Ruthina000: "For a follow-up interview" very likely connote a 221g refusal Na. It can't be rescheduled from the applicant's end! You only hope they do it of their own accord, but pretty much in order to apply for an earlier day rescheduling. 2 Likes |

NicoleObi: They need the baby's date of birth during your notary process at the embassy. Besides how can you swear to a baby that is not even born yet? From a legal perspective I believe that person does not exist yet. That could be dicey. I would rather advice you wait for the baby's arrival then swear for the baby before a notary. |

Ruthina000: I have never seen anybody here who declared birth centre and got the visa, birth centre is a big risk because if you are unfortunate to have complications they are not equipped to handle it and if you are rushed to the hospital the bill will be very high. 8 Likes |

Ruthina000: Be it birth centre or hospital, VO doesn't frown at any. Provided you want to give birth. You can either use a birth centre or an hospital. A colleague of mine was issued her visa and gave birth in a birth centre in US. In fact, according to her, she was given special treatment more like the hospitals..... It's basically for birth....... So far, your intentions aren't away from giving birth... Thanks for shedding more light Overload77. That is factually not true. 7 Likes |

overlord77: dear overlord77 sir....with much respect....... i've noticed your posts on the chicago POE issue and now birth centres..... just thought to mention that none of these things are an exact science. NL is all about people's experiences.....even the US visa process appears to be about the VO's experiences and perspective....when we make statements based on the expereince of 90% of the people here...the experience of the majority may differ from yours...you being in the 10%...but it would be wise to heed advise from the majority...unless otherwise directed by own's intuition or divine guidance... a case in point is being called for interview 221g after dropbox application....i'm sure there is a 10% who scaled through drop box after childbirth without being called for interview.....but 90% are asked to appear at Walter Carrington or whatever the abuja equivalent is.....an objective mama will be careless to ignore this. So...... i make bold to say again....if you don't have liver...mountain faith....and serious confidence....please my sisters don't "near" ORD aka Chicago or birth centre. and if you can afford it...just go for a more expensive hospital and avoid drama. PS: just my opinion and perspective o....i may well be wrong...... 14 Likes |

Ruthina000:This is bad advise. If you’ve been on this thread for long, you’ll know that people have been denied visas or renewal based on the use or potential use of birthing centers. If I remember correctly, one person was asked why she wanted to travel thousands of miles, just to go and use a birthing center? And if things go south (which it oftentimes does)you’ll end up at the hospital you were avoiding anyways, with higher bills cos of complications. So what’s the point? 12 Likes |

Mamaroon: Well, you might be right but there is a difference between experience and assumptions. What I was trying to say is, when something happens (e.g visa or border entry refusal) most people just assume the reason stuff happened and not the actual. It's these assumptions am trying to kick against ma'am. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Nobody: 6:01am On Nov 09, 2018 |
Well, i don't think so. This is because I know some that have given birth in birthcentres. MamaOO, if I don't know I won't be saying it here. But all well and good, let the person make her decision. It's just one of those normal questions of VO, you just have to state your intentions so far you don't have a high risk pregnancy except you're deceiving yourself. Good morning guys. MamaOO: |

hello everyone currently in Houston. I flew Air France at 35 weeks 4 days. flight was uneventful. economy from Lagos to Paris, upgraded to premium from Paris to Houston. the premium is a bit more comfortable than economy but Air France isn't know for its comfort sha. I wasn't asked for fit to fly in Lagos or paris POE experience was a breeze, we landed Thursday 8th Nov the line at the border wasn't long but there weren't plenty officers on duty. I stayed on the line for 1 hr plus before it got to my turn. the guy asked me if I had a doctor and my payment plan. I showed him the mail correspondence and the receipt of deposit. asked if we had food, we said yes he mentioned egusi and crayfish and we said yes. na so he stamp us in. there is this blueish form they give on the plane where you declare currency and foodstuff. apparently George Bush airport doesn't use it again. so waiting for my first dr appointment and the birth of my LO 15 Likes |

If you have contacted those Birth Centers you will be informed of their policy, if there's complications Aunty na hospital you go end up .. High Risk or Not. And this birthing centre will not refund you if you're being transferred to the hospital thereby making your case an Emergency. And you know what that means. Plenty bills. So why go through all this stress? From part 4 and 5 there are cases of visa refusal based on this. Ruthina000: 5 Likes 1 Share |

Simplicity01: Friend who had a too long visa interview date decided to forfeit previous payment and cancel her 2019 appointment, pay another visa fee and pay an agent through the nose for a 2018 interview date. Don't know how these agents get these so called unavailable dates but they really fleece desperate people! |

Good day everyone in the house. I tried renewing my visa via dropbox but was invited for a follow up interview. I have been trying to schedule for this appointment but the payment confirmation page does not recognise my receipt number it gives an invalid error message. I have sent several mails and filled the feedback form on the appointment page but yet to get any help. Will it be right to pay for another visa fee. I will appreciate any support. |

Don't be ridiculous. I've made my point, let the person who asked the question make a decision. And mind you, this is a thread where anyone can fish out experiences, opinions and ideas. You dont say negative words or be abusive to anyone here. I have never said one to anyone, so mind your words...... Your comment shows the kind of attitude you portray. You say your own and let others say theirs..... You said YOU PUT IT TO ME....... like you know who I'm talking about, as if you were there with those that gave birth there....... Please, mind your choice of words. Sparkle1515: 3 Likes |

Hi Madriel, I have answered your question , others have also done same. You can make your decision. I never knew answering questions here could make someone insult one unjustly. Really, I don't understand. I feel everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, you don't need to insult anyone. You can imagine sparkle1515 calling someone clueless....... I mean, as it gotten to that? Anyway, I hope you've made your findings.... Madriel: 2 Likes |
