Can one use a statement of account of 4months?. Also, can a bank statement of 7million agree to sponsor 5.2million naira yearly or it is not compulsory for the sponsor to state the amount he will remit yearly. Thanks |

Determinedsoul:I have seen someone who got an approval with 7pages SOP and a 5pages of LOE. All you need to do is make it organized and well explained. Depending on your previous refusal reason(s) and other information to be contained in it. An SOP should be able to convince the VO with the necessary points/details irrespective of the number of pages. Nobody could actually tell if a lengthy SOP bores the VO or not, its just based on complete assumptions. Take pages to explain yourself reasonably. |

Temi69:At the bolded can well be convincingly explained by your sponsor's sources of funds and not just the proof of funds. What's is actually important is the commitment shown by your sponsor by paying for either tuition fees/living expenses especially if the said sponsor is a third party. In other words, stating the amount gives extra credibility in enabling the VO understand the budgeted expenditure of such expedition |

JustMellow:Thanks. The sponsor actually didn’t put the amount in his letter of sponsorship but did affidavit to cover all expenses. Sponsor is a salary earner showing proof of employment in oil and gas with over 500k monthly. No commitment made yet hope the amount need not to be stated in he letter? |

Temi69:At the bolded, and as said before, not compulsorily but at will. If your sponsor is a third party, a commitment is essentially the most credible way to prove such honesty supported by other financial documents like payslips, employment letter, promotion letter, introduction letter of employments, bank statement etc. Also proof of relationship is vital, whether or not the sponsor is a third party or a relation. For one's biological parents proving relationship is straight forward as only the birth certificate will suffice. |

Ok dear. Tnx a lot. Break down the SOP into sub topics, then paragraph each subtopic appropriately. That makes it well organized and easy to read.Even if the VO will not read everything, she can pick any of the sub topics to read.[/quote] |

Maybe I should state that for the study gap years, I did the following: I simply outlined the mm/yy of all my work experience. However, for the gap months in between, I did some trainings, personal development & attending job career fairs with mm/yy. I was advised by one of the VFS guys (God bless him) to account for every single month which made me delay submission by a day. FOR JAND Police cert, I applied for it through ARCO and got it back in 10 working days I think. |
