I think this is wrong cos it is clearly stated that a minimum of 1 year continuous paid work is a requirement on the CIC website. And a few weeks ago, someone here got PPR with 1yr housemanship

adebee16:
Errrm... Not quite. I used just one year work experience. I'm now post ITA. Minimum is 1 year. I really don't know what happened with your profile. Sorry about that

Thanks guys. Well...village people at work. But God pass dem.

Two or More Certs is wat you'll get if you evaluate with WES but dat wud require you 2 visit WAEC/NECO 2 also send your Cert depending on the one you have.

Pls I am a newbie and need your advice here.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
1. Is this the correct CRS too for calculating point
2.in the pucs below which category does an HND graduate fall?
3. With a score of 440 with no spouse is EE still possible or one should just go through PNP
4. There is a part in the CRS calculator that asks for No of canadian
work experience Can I put my Nigerian Experience since I don't have canny?
Pls I would appreciate any down to earth response from anyone I know the question is beneath your league. Biko

You need faster internet. It's showing incomplete because there's a part that didn't load because of your internet speed.
Try again with better network and you'll see what I'm talking about. It happened to me

Yhemmy2:
Hello All,
Pls I need urgent input on below matter;
If you are processing Express Entry. Is there still need to go birth in the US?
Reason for my question is;
I am currently preggy. My hubby & I are processing Canada PR. Currently awaiting our PPR but I’m not sure we will get CoPR before my fit to fly expires. Was thinking of going to the US to birth my baby but hubby thinks there is no economic importance to it and it’s a waste of money & financial resources. His reason is because we (including our baby) will eventually relocate to Canada even if he’s born here(Nigeria).
What do u guys think?
Will I be wasting money birthing our baby in d US even when our Canada App is almost pulling through. Does children not born in CAD/USA have the same benefit as the ones born there?

Pls ignore my errors. I really do hope someone understands my drift n can provide necessary feedback ASAP.

Hi

I replied you on the "other thread" but I will paste it here for good measure grin

If you are eventually going to Canada, then I do agree with your Husband. Firstly, as you are moving to a new (developed) country, you really do need money to settle down and possibly provide your needs for up to a year (to be on the safe side)... so putting millions of naira down on a "birthing" trip at this time may not be a very good idea.

Secondly, I know that it's great to have triple citizenship, however, you do need to remember that one "disadvantage" of a US citizenship is FATCA... infact, American citizens living abroad are renouncing their citizenship over the "tax" burden of being American... see this and this...

However, because I am neither an American nor a Canadian, I decided to check if this question has been answered on quora and I found this

The choice lies with you and I sincerely wish you the very very best

Don't discard your four years work biko, if the MD is being a pain, let an ex colleague write the reference for you. Then you can back it up with account statements showing salary lodgements and other work documents.

Good evening all,
Please help a sister...i'm getting confused with this whole process, I'm about to take the ielts in december.
I need guidance on how to go through the process.
I'm 28years old, Bsc in Linguistics from a federal university. I also have 4years work experience.
I'd like to know if it is wise to apply as single and then include my fiance in the process later since we only want one person (me) to take the test. He is 32yrs, a lawyer that has been practicing for 5years.
I will really appreciate if someone takes me through the step by step proceedure.
Thanks!

I want to first of all THANK GOD, for this journey thus far as He has given me and my family many praise endings on this journey!!

It all started late 2016 during my annual leave. The leave afforded me the time to think deeply about my life and future and that of my young family in this country and I concluded I have to move if for nothing but for the sake of my kids.

I started out with the Canadian Study route (whilst I thought [at the time] that the Express Entry route was a long thing and difficult to achieve) God bless friends that I spoke with who encouraged me to give Federal Skilled Workers Class [FWS] a try.
(In retrospect, to imagine that the 3 schools that I applied to rejected my applications...Don't even let me talk about what I have spent hustling that route....God would have been looking at me and be like "yinmu" at me) grin grin

I and wifey wrote our first IELTS with almost similar scores...but we couldn’t use the score to climb into the 440s CRS range)- I got bad advice that I shouldn't waste money re-writing IELTS, that I should just pack into a PNP and coast to nomination for an eventual sure ITA- I did and till tomorrow, I didn’t know what made me take that advice (Don’t even let me talk of how much I have spent [and obviously wasted] on this PNP hustle talk less of bad advice that I recieved to cut some corners that would have marred my Canadian dreams ultimately by now). Thank God I didn’t heed the advice and faced re-taking my IELTS.

In Oct, 2017, I submitted an application to SINP. As at Dec 2017, I hadn’t received provincial nomination, little did I know that I was setting myself up for frustration and delay...unending test of patience for months...(You guys here on FSW can never understand what folks on the PNP route go through just to get the same ITA that we celebrate here on a regular) Here, many are even yet to understand the acronym- MEP- and before you say Jack Robi...., its PPR for them!
Frustration and lack of movement on my PNP application made me resit the IELTS and God did it enough for us to climb to 441!! (I can never forget friends here who advised against procuring an EOR for that IELTS as I had proposed to do so as to have a higher CRS than 441, they said that the score will drop and that I should wait it out…days after their advises, it did drop and I clinched an ITA on May 23, 2018)
I promptly withdrew my SINP application and bid the provincial program farewell for good. They acknowledged my intention to withdraw with a formal letter of withdrawal.
