Its just time.

Funny and sad how you want someone to explain it all for you. Apparently the person doesn't have anything doing other than to stay here and spoonfeed you.

Do yourself a whole lot of good and read page one which is a summarised version and after that read some more.

This journey is supposed to be DYI and if you can't, then you may as well pay for proper representation.

All the best

I applied for Canada PR with my family as non accompanying members. However my application is with Accra VO, I want to change the status of my family members to accompanying. How do I go about this.
How do I contact the VO to effect this change.
Please I need solution.

If you worked in Canada, you pick canada experience. If not, go to the next and pick foreign experience

ekanDamie:

Thanks baba.

1last. If I don't have Canadian experience can I still select my Nigerian experience years? Like it is in this pics?

Guys good morning... I'm sorry to have announced my PPR in a low key...

ITA - June 25, 2018
AOR - July 13, 2018
MEP /IP1 - August 2, 2018
IP2 - November 5, 2018H
PPR - November 20,2018
Visa Office : Ottawa.

1. Thanks to everyone on this thread. Joined in 2016 after so many years of trying to get scholarships to study abroad.

2. I started reading people's experiences on this thread and that was what prompted me to try. I enrolled for ielts and wrote on Dec 2nd, 2017. My score was LRWS- 9, 7.5, 7.5, 7. I prepared hard from January till I wrote in Dec, even though some months were quite tight because I was running a masters program in Uyo.

3. I decided to evaluate my transcript for B. tech From Lautech after waiting for months for my "never ending" masters thesis to be vetted. Lautech too had its own issues being on strike for over 18 months, so the moment they called off that strike in january, I paid Wes and sent my transcript. The process was very easy for me and I have also helped a few people here get theirs. The evaluation was ready early March.

4. My crs score with just the B.Tech wasn't still enough, my birthday was approaching in April and the masters program was still unsure cos nasu was now on strike. Luckily, Nasu called off the strike in March and I ran to Uyo to pick up my vetted thesis. I quickly corrected it and submitted hard bound copies for senate to sit. My masters degree was awarded the 2 days later. So I quickly paid Wes again and sent my transcript for evaluation in April. The evaluation was ready in June, so my crs shoot up from 435 to 470. I also didn't have continuous work experience from one company so I wanted to use just one year which would take my crs to 445. I didn't know what the cut off in the next draw would be so I played safe with the 3 years...

5. On June 25, 2018, there was a draw with 442 cut off, I checked my account and saw my ita had not dropped so I removed the other 2 years and my score dropped to 445. I got ITA a few hours later. N/B. I did an LOE for this o, to explain why I moved my other 2 years work experience to personal history.

6. In April my dad gifted me my 100% pof and we did a gift deed with his lawyer. I went to Lagos from Nsukka to do medicals at Children's practice and police certificate at alagbon. I got the other documents like bank statement, employment letter, confirmation letter, reference letter and I had loads of documents I uploaded, I even had to prove my relationship with my uncle who lives in Canada, I did this with pictures cos there was no Birth certificate to use. I had loe for every place holder. On July 13th I submitted and the wait began till yesterday. While waiting, I messaged MP Ralph in October and was informed that my VO was Ottawa, this gave me hope.

7. If the old people on this thread remember, I once asked questions about adding my fiancé who works in the Navy. After a lot of research we decided to go on with the addition instead of sponsoring later. So we began the marriage process in October and I'm planning to add him after our marriage on Monday. We will do this trusting God to fix the rest for us. We also hope to become a guide for others who would want to add military spouse or vice versa in the future.

8. If there is a link to guide us with adding spouse post PPR pls alert me.

9. Thanks to Mcstan for being a brother and a friend... He has been so helpful to me and my fiancé. Thanks to everyone who in one way or the other answered my continuous questions. Thanks to fizzle for adding me to his "family", I'm glad I benefitted from that family. May God bless you all and grant your heart desires soonest in Jesus name. Amen.

10. My advice to everyone is, keep on trying, if ielts is the challenge keep on pushing and the result will be worth the stress. If evaluation is the challenge, keep pushing and soon it will all work out... If POF is the challenge, keep asking for help and trust me at the right time that help will come through... I feel like the luckiest person here cos this time last year, I didn't even know my fate with my ielts, pof, application fees or completion of my masters program... I almost gave up both thank God I pushed through and graduated.

Is there any one in the house that can give me cost of verification at LASU? I want the school to verify my credentials and how long will it take for verification.

Congrats again @Amakyzuu read up on @Threadstone's posts. He added his wife after receiving COPR
For now, you might want to hold off on sending your passport to Accra.
Ordinarily you would raise a CSE to add your spouse, but they take their time to respond to CSEs and you need to have a response before the 15 days for passport submission are up.
It is my opinion that you write an urgent mail to Ottawa immediately after the wedding on Monday and then do the CSE
I'm the meantime, gather your documents ready to prove relationship and he should do his Medicals and PCC(s)

Actually bro, Time is one thing on earth where all fingers are equal.
Please don't take it the wrong way when you are encouraged to read. There is a lot of bad advice floating around over this EE process. Many have made terrible mistakes because they were ignorant of the process and listened to ignorant advisers.
It's not something to rush, just take your time, read and understand, then take the plunge

Even if @bolded no challenge me, Nigeria don already challenge me.lol
I will try read up as much as I can. I understand how difficult it is for old timers to be explaining same thing again. Its just that for us newbies, theres so much info and just the few times I did try read it's like u guys came from another planet. I was just lost anyhow.
But I will try reading carefully.
As I evaluated on my CRS tool I just need to (8777) on IELTS to get a possible 460 . another challenge but I will start practicing.

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years), diploma (three years), postgraduate certificate (one
year) and bachelor's degree (four years)

Above is my wife's evaluation report. She evaluated her OND , HND and Bsc.

My question is where did the postgraduate certificate come from.
Can she claim Msc with the postgraduate certificate?

Yhemmy2:
Hello All,
Pls I need urgent input on below matter;
If you are processing Express Entry. Is there still need to go birth in the US?
Reason for my question is;
I am currently preggy. My hubby & I are processing Canada PR. Currently awaiting our PPR but I’m not sure we will get CoPR before my fit to fly expires. Was thinking of going to the US to birth my baby but hubby thinks there is no economic importance to it and it’s a waste of money & financial resources. His reason is because we (including our baby) will eventually relocate to Canada even if he’s born here(Nigeria).
What do u guys think?
Will I be wasting money birthing our baby in d US even when our Canada App is almost pulling through. Does children not born in CAD/USA have the same benefit as the ones born there?

Pls ignore my errors. I really do hope someone understands my drift n can provide necessary feedback ASAP.

My dear sister,

I understand your point but in this situation, get a good hospital here worse worse and save some money unless your funds are limitless.

Also airlines like BA really go the distance w.r.t time line. I know someone that landed in canada and gave birth within 2-3 weeks, i will help you find out which airline but honestly I dont think it is worth going to the USA again sincerely.

So please go with your hubby's opinion
