N5.50 Price Level Could be Critical For Dangote Flour

Most stocks on NSE has been battered so much that they have shielded more than 80% of the gains made since 2017 rally. DF is not an exception. The stock price has tested the support at around 5.45 for the past 3 weeks indicating this is likely to be a level where Smart monies are ready to defend the stock. What makes this a strong signal is that the SP is now within 78.6% fib levels of 2017 low and all time low in 2016.

The highlighted price range could as well be a medium to long term investment except something drastic changes in the company or in Nigeria socio-policial environment.

Happy weekend!

Some persons don pay school fees ten times until you get good tutor like agba por oracle and follow instructions.
Else, you go just continue to pay school fees to NSE.

Wisdom is the principal thing, get wisdom.

True elder Ojo. Experience too is a great teacher but if someone is lucky to come across thread like this earlier and follow advice, the school fees to be paid will be minimal.

To be successful in stock trading cum investing, 1 important thing to follow is the index. Be it the general market (NSE) or individual sector (such as banking index, conglomerate index, oil/gas index etc) and look for the individual stock(s) that ready to bring out the BULLs out of the market (BULLBEARMKT).

Like the banking sector now, while the index is declining, 2 major stocks stands out - IBTC & STERLNB. I AM NOT SAYING TO BUY NOW (and actually, a little dip is good to buy). But what I'm trying to educate people about is that when the index begins to rally, these 2 banks will be leaders & outperform the market

In as much as we all want there to be a Bonanza, I think what most are doing now is timing the market. Find a technique to calculate the intrinsic value of this companies, and invest within a margin of safety in small lumps or set trade orders downwards or upwards in small lump ranges depending on the intrinsic value. So that you don't keep hoping on a Bonanza and then a bull market comes and you become emotional and buy at higher prices and everything comes crashing down again.
I can't overemphasize the use of a very liquid money market fund enough.

It's also sad Nigeria is a country that depends too much on hope. That's why we are too religious (topic for another day and thread) and our NSE doesn't have a leverage shorting system. I would have shorted Diamond Bank and Skye bank to oblivion.

MSCI NIGERIA’S PORTFOLI HAS BEEN STATIC SINCE 2 OCTOBER 2018- COMPARE NAIRALAND POSTIING WITH THE CURRENT POSTION FROM MORNING STAR TO CONFIRM. X RAY ON FUNDS/INSTITUTIONAL HOLDING FOR FCMB AND DIAMOND

Monitoring what the big funds are doing is providing me some information to know how market is likely to behave to ensure I do not fall into a big hole. Although getting this information may sometimes be difficult with some websites providing conflicting information. Sticking to a good website like morning star, market screeners or the website of the particular shareholder may be more helpful.

Why is this coming up? I want to see what is happening to Diamond and some other shares I am commenting on. To my surprise, there seems no information from the website I trust so much on Diamond Bank, I am sorry for mentioning the websites but the authenticity of my information is more important to me (I prefer websites like Bloomberg, marketscreener, etfb, morning star etc. where there is conflict I will chose Morningstar/Bloomberg over the others).

Putting one plus one together I can see that some Institutions have exited FCMB, likely for the political situation in Nigeria and now some shares seems to be warehoused with Link Market Services before other buyers pick them up. There seems to be no cause for alarm here, just normal business transaction (add information on shareholders from marketscreener.com to that of morning star.com).

For Diamond, I am not sure what the foreign funds are doing, especially Carlyle? This is a food for thought!!! The oracles have spoken; it is now left for the chicken to hear the warning or to ignore it.

For today expected High is 32,187.88 low at 31,891.56

Thank God for another week, I have set my trap again to buy my balance of Nacho at a very low price just like the other players in the field (trust me, I have to pause this write-up and place my order).

In view of the fact that some additional information on our postings will now be added, you can check our twitter handle “Target Technical Analysis”.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).
N:B

1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.

What if we assume that this has to do with lower volatility of both IBTC and Sterlin? In this case could it also be that when the bulls resume, they may lag behind the others?

Ironically, none of these household can survive without the other, because you cannot produce every your needs all by yourself. Hence, the interdependent relationship as designed by nature.

...good question @Agba. When I plotted volatility indicator (ADX) on both stocks, it shows that it's less than 20 which may backup your claim of lower volatility. But Sterln Bank does 3m volume daily with minimum volume in excess of 500k! This to me is an indication of "elite or exclusive" stock unlike the more popular ones. Same goes for IBTC.

If you look at the second chart posted in the above post you can see that the 2 stocks behalf similar to the index until August when Sterln Bank deviated from the falling index and IBTC follows mid September. Do we say, low volatility caused the deviation. No! I think there is something fundamentally has changed the perception of investors in this regard.

On the possibility of the bolded question, I don't think this is correct! Technically, history has shown that any stock that perform well in a "bear" market 90% of the time outperform the market during the bull period (and that is exactly my message in the post). You might want to research this by yourself.

I remember posting something on IBTC when I saw the same behaviour & just immediately after, the stock rallied to above 40
