Both applicants are matured students pursuing MBA and PGD;infact the PGD applicant was called for medicals on the 5th of November and medical was updated as passed....only to get the shocker refusal.

Both applicants are single, aged 33 and 34yrs gainfully employed with an average of 6years work experience and personal finances in excess of 10million.


They are both planning to reapply with well strutured SOP'S to explain even the most irrelevant detail........the demand for Canada visa is high these days and the VO's aint smiling

I explained why I didn't go to western Europe for the course as the focus in Europe is always on Engineering management as against Industrial Engineering part while the course isn't available at post graduate level in Australia.
If not for the money involved, I think I should opt for Judicial Review.

Refusal after Medical passed. I am thinking its upfront medicals tho, cos I cant imagine them requesting for Medicals and later refusing the application. So it should be upfront medicals.

It starts to become a big barrier once you have over 5 years gap where you didn't attend school. You need a strong SOP to justify to the VO why it should be believed you really have the interest of going to school after such a long gap and not merely using study route as a way of facilitating entry to Canada.

this is correct...because from his application everything seems right. The gap needs to be covered especially using any form studying activities while working, perhaps some short courses,certifications etc

With CIC , funnythings happens these days, we dont know whether the medical call was an error or the refusal letter was the error. He was even asked to provide updated letter of acceptance.

The applicant filled the webform complaining of being called for medical and refused afterwards; he received a response that a decision has been made on his application, and he is welcome to reapply if he can addres the stated reason for his refusal.

PGD Applicant applied July 12,while the MBA applicant applied june 20.both received final decision on november 16.

I have requested for me GSMS last week Friday.

Available Fund: $41,000CAD
Tuition: $26,000CAD

This part was one of the part that didn’t make any sense in my application.

My sponsorship letter said I was going to be supported with $10,000 and Tuition. That is $36,000CAD. I put $41K there because I was going to be able to raise $5K to sum it up.

Sorry for the refusal, I definately know how it feels when one gets delayed especially after waiting for so long. However, in order not to remain in the realm of speculation on why the VO ticked "purpose of visit" as his refusal reason, I suggest you waste no time in ordering your GCMS note. 30days is a long time to wait, so let it start counting!

I submitted my application on the 20th of October at the Silverbird Galleria, Abuja. Then i received a mail on Biometric Validity 2days ago, I am yet to receive instruction to go for medical. Is it advisable to go for Upfront Medical or should I wait for the mail from Embassy?

I am a May online applicant. My case is so confusing, no one has shared similar experience. I passed medicals. Also got email in response to enquiries that I passed eligibility. I got PPR and have submitted my passport in Lagos since September 19th and still waiting. Only response since submitting passport was an email asking me to update my bank statement which was done since October 8th. And last week I got another email saying my file is now in London. What should I do? Withdraw my application? I have US, UK and SA visas on the passport and my movement for other purposes is now restricted by Canada because of study permit. Passport detained for 2 months!!!

No, the event has passed. Nov 9th till 11th..

I submitted online application July 22nd and when it is Aug 7th I got a call from my bank telling me Canada immigration contacted the bank regarding my statement of account and bank told me they have proof it to them the statement of account is real. I was thinking they wil process my application fast because the consular contacted my bank already and got a positive response from stanbic. So I don't know if the application is still going to be successful or not

Bro this is serious. My own passport was held for 5 weeks after submitting at the embassy.

Please I hope you have started firing serious prayers? Every power holding my visa die by fire, every failure at the edge of breakthrough die by fire (P.S I am not an MFM member but a closed mouth is a closed destiny) Tell immediate family members to start praying and fasting on your behalf no jokes (I prayed my heart out).

Some people may say it is nothing to worry about but take no chances.

By the way, why would you consider withdrawing your application after getting PPR
And submitting passport? My Brother worry does not solve anything but prayers. Pack your bag and go and spend 1 week in any prayer house praying and fasting.
