1. Appointment letter
2. Ds-160 confirmation page
3. Visa fee receipt (GTB)
4. Original I-20
5. SEVIS I-901 payment confirmation
6. International passport
7. Birth certificate
8. (1) 2X2 passport
9. Diploma or degree Cert.
10. Standardized test scores (if applicable)
11. Admission letter.

People at the gate will hassle you to patronize them for one thing or another, I'd advise you not to...if you have all this just walk confidently into the embassy don't let them plant any fear inside of you. Don't go with your phones, drop them at the hotel or someplace. They'll charge you heavily to keep it with them and since you won't be spending all day at the embassy; you can do without your phone.

Goodluck!
I didn't get any appointment letter apart from the ds160 confirmation page.

please I was also denied Visa last week though I can't really decipher where I got it all wrong cos the consular officer made a reference to the school fees which was about $21k as well as asked if I had siblings though I confused that for do I have siblings in the US and I answered No

Why are the VOs suddenly about the tuition? There shouldn't be a problem if the student can afford it

Deferring to fall would be very convenient for you, you can book your visa date early and prepare well. For now, it has been alleged that consular do not appreciate it when your interview date is too close to your resumption date and even if you get an expedited appointment at this stage it'll still be very close to spring start date. Its still your decision to make and I'll stick with what the academic evaluator advised you. Like every successful applicant say "preparation is key"
I had my first interview on the 13th of November and I was denied but now I am thinking of reapplying cos my school resumption is in January, should I go ahead? please help

Why did you think you were denied? If the reason is something you feel is negligible when you're reinterviewed then you can, you're not applying for the first time. You were previously denied.

You can post your previous transcript and proposed transcripts and let the experienced help you.

Kind regards

He/she could write standardized tests to boost his profile. Its a proven fact that admission decisions and funding goes beyond undergraduate transcripts alone. A good statement of purpose(Sop), Letters of recommendation(lor) and tests scores could do the magic. For schools, read through the thread you should be able to list a few.

All the best

Sorry about the refusal. But let me quickly observe that you were not ready. You were denied because you couldn't defend your choice of Lincoln University and your Sonography program. It appears to me these selections were handed down to you and not a product of an intense research. You can prove me wrong by working on those two key areas.

You were not denied because Lincoln University is a wrong destination (flagged), as some may want to posit. You were not denied because Lincoln is too cheap or expensive as mooted when they mentioned "spending so much". That question was for emphasis and if you were prepared, you could have rescued the situation at that point. You were refused because you failed the first test on proving "you're a genuine student." There was no point testing if you're financially capable or have sinister immigration intents.

Way Forward: Don't book in a hurry. Do some personal researches about your school and course. Read particularly one or two interview transcript compilations, then you'd be ready to give it another try.

Sorry about your denial. But you kinda shot yourself in the foot. Your answer to why sonography is not substancial enough, Infact the reply you gave is the same as not answering the question at all.
I don’t think it has anything to do with having siblings or not. Your replies let you down. Sorry!

If this is the program you are going for...Associate of Science (AS) in Diagnostic Imaging Degree Program or Sonography at Lincoln University

Then this will raise a flag with any VO. Firstly this is not a master program or a full degree program and if an associate degree then yes it cheaper to have done this at a community college. Why would you pay university fees for an associate degree .

I don’t think you prepared well enough, if you practiced enough, you practiced with wrong answers.
A few things i noticed
Why Lincoln....you said they admit without prejudice....every approves school in the US is suppose to admit without prejudice, that answer is not specific enough for Lincoln. Next time search deep down and find specific reasons why u chose a university over any other, don’t give generic answers.
Why Sonography? The interview is about you not Nigeria. Do you have any fact to back that it is align to Nigeria? The VO gave you a chance to redeem yourself and asked what is sonography, you still couldn’t give a good answer
The VO went on to ask you a kind question about spending so much at Lincoln when you could get same program from a community college, you still couldn’t give a good, specific answer. I think it ended at this point for you....I believe this VO was gave you a long rope. Next time prepare with specific answers, try not to generalize or assume, reasearch and be sure of what you’re talking about. It helps your confidence as well

Hello house, my interview was last week Wednesday and was denied. Is it advisable to reapply immediately?. I was asked few questions like who’s my sponsor, I answered him that it’s my aunty, he asked me her occupation and I replied him that she’s an accountant , I was also asked why I choose the school I want to go, I guess my reason wasn’t eligible enough. he later asked if I was married and I replied No and that was when he brought out the blue paper. (Is it advisable to reapply because I plan to reapply tomorrow or next)

Well first step .... I don't think applying for an associate degree in a university is wise choice. Why dont you apply to a master degree program

Or maybe some other VO might think this ok. It hard to predict but if you go again. Your response need to he stronger

thanks for your input.. the reason why i do not want to disclose that i am married is because my husband is a green card holder and if i put his name and date of birth in the form, they will know he is over there and it may become a red flag.. at this junction i am very confused as to what to do about this.. i know being married with kids is a good home tie. but i dont want to shoot myself in the leg.

Since your husband is a legal permanent resident, wouldnt it be easier for him to file for you (or file when he becomes a US citizen since it's faster). But why the rush through the F1 route?
