Thank you all so much for your responses. I do appreciate and will make a decision based on all I've read.

Good evening, just like Ruthina000 tried to point out there is really nothing bad in trying birth center. They try to simulate a normal home environment and all, and people have successfully used them for birthing. They also have experienced midwives, ultrasound scanning machines and other tools for ante natal purposes. The downside is that they are not as sophisticated and equipped as a hospital. Which means in case of any complications during birthing, you will have to be rushed to the nearest hospital which they usually have agreements with. Talking from experience actually, used the center in 2013. And they are not all that cheap either. Paid $4100 in 2013 and that amount could have easily been used at WHMC. It's all about options weighing. Another downside is refusal because of birth center. So Madriel please weigh your options well before making decision.
I apologize to Ruthina000 on behalf of Sparkle. Let's not castigate one another for giving one's opinion please. No one knows it all. And people learn from the diverse opinions and suggestions. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Well, you might be right but there is a difference between experience and assumptions. What I was trying to say is, when something happens (e.g visa or border entry refusal) most people just assume the reason stuff happened and not the actual. It's these assumptions am trying to kick against ma'am.

It's all good...thanks sir

No biggie, what matters is the duration the cbp officer stamps you in for, this would ditermine how long you'll stay

Hmmm...very risky.

Did you get the visa for the purpose of giving birth?

If not just hope you don't come in contact with a CBP officer that will stamp you in for just the month left on your visa...and yes it has happened.

Dear all,

I appreciate the effort you guys put into sharing your experience on here, it has made he journey easier for a lot of us.

I am a FTM, looking to travel to Houston in Jan/Feb 2019 as I am due in March 2019. Apologies I do not have any transcript to share as I have a valid BI/B2 which i intend on using for the forthcoming journey.

From the trend I understand that Houston Methodist has recently reviewed their prices, please i will appreciate it if anyone has used them in the past year and willing to give a review (if allowed) and also share the new estimate of price.

Second, I see a lot of people talk about Dr. F and Dr. E, any other recommendation? Also, is it just the doctor I will contact or the hospital as well ( Have been unable to get clarifications from previous discussions)

Good morning house,
please I will be travelling to Atl in a week's time at 35 weeks 4days.
I need advice from the house.
is it ok for me to book wheelchair services or will it create unnecessarry attention at POE and on transit at frankfurt.

The reason I want to opt for the wheel chair service is that for the past 2 weeks I have been having severe pelvic pain especially when standing to walk from one place to another after sitting or lying down. It can be so painful that I might find it difficult to even move my legs for about a minute or so.

Please anyone with this experience that have also travelled should kindly share. I will appreciate your advice too

I just opened the hospital website all you asked is just in front of you. There is even a phone number for international patients same for all hospitals websites there is usually a place to look for dr so go back to the site and search for it to get what you want.

Wheel chair would draw attention to u if u can’t manage then use it
Don’t know the advice exactly u need on this as it’s u that know how it hurts
No one would ask you not to use at the airport

Like everyone else who uses a wheel chair will call people attention to it .

Either way, your safety and comfort should be your priority first and you need not to worry about getting other people attention on you.

Since Frankfurt is your layover...hmmm, the airport is very massive in size.

It is very possible that the gate you'll be landing at before you get to the gate for your next connecting flight is will be very, very far.

Please please book a wheelchair. You are still going to declare your intention to give birth (I hope). I say this because I have been having a bit of pelvic pain as well and yours sounds worse. Your comfort and health should be number one priority. Frankfurt airport is hugeeee. Wait time at POE can be Long.

All the best and I pray the pain gets better.

Hey mama! What about those that have just a letter of non-indebtedness from the hospital... In addition to the zero balance bill. Will that suffice? Because I wasn't given an itemised bill myself.

Waiting to read how yours went. Can others that have attended interviews recently also please share their transcripts... I will be attending in a few weeks.

Your health should be First priority and so I suggest you use a wheelchair.
You would draw attention obviously but that's normal.

We ordered a wheel chair for Air France from Abuja airport at 33 weeks even though we didnt have the pain you complain about.

Tried to get boarding pass online but they only checked us in and said to present the check-in document at the counter. At counter air france ticketer (Naija)asked why we ordered wheel chair and we told him it was for convenience should there be a long queue on transit stops. He asked for doctors approval to fly doc and we showed him. We were.asked to go to port bealth and it was a checked ok and we moved on.

After that, from Abuja to US, nobody even worried about us. Naija didn't even provide wheel chair. It was when we landed ATL that wheel chair was ready for us. That wheel chair was why we didn't miss our connecting flight that day as it seemed the whole world landed at ATL at the same time and we were given prioroty.

Don't know.about your case but you need to live first before any other aspiration.

All the best as you decide

Thanks, @ ninab, beautyyaddy, jamajoyfulmother and gilgil for taking time to advice.

I will definitely declare childbirth at POE.

Its just that KLM does not request for fit to fly and i dont plan to provide one since its on their website and i have also done my research from this forum.

Its just that the wheelchair my make them start asking questions but based on all the advice i have gotten here, I will use the wheel chair and convince them at the airport that am fit to fly.

Thanks everyone.

I pray POE will be breezee.

Goodday everyone.... Thanks for all the updates on travel documents, POE experiences, interviews etc.....

However, I was told that the DS-160 barcode number in our profile must match with the barcode number on our DS-160 documents.

Please, my question here is, how do I get to my profile to know if it matches with my DS-160 document..... ?

Please, kindly enlighten me, a link to the profile will also be helpful. Thanks.

You are very right for that. Things have changed since 2013. In today’s Trump America, using birth center is a recipe for “autopilot “ visa denial. Just my opinion.
