....some people and exaggerations sha. Where is the mud water in the picture? I understand is brownish, but not that dirty. That water will wash a white clothes clean self. And of-course you should re-wash all your vegs at home before cooking or eating them raw. |

OP is mad! Where in Awka is this? NEVER Awka as there is no stream as such in Awka. Nevertheless the washing of bitterleaf in this flooded stream is unhygienic, even though u have to rewash and steam it before using for soup |

Its a stream for crying out loud. Since the government wouldnt provide the basic amenities, most eastern villages depend on such stream for their daily surviver even to the extent of drinking from that same stream. I'm sure it just finished raining and you'll all would be surprised to see how clean that muddy water would look like as soon as it stops raining. Before we start our blame games I'll advice that we learn to sometimes leave our comfort zones in other to explore other people's way of life. Life is not always easy on the other side. |

Who cooks bitterleaf without re-washing it from it? Reason you can never be sure of the type of water used for the initial washing; likewise every other vegetable. The sole reason why I don't buy already Sliced Ugu leaf in the market. I take it home peel it myself , wash very well before slicing. # we no chop wetin go kill us o! |

Where is NAFDAC? Always harassing the small businessman for not following proper protocol to obtain a NAFDAC licence when the real crime is being committed in our markets. |

pedel:You’re preaching to the choir. All that you wrote still doesn’t stop the market woman from doing the right thing. Why don’t we just shit on the street because the guvmint didn’t provide a sewer system. |

ChrisMafian:You are right, I was the guilty one. I will refrain from be tribalistic in future. What I cannot get my head around is can't they see that the water is dirty or if the water looks undrinkable why wash vegetables inside, and anybody that cooks know that vegetables is highly absorbent. The only conclusion I can arrive at is again poverty. It has eroded Nigerians consciousness. Basic common sense will tell one the water has the brownish colour for a reason. |

The op is just seeking attention and want to discredit Anambra, that is not mud water, is a stream, the colour if soil in that part of world is reddish that's why it looked like mud, is a flowing stream and a flowing water cannot be a mud water. Whatever you are posting will never take away anything from Anambra as one of the best place in all parameter. Bad belle |

Market women/ sellers are naturally dirty & careless with food items, so if u do not rewash wtv u buy from them properly before eating then u must be mad. |
