Got into El Paso earlier today.

POE was Atlanta. CBP Officer asked me what I came in for and I said childbirth. He then asked me the process, I told him, find a hospital, get a doctor and be sure you can pay your bill. Asked how much I had and I told him including the fact that I had prepaid part of my bills. He said he won’t be able to check my document because of the long queue and sent me off to secondary inspection. Got there and the new officer checked the doctor and hospital documents (note I’m using Doctoresparati) stamped me in and told me to pay my bills.

This is my second missionary journey via Elpaso but no receipt was asked for my first child.

If you are in ElPaso or InnTown Suites, holla at your girl grin

You are very right for that. Things have changed since 2013. In today’s Trump America, using birth center is a recipe for “autopilot “ visa denial. Just my opinion.

Pls ma/or sir i plan using st Francis medical center;pls are we saying thats a reg flag also....pls i need reply .thanks

Sorry about that.
Ruthina000:
Hi Madriel, I have answered your question , others have also done same. You can make your decision. I never knew answering questions here could make someone insult one unjustly. Really, I don't understand. I feel everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, you don't need to insult anyone.
You can imagine sparkle1515 calling someone clueless....... I mean, as it gotten to that?
Anyway, I hope you've made your findings....

Thank you.
KennyMKO:

Good evening, just like Ruthina000 tried to point out there is really nothing bad in trying birth center. They try to simulate a normal home environment and all, and people have successfully used them for birthing. They also have experienced midwives, ultrasound scanning machines and other tools for ante natal purposes. The downside is that they are not as sophisticated and equipped as a hospital. Which means in case of any complications during birthing, you will have to be rushed to the nearest hospital which they usually have agreements with. Talking from experience actually, used the center in 2013. And they are not all that cheap either. Paid $4100 in 2013 and that amount could have easily been used at WHMC. It's all about options weighing. Another downside is refusal because of birth center. So Madriel please weigh your options well before making decision.
I apologize to Ruthina000 on behalf of Sparkle. Let's not castigate one another for giving one's opinion please. No one knows it all. And people learn from the diverse opinions and suggestions. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Just to share about my experience recently as I am meant to go for 221G interview soon in trying to make sure I have al my receipts ready, I discovered I didn't have itemized bill for both pediatrician and anaestologist even though i had paid my bills in full.
I called them and only for me to discover that in 2016 when I got a discount of 25% and I paid the bill right there and then that the person did not write off the discount but left it and so it was showing like as if I was owing. So they sent my name to collections embarassed. It took close to an hour on the phone with them to get it sorted out and they emailing my itemized bill to me. This is for those that use sheridan

You might want to ask the hospital for a letter stating your name was sent to collections in error. Just to clear yourself. I had a similar experience in 2016, though not the same hospital and my name wasn't sent to collections. It was brown and associates. I was sent a duplicate bill after I had left the US. But I was able to sort it out on the phone. And I made them send a mail saying my bill was duplicated and I wasn't owing.

Hello everyone. I think the VO's don't want to be giving out Visas to expecting mom especially first time travelers even with strong ties here. I was denied yesterday, in fact 99% of the people that that came yesterday was issued blue papers without looking at documents. I saw people with travel experience that were denied and yes they hardly look at documents, it's just one old woman that was issued white paper.

I thought my case would be different as most people were for Visiting Visa, but NO, the officer only asked why I want to go to the US, where I'm going, where I work and what hubby does for a living which I answered. That was just what he asked then gave me the blue paper.
Same as another preggy lady too, and that they don't look at documents is alarming coz it seem they've decided not to grant Visas yesterday.

A lady made a scene and was cursing the female VO that denied her, saying she chose not to give her Visa as she didn't even look at her documents. Moving on as I trust God's plan for my little one.

APPLICATION RECEIVED: In essence, they haven't touched your file "proper", relax all the same, except for the "needing my passport out for something urgent" part.

Begin to worry some bit if status changes to "Administrative Processing" and doesn't change to "Issued" in 2-3 workdays thereafter.... All the best!

Good Day House! Please anyone used HNWMC lately and paid the Miracle Package fee without any hidden fee afterwards? A friend paid for the package and wanted to do a CS but she was told to do a normal delivery. She ended up labouring for 17hours and they eventually did the CS and now the hospital says she isn't entitled to the package as she had complications bla bla bla and charged her normal rate . Bill running up to $12,0000. That is apart from doctors and peadiatrician and so on. Has anyone truly paid this discounted amount and not had this issue in the last few months.
