Hello. Pls can you cross check this number if it is the correct one. I have been trying too since all mails haven’t been replying and the number is saying; number does not exist. Could you have missed a number? Thank you

Dedayo:
I also received an email this afternoon saying my passport will be sent to DHL today and should be available for pick-up from tomorrow.
I called 01-4603400

Unless you have legal status (Study Visa, Residence Permit, etc) in those two countries you mentioned, you have no reason to apply from there. You most likely would end up with same blue paper -or whatever colour their own denial paper is.
I think you should work more on your home country ties, get more travel experience before re-applying.

I haven't filled the DS 160 form. My parents will travel to the US when I return in Feb. I will try to go for my interview before they leave, so that I can answer truthfully to their location. I will use my aunt's place as my address because it is quite close to the conference venue. The hotel I wanted to book on Booking.com is 45mins away. I will ask my aunt for a letter, stating that I will be staying with her for the duration of the conference. One last question, I am sponsoring myself. Can I submit a 3month bank statement.
Thank you for your help
What will be the duration of your parents stay in US because if you are yet to secure interview date by now, i doubt you'd get for Feb.

RE: Bank statement:- 3 months is Okay. Chances of them asking for it or looking at it is slim but whatever make sure its not oluwole

Look out for the visa issuance rates by country and you’ll find that visas are issued daily. My friend and cousin applied for us tourist visas in November and both got issued in Abuja and Lagos respectively . Don’t even understand Nigerians and the whole obsession with us visas .

Did you mean to quote me?

I was supposed to go for my interview Nov 27th but seeing the look of things, Omo! Na to reschedule come enter April next year.
I want to believe they have exhausted the number of visas to be granted to Nigerians. The ones left are for those who have genuine reasons to go to US. That their visit is a most or "life and death" like of visits.

My opinion ooooooo.

It depends on how much you wrote as your monthly income. The VO would have thought why blow 4m when you can actually use it here. We need to be very careful with what we put out there

I think as the general election is drawing close, they want Nigerians to remain in the country and perform their civic responsibility hence the massive refusal of visas.

PS: just my opinion tho

Plus the increasing amount of people over staying their visas.

Like I said the VO's are very smart. I'm self employed but I won't spend that amount on vacation. Considering the uncertainty in Nigeria. The answer you gave triggered your refusal. Accept it or not

How could you be certain it was the reason for the denial? Again a transcript isn't the only thing vo take into consideration to grant or denied a visa. Maybe the decision was already made even before the interview .
Only the vo knows for sure why the visa was denied

I'm not 100%sure but I know these guys are smart. They just don't refuse people like that. The information on the forms you fill in every application must be the same. They check it out and ask you questions based on it. Any misrepresentation of facts becomes an issue. I've seen a boss denied visa and his junior got a visa. Keep your facts straight. US embassy still issues visa

Good evening all,

Please I need help here. I have a white woman whom I met online that wants me to come work for her, she said I should get clearance( visiting visa) from US embassy on my own but she will pay for my flight . I asked her for an invitation but she is been skeptical about it cus she does not know me that well. She told me that she made an enquiry n was told that if she should process it for me that she has to vouch for me and that she does not know me that well to vouch for me, that I might come there and run away. Now my questions are:

1) How do I go about the process on my own with a virgin passport?
2) If I eventually get an invitation from her does it guarantee my visa since it is coming from a white ?
3) Is it true that she needs to vouch for me?

Good evening everyone. Please i have an appointment at the US embassy, Lagos in March but i would prefer an earlier appointment. Someone mentioned that i can keep checking to see if i can find an earlier date. I wonder if there is a limit to the number of times i can log in to check for earlier dates.

Not only that, but look at the responses especially those who are encouraging her to stay. Someone even mentioned that how you immigrate to America is that you over stay your visa and then marry American citzen Smh.

The lady wants you to go work for her, then you shouldn't be on this thread. Sounds like you need a work visa but this thread is about visit visa.

Furthermore, she wants to employ you but doesn't want to sponsor your work visa. I would be very careful with such a person. You may find yourself been held against your will and force to have intimacy with people. Many American ladies have found themselves victims of human trafficking right in the United States.

You should always be very careful whenever someone you don't know is asking you to travel to a different country to work for them. Especially when they are ready to pay for your travel but they avoid to have anything to do with your visa.

Lastly, invitation isn't a requirement for a visit visa.
She doesn't need to vouch for you.

No one cares about her race. It is funny how you think that an invitation from a white person is a guarantee to get a visa. How is the embassy going to know the race of the person who is inviting you? Is the person going to specify his race on the invitation? A person can be white but homeless and poor. How is that going to guarantee a visa?
