASC. If you dont think so, your IQ should be called into question.

Nothing there denies the military board got it. the military spokesman said he couldn't confirm nor deny which was striking and I believe this to be political since it was during Jonathan's era. If they never received it, it's pretty straightforward, the spokesman would have said it was never submitted or received.

This matter is pointless Buhari's detractors should find another thing there is no way here

Ordinary School certificate (O/Level) issued by WAEC shows the levels of your knowledge in each subjects.

The Principal's letter of recommendation and application into the Nigerian Army was done in Oct, 1961 but Buhari actually joined the Army and wrote WASC/Cambridge the following year ,1962.
Check you sources of information very well.

Seems you didn't get the main point of the matter, he submitted a court affidavit to inec that his WASC certificate was with the military, that it was confiscated during the military coup of 1986. He never entered the military with the said certificate, so will would he lie to the court and Nigerians.
No body is doubting the fact that he went to that provincial secondary school kastina, but he never sat for the exam as he got into the military before he could do that, and never submitted his certificate to the military

He never did. There was no results to that effect

I thought this issue of Buhari Certificates was thoroughly debated and even settled by the court in 2014/15.

I cannot understand this new agitation.

Fact is Buhari is educated beyond School certificate, he went for studies in NDA (equivalent to a degree) and US Army War College (which is equivalent to Masters degree). These are apart from other courses he did both in India and UK. To think he went through NDA without a school certificate is ridiculous.

I think we should spend time discussing and debating other important issues that affect us and our country.
