Good day everyone. Please i have an appointment at the US embassy, Lagos in March but i would prefer an earlier appointment. Someone mentioned that i can keep checking to see if i can find an earlier date. I wonder if there is a limit to the number of times i can log in to check for an earlier date.

There's no such limit. There's however a limit to how many times you can reschedule.

The lady wants you to go work for her, then you shouldn't be on this thread. Sounds like you need a work visa but this thread is about visit visa.

Furthermore, she wants to employ you but doesn't want to sponsor your work visa. I would be very careful with such a person. You may find yourself been held against your will and force to have intimacy with people. Many American ladies have found themselves victims of human trafficking right in the United States.

You should always be very careful whenever someone you don't know is asking you to travel to a different country to work for them. Especially when they are ready to pay for your travel but they avoid to have anything to do with your visa.

Lastly, invitation isn't a requirement for a visit visa.
She doesn't need to vouch for you.

No one cares about her race. It is funny how you think that an invitation from a white person is a guarantee to get a visa. How is the embassy going to know the race of the person who is inviting you? Is the person going to specify his race on the invitation? A person can be white but homeless and poor. How is that going to guarantee a visa?
[/quote

Tank you very much for your response and pointing out the disadvantages and risk of going abroad to work for someone u don't know especially a white. I have heard and read about all that n that was exactly wat prompted my doing a background check on her & d job, which came out positive. I am not an illiterate, dart or desperate to travel that I will want to work for someone especially white without knowing anything about the person.

The fact that I met her online, doesn't mean I don't know anything about her. She is the type that doesn't live a private life. Post everything about her on the said social media. She has been my friend on facebook for close to 7years now even before she got married and now she has kids. The only fear I have about her is that we are not of the same belief.

She wanted to process for my work permit or whatever at the initial stage but when she made enquiry about it, she was told that it is going to be impossible and she will need to vouch( should be some1 she knows) for me, and all those made her to change her mind. Now, the conclusion is that I should come for a vacation on my own so that she will get to know me before taking any further step. I know this thread is for visiting visa n that is what I want to process for not work permit. I am not going there to work for now.

The question or questions might have sounded funny but funny enough many people have told me that with her invitation it will be easy including someone that is over there and that was why I decided to ask d question here to know how true it is cus I believe their are a lot of people here that knows much about this .

Be careful ooo. Even the owner of facebook is having issues keeping it. What i mean is. Knowing someone on facebook doesnt guarantee you know the actual person. Have you met her one on one.

It might shock you. She might be a man.

What will be the duration of your parents stay in US because if you are yet to secure interview date by now, i doubt you'd get for Feb.

RE: Bank statement:- 3 months is Okay. Chances of them asking for it or looking at it is slim but whatever make sure its not oluwole

They may stay awhile. I have to wait till I return to apply. That's the only way I can say I have travelled anywhere. I'll fill the DS 160 form before they leave Sha. We will struggle with the interview. Thank you for your reply.

Or do I need to travel to other countries more before reapplying??

We've seen Nigerian earning more than N650,000 migrate to U.S illegally on B visa.

Hello experienced nairalanders,
I wish to attend a 5 day conference in new York in July 2019. It is a medical women's conference. I am a medical doctor, married with two kids. I have a 6months UK visa. I will be traveling in Dec to London and will be spending 6 weeks. I will be back in February.

I was refused a student visa about 15years ago and this was facilitated by the same aunt.
My people, pls advice me.

Who is sponsoring your conference?
Since it's a professional conference why not stay in a hotel.
Make you include your aunt in your application as a relative but the Embassy still have the data.
Your parent location as at when you applied for U.S visa does not matter unless this is their first trip to U.S and they're not planning to return to Nigeria...
finally if you're honest, I see no problem.

Crazy!

Let us see how this plays out.

Nigerians are not the only ones that are denied US visas.

Nigerians are the most US visas abusers.

Yes!

The US embassy is not putting a gun to anybody's head to apply for their visas.

All those fees from visa fee, SEVIS fee and all have already been stated in black and white that they are non-refundable fees and that getting a visa is not a right but applicants have to convince the VO's beyond reasonable doubts that they do not have immigrants intents to overstay their presence beyond the US CBP officers legal presence date in the US.
