The genotype thing isn't something hard to know
you don't need to see a doctor before you know the possible child genotype to expect if you try to have a baby with someone of a different genotype
you just need to cross your genotype with the person's own and you'll get your answer within seconds

i thought d post said all d genotypes. d once listed are just d common ones,let me share d little i knw abt genotypes, sum genotype are more common in some races/tribes than others for example the genotype AS and SS are more common among Africans, African-americans and some indians than most other people in d world. d genotype with C are mostly found in West Africa mostly d Yoruba tribes having the highest. in dis part of d world d most common are d hemoglobin (hb) A and S don't 4get there are more in d other parts of the world.

She's correct but it's not always in that order. So AS+AS can't say they'll still get married but have just 3 kids.

About two cases I know in Nigeria whereby both parents of AS gave birth to 4children with AA. This call for a research to know why but the technogical and financial needs are limiting it.
I think government need to come in.

The risk is 1 out of 4. It doesn't necessarily follow the pattern. Simple put: 25% chance of having AA or SS and 50% chance of AS in a birth.

very possible. Explanation; Evolution. It's nature's way of combating Malaria. That's the reason you can never see any white person with any genotype apart from AA.
I would have explained in details, but I'm not in the mood to type.

but the probability of giving birth to 2 ASs is very rare , I suspect foul play. Go for a DNA.

The C is not rare o. I've see a lot of people with AC and one SC.

There's a very slim chance that a new mutation can occur in an egg or sperm cell - or in a very early stage embryo - that changes a specific genotype like this.

The mutation wouldn't be present in the mother or father, but it would be present in a child that's conceived using the mutated egg or sperm cell, or in any embryo where the mutation occurs after conception.

This is called a de novo mutation. It's hard to pin down the overall rate of de novo mutation, but we do know that it's more likely to occur when the parents are older at the time of the child's conception.
