nanizle: Ghana: Population- 28 million, budget - 5 trillion naira Lagos: Population - 22 million, budget - 1 trillion naira, IGR 400 billion. The money as big as you see it represents under performance, Lagos IGR should be in the region of 3-4 trillion. New York state: Population - 24 million, budget $120 billion, = 43 trillion naira. That means what New York will do in one year, Lagos needs 43 years to gather the same money at current rate. They after all buy from same market, trains, vehicles, equipment etc 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Ovamboland:Lagos is over populated compared to available income and infrastructure. Hence, we can't get there in 10 years. It's gradual. Tinubu did things, Fashola imporved, Ambode did what Fashola couldn't do. Another Governor would continue. By 2027, Lagos would be better than what we have in 2018. 6 Likes |

Just see the IGR of northern states and they are the ones with over 40 local governments per state and inflated populations. What does this tell u? They are living on the south 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Ovamboland: The airport and seaport in rivers state isn't fully functional. They have very limited flight destinations and the seaport is basically for petroleum export while Lagos is receives refined petroleum products. Oga just tell yourself the truth. 1 Like |

High revenue with nothing to show for it in some areas in Lagos. Roads are bad, power supply still poor. Only those on the island are favoured. Roads spoil our vehicles yet we pay heavily on road worthiness. I attended a wedding ceremony somewhere in Ayobo n its as if i was in the village. We looked like time travellers. There is God oooo. 1 Like |

solveprob: You just took those words outta my mouth. Of course tinubu legally steals over 10% of that amount to keep his political machinery functioning. And the governor knowing this, will certainly help himself very significantly to that tune or more. Beyond this, what has been declared is significantly less than the actual figures. If the guys in power in Lagos are kind enough to steal only 10% of the actual amount being generated, Lagos should be in a much more developed state than it is. 2 Likes |

Ovamboland:Fully functional in what way exactly? The thing is, the states are not performing as they should. Over #300b looks big in the eyes of many, but it's really not compared to what Lagos is capable of. Same for Other states as well especially Rivers and Delta. 2 Likes |

Lagos is the INDUSTRIAL CAPITAL of Nigeria. 70% of all major companies in Nigeria (industry & services) are in Lagos & they pay taxes to the state & the federal. The brainwashing is in progress. If the FG goes back to 50% allocation like the 1st republic, dt will be the best for everyone to compete. Then the SS states will have like trillions in IGR, dts when u'll see complete total claiming by igbos. This faraway Lagos own na small thing. 12 Likes |

lilfreezy:you no Sabi anything. read this to clear your mind. Help me ask these ignorant people. Majority of what happens in Apapa are controlled by Federal government. The taxes are federal collected by FIRS. This add little to IGR. These kids needs to know that Apapa is even a disaster for Lagos. The customs, police and other government agencies at the ports are under federal government. The customs duties you pay to clear your goods goes to FG, not LASG. Atiku's Intel is working with NPA. NPA is an agency of Federal Government. Lagos makes no direct income from ports. It's federal government that makes the money and they share to all 36 states. Apapa port case should not be used VAT and company income taxes are collected by FIRS and not Lagos State. Oil company pays taxes to FG, while staff pay taxes to LASG. Lagos makes more money from P A Y É PIT Land Use Charge Hotel and consumption tax. Title documents registration/ perfection in Alausa Sale of land in Government Scheme. Physical Planning approval Surveyor General LASBCA Petrol station taxes Adverts Vehicle license Etc Idiots should stop talking about income from ports or oil revenue. Without federal allocation, Lagos is doing so well. Ask Tinubu How he did it from 2003 to 2007. It's the Governors of other states that are killing their citizens ( 4 Likes |

Now let me ask u...lets say enugu govt decideds to tax shop owners 1200 naira evey month whil ogun govt taxes shop owners 2500 naira every month...do u see why and hw they would have a larger igr? Now am not saying that ogun doesnt have more factories than each SE state individually...but really do u think ogun has more factories than all se states put together? Really? 6 Likes 2 Shares |
