But You said this is a 3euro stock......... Actually, I believe wapco will still tend in the #150 to #200 zone in the next 4 years, I am on accumulation mode... I have this belief because Wapco has a humongous revenue stream and right now they are just trying to shake away weak retail investors

WAPCO is suffering from typical Nigeria syndrome
Potential all the time
This is the manifestation you see in the face of endemic corporate mismanagement
WAPCO has defiled TA and FA
Dz company is going into an irreversible downward trajectory.
I will not be supprised if this company is placed under a receivership
Billion of Naira in Commercial papers bonds and other instruments of debt.
Assuming you review your analysis monthly, quarterly, or yearly.. Where do you think dz company with big potential should be?
I will not be surprised if this company trade at sub N10 by January 2019.

Did anybody disturb them not to finish back with price? Dangote should ride on that is the way of the capitalist/monopolist. If they cant beat him then they should handover their company to him

wapco has their market too, if u enter most part of ibadan u will attest to this, when i went to jos I was suprisd to see the town painted by bua cement trucks, in zamfara katisna axis its sokoto cement, one thing u will understand fast in cement business is that it is a high bulk low value good, It is just inefficiencies in our transportation system that is making Dangote and others make large killings transporting something a little better than sand all over Nigeria by road....I am not afraid for any cement factory in Nigeria as far as your factory is not @ Dangotes backyard

Revenue wise wapco is not doing bad, its just that equity holders share of the pie right now is non existent, wapco right now exists for admin expenses and paying borrowed debt, but i want to believe the new restructuring exercise they are carrying out.....by the time it start trickling down to equity holder they way the share price will move ehh......

Currently, I still expect wapco to go down more probably sub #10,as they will definitely declare loss this year, the cheaper you get it the better for long termers.....

https://www.proshareng.com/news/Reviews---Outlooks/Nigerian-Diamond-Bank-Downgraded-On-Weak/42613

Recently I made an analysis on the endemic destruction inflicted on diamond bank by dozie et al.
I am not surprised at the downgrade by rating agencies.
The diamond Bank we are seeing now is lifeless,Quater lifeline is left.
The bank is a bad business for JIJO crews, A disaster for futuristic investors.
Diamond Bank is one of the dogs we should all avoid.
Continuous presence of dozie et al can further worsen the precarious situation.
A bank that inflates asset prices in order to cook up an imaginary capital adequacy ratio will only polarized in the ways of the Ayeni et al of the defunct sky bank (now resting in pieces)

Carlyle-Backed Diamond Gets Cash Offer From Unnamed Investor
By Yinka Ibukun and Emele Onu
7 November 2018, 15:15 GMT+2
Updated on 7 November 2018, 18:31 GMT+2
Ex-chairman Bickersteth also says there’s been M&A talks
Nigeria Lender looking to shore up funds to meet threshold
Diamond Bank Plc has received an offer from a major investor to inject cash by increasing its stake, a move that would help the Nigerian lender keep its capital adequacy ratio above the required threshold, according to the outgoing chairman.

The proposal was on condition that Chief Executive Officer Uzoma Dozie resigns, Seyi Bickersteth said in an interview in Lagos, the commercial capital, without naming the shareholder. Diamond’s biggest investor is U.S. private equity firm Carlyle Group LP, which declined to comment.

Ezechinyere Anyanwu, a spokesman for Diamond Bank, declined to comment on whether there has been a recapitalization offer.

Diamond is one of a number of smaller Nigerian lenders struggling to maintain a regulatory requirement for banks with international operations to have reserves of capital that cover at least 15 percent of outstanding loans. The company’s ratio stood at 16.3 percent at the end of September, the lender has said.

Bad Loans
Capital requirements became a concern for many Nigerian banks in 2016 after a contraction in the economy caused by an oil-price slump triggered a surge in non-performing loans. Standard & Poor’s on Tuesday cut Diamond Bank’s rating to CCC+/C from B-/B, citing pressure on capital and foreign-currency liquidity.

Diamond has also discussed selling itself to a larger rival, but this plan was eventually rejected after a boardroom vote, Bickersteth said, declining to identify the potential acquirer.

“The majority of us voted against” the takeover, he said. “The bank cannot be pushed into the hands of one suitor,” if it intends to get the best value for shareholders.

Diamond Bank’s Anyanwu confirmed that a board meeting took place last month but declined to give details of what was discussed.

To add to the confusion surrounding the lender, Bickersteth is challenging an announcement by the bank that he’s no longer chairman. He initially quit alongside three other non-executive directors in a walkout last month, only to rescind his resignation and vote on the proposed takeover proposal. Nevertheless, Diamond announced his departure on Oct. 25.

The lender has announced plans to dispose of its U.K. subsidiary, which would follow the sale of four divisions elsewhere in West Africa. That would leave it as a purely Nigerian company, meaning it could qualify for a national license that would reduce its minimum capital adequacy ratio to 10 percent from 15 percent.

The bank cut its full-year profit forecast by more than half on Tuesday after income from operations declined. It now expects profit before tax to reach 3.8 billion naira ($10.4 million), down from a previous target of 8 billion naira.

The shares rose 2.5 percent on Wednesday, trading at 1.21 naira at the close in Lagos. The stock is down 19 percent this year, compared with a 12 percent fall on the NSE Banking 10 Index.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT/MSCI NIGERIA PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT - AS AT 7 NOVEMBER 2018

For 7th November 2018 the All share Index closed on a weak bearish mode. Seem bear is tired of being in control of the market for the present moment. We cross our hand to see what market has to offer today.

After backing out of the market for so long, I decided to test the market with a small unit of Nahco shares. I expect this to be a short time play.

For today expected High is 32,189,92 low at 32054.97.

In view of the fact that some additional information on our postings will now be added, you can check our twitter handle “Target Technical Analysis” and also look forward to our book that will give a simple equation for interpreting the income statements know what you can investing in by just looking without any complex/time wasting calculation, you are done within 3 minutes of looking at any Income statement.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). Don't invest money you cannot afford to lose.
N:B

1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.
