And Nigeria is part of Europe or North America? If any of your relatives committed suicide then and you were blaming NSE, blame no more, look towards your village people.

E don do Ooooh. You are reciting my life, 10 - 12 years ago, in brief. The only difference is that I survived and came out stronger.

BTW, I didn't hear of many that died as a result of NSE though. HBP, YES, death and suicide, I doubt.

I know of a neighbour that died. He kept on singing the name of the banks he bought shares with due to the shock of his loss and that led to insanity.

Many of us here including me paid millions of naira as a expensive school fees during the 2008 global economic meltdown, some paid with their life, may their soul rest in peace. Many sold their commercial houses and other properties to buy stocks during that period, what worsened the situation was the use of analog stockbrokers.

One has to fill hard copy sell mandate form to sell his/her share, only to return the next day without the mandate been executed, most of the stockbrokers will not even submit the mandate form, they mostly concentrated on their own, to sell theirs first because no body was interested in buying.

I remembered the way I used to visit Standard Union Security Limited stockbroker at Sani Abacha way Kano, when I was in Kano, then every morning as soon as they open for the day business, I will drove to their office to received a positive news of execution of my mandate, but the reverse will be the case, I thank God for the development of modern day real time online trading platform.

After 2008 economic meltdown a lot of stock participants started seeing stock as one dealing with snake. I remembered the motor of one my stockbroker, by name CSL stokebroker; "Never invest what you can't afford to lose" my question still remain, who invested to lose or want to lose?

My good sister in the lord (SITL) Yayira, 2018 NSE school fee was little to compared with that of 2008, also with the real time online trade platform, one don't need to wait for stockbrokers to submit your order, the moment you feel that something is going wrong, the needful will be the next line of action.

For now, to invest and monitor the market is sine qua non in the NSEM, listening to members advice, especially those that devoted their time to study the market and its environment is another sine qua non in NSEM, it is inconsequential to run away due to high school fees, but to use the knowledge gain to make a good success.

In a nutshell, I love your courage.

I still maintained that, Bull started this year 2018, and Bear will end it, Bear will start year 2019, and Bull will end it.
Let's not forget that January/ February will be the bonanza period , I have long been announcing, good luck to all.grin grin grin

Which of the GSK ? America or Nigeria ? If it’s Nigeria, this stock is trading above it’s fair value (so said one expert here ) judging by their latest result.. they declared loss I think..

Anyway Sir, there’re so many stew on NSE and GSK no follow to me oo.. plus they might not pay any 7 naira special dividend next year oo If that’s why you are looking their way..

Bro, you are very correct, the experience of 2008 almost made me to quit NSE but i told myself that i will fight like a trojan and make my lost millions back which by God grace, i have done with very very minor hair cut. I saw it coming and i immideiately bailed out into TBils and i never regretted i did. so 2008 period has taught me a great lesson which i will pass on to my children.

I believe u're a newbie. I also feel u lack basic understanding on the criteria's to look out for that would guide your selection on stocks to invest.

The stock market is a very dangerous place to invest ur hard earned money especially if u don't know how it works cos u may end up losing everything.

But if you take your time to study books about the stock market, acquire enough knowledge and allow this knowledge to guide you, you are sure to succeed as you gain experience. I have been in the stock market for close to a decade yet I'm still learning.

For a start, i will recommend this book for you: "How to make money in stock" by William J O'Neil. It happens to be one of my favorite books on stock market. Simple and easy to understand yet very effective.

Search it on Google and its free to download. I wish you the best.

You read that a woman's womb is rotting and you want to rush and marry her for the purpose of bearing children for you?

Be very scared and extremely careful of AN ADULT that is growing into A CHILD! grin

NEVER buy a stock on NSE with a mindset that it will be turned around. Most end up been turned over...

If you are hungry and want to eat food, will you go to a restaurant where food is ready or will you give out your feeding money to a farmer and wait to eat after his harvest?

Buy only stocks of companies with improving results quarter after quarter and year after year as a biginner.

You mean that foreign investors that has withdrawn over ₦400 Billion from the market will rush back now because oil is trading above 80 dollars per barrel? We need to first understand what really chased them away and then prepare for their return. Other than 10% - 20%cycles, I don't expect much from the market for now. I may be wrong though.

It's OhOk!

Godlylifeoneart:
election bear is just an excuse. what is driving the Foreign invaders away was imminent devaluation of Naira, proposed removal of fuel subsidy for the sole purpose of funding education and health, the planned increment in power tariff,
The proposed deregulation of forex
These are the reasons Mr. Bear persists.
The invader are happy getting the $ at dz present exchange rate, Dump the portfolio get the $ and wait till after selection... Sorry election.
FYI.... This is the reason our foreign reserve( keep going down daily as a result of high demands by foreign Invaders. QED

Please what about FBNH?

FBN
Trend
- prices are still below d long, med and short MA's so we are in their play grd we hv to respect the trend lollx

Daily
- d daily is more encouraging than the weekly
- daily chart shows +ve RSI divergence wh indicates possible bearish slow down
- a daily closure above 7.55 will further confirm this area as a short term support level
- wat we ''sense'' lol

Weekly
- hw'ever d wkly chart suggest further downside risk possibilities esp with a lower wkly closure
- although d wkly candle formed a DOJI indicating mkt indecision, another wkly closure below 7.45 will confirm it's still a sellers mkt
- wkly macd: below zero line , no buy sig , still bearish

Dis
- im probing here also for jijo oh lollx .. nothing convincing yet (i respect weekly over daily but my attention is drawn here)
- i'm watching for opening price action , any opening abv prev wkly is encouraging to probe further
- also watching price action ard N7.35 wh was d lowest daily close last wk
- and ard N7.45 wh was last week close
- any closure below both but above N7.05 lowest traded price dis yr is nt a good sign at all for me oh
- also like the vol so far wt over 150m traded in 7 days vs 158m traded last month
- but a break below 7.05 is cleary caveat emptor

loll
rate reserve erosion just enter new gear , not looking good wit d all cost approach to ''stable'' rate

but asper flour mill:
- one lesson i learnt during trading breakouts is wen wkly RSI breaks into overbought level, its a sweet spot where price tends to make new highs and can remain overbought much longer than one would expect
- d other leg is wen d same wkly RSI breaks into oversold level lolll , it's vice versa and also a sweet spot for shorts lollx
- all na possibilities , we watch and see
