This is how Diamond bank will hit 0.50k Nigerian managers are very wicked. This continues as a lesson for all in NSE...nothing like long term.

looking at it's historic, N1.00 seems like a support level but their Q2 result was very awful and might get worse by Q3.

If I see 70k, I might try my luck. Presently, there are far better stocks on the exchange than Honey Flour.

After 77k, na Polaris go get the bank!

Thanks for the correction Prof. But you know that price of wheat (one of the key elements) might improve and that might show on their PAT.

They have been listed here severally. Go through CP, Agba, etc posts. If you are ready to buy stocks today, would you leave Access, UBA or Zenith and go for Honey Flour shares?

They ALWAYS find a way of bringing up reasons why the turnover never turned the bottom line....

YES there are CLEAR RED FLAGS in DIAMOND BANK !!
Let me try and summarize a few;
-As at H1, Net profit fell by a whooping 56% from approx 5.61B to 2.45B, and would've been more, but for the slide in their tax expense. PBT actually droped by near 70% from 9.52B to 2.92B, while a gap up in discontinued operations helped push down PAT by over 77% from 8.02B to approx 1.8B
-Drop in net Interest Income with a ballooning increase in their expense line (near 27% increament as at H1)
Infact, there was a drop in virtually all core income lines but with a corresponding increase in all cost and expense line !!
Suffice to say that on a TTM, key indices like Operating margin, Net margin, EPS, ROE, ROA and FCF are all printing in the negative. ...this is NOT a good sign !!

That said, I however like the fact that a key measure of SOLVENCY like D/E, and that of VALUATION like P/BV still shows that the company is NOT likely to be 'another sky' and that there is still a good FOUNDATION to improve on. ...If only the management of DIAMOND can be open, purposeful and efficient.

My line of action?
If I were in DIAMOND, I would've exited long before now.
I recall I once advised folks to immediately sell off their holding in the coy when I stated here that STERLING BANK will likely displace DIAMOND from among the 3 musketeers.
My advise?
Pls kindly follow ur instinct.

NOTE: Due diligence should ALWAYS be ur 1st priority.

People should've hastened to the voice of reasoning to sell off their holdings in DIAMOND following the many red flags as highlighted with past analysis of the coy here. ...particularly the one above and many others preceding it.
Some of these red flags were there even when the coy was trading for above N2.

My heart goes out to any who might still be trapped in with losses there.
...hopefully, devine will help u recoup ur losses via other coys or investment channels.

That one na Initial Gra Gra (IGG). A friend of mine rushed in yesterday (after convincing himself that the people buying are not stupid). He quietly alighted from the bus this morning. Na so e go dey happen for a while now.

And MSCI sold their Seplat shares earlier this year to load more of Diamond Bank. On top their billions, they no even get insider gist. I sorry for them. They will run from Nigeria same way Tiger Brands did.

It's a way of asking you to go do DD. If you compare the financials of those listed banks and that of Honey Flour, would you still pick Honey Flour mills? Unless you have insider information that they are coming out with a superb Q3 result.
