When Abel sacrificed the biggest animals in his farm was it scam?

Why are we always attacking the church... Do the right thing and leave d rest for God

Buy cheap internet data. Check my profile for more details

Didn't Christ said he had redeemed us from all of these sacrifices ? How you guys quote the bible to suit yourselves is disturbing. Why not Emulate Jesus Christ who had redeemed us from all these practices. Its the same you and your lots that accuse some celestials practicing the old testament way of praying to God.

It's all a scam to take your money. God doesn't need your money to bless you,he owns everything already and he gives freely to all. Open your eyes.

Don't let them deceive you with Shiloh sacrifice and first fruits anymore. God has given you all things that pertains to life and godliness. Don't let them scam you.
Invest your money wisely, bless your mother, help the poor instead of giving it to Oyedepo and co.

Those men are already super rich, go build your own wealth, start a business, save for a rainy day. God doesn't do trade by barter .

These people prey on your stupidity.

Don't let them
God bless you.

I don't know but lemme tell you this:

I'm the least religious person in my family but the most successful (not bragging though). By the way, my family is not even a radically religious one, we are not penticostals. We love God and we worship Him in the most basic way.

But when I left Nigeria, I found out that success (and failure) is in my own hands! Give and take! Hoha!

I quite understand that there is need for humans to have a believe is some supernatural being but most of our beliefs are born out of sheer laziness. We don't want to do our part. We want someone or something to take responsiblities of our inactions etc.

Examples:
Pray to pass exam.
Pray to be rich.
Pray to buy a house.
Pray not to die (on top bad road, and Dangote truck, seiously?)
Pray to complete a project.
Pay tithe to be rich etc

If you want any of these good result, the only way to get them is to work towards it! It is only when you have done your best, then the ones you cannot change as a human being, you hand them over to God!

So I keyed into that and I have been succeeding exceptionally! Ameeen o. That's how individuals succed. That's how nations succed!

I remember as an undergraduate, I struggled so much with academics in my early years. I was at that time so distracted in a “good” relationship. Then towards exams, I get serious, read what I can and then pray! Thankfully in my 3rd year, I managed to end the relationship and paid full attention to books! Even without “prayers”, I aced all my courses, clinching a 2'1 by the feet!

I know folks are are not religuous and yet not successful (they know they are living below their potentials). Failure is also in our hands. No man (except maybe your parents) can curse you and it will work because he is your “spiritual head”.
My elder sister just failed an interview last week. When I spoke with her the morning of the interview, I knew she was not ready! Guess what, after the interview, she blamed God. Then she balmed her husband. Lol

I won't tell you what to do, or believe. But please use your brain!

Your problem here is your shallow thought that we give cuz we expect blessing or succes in return. No we don’t or I don’t. I give cuz I’m promoting my Lords work. And you accusing the pastors of using my money for personal gain won’t stop that. I give to the needy but then I give to the pastors to promote Gods word, I’m not burdened by it, I’m not forced to. I do it to appreciate Gods work in my life, it’s the least I can do to promote his earthly work. If the pastors uses it for their own gain, God will fully pay them. Whatever you sow you reap, no pastor would escape Gods judgement no one will. So it you deem it so right to pay, then pay, if you think you don’t want it then don’t. Ain’t nobody coercing you

@Op,

There's nothing wrong with giving to the church of God. Oh yes, God is a spirit and doesnt need your physical money; but what God needs is your faith! God's hand can be moved in your life when he sees you do something difficult (a sacrifice) to gain his attention.

When God asked Abram to sacrifice Issac as a burnt offering, of course God isnt a cannibal so he wasnt going to come down and eat Isaac, he didnt need Isaac for anything. Likewise when God asks for animal sacrifices in the old testament, he doesnt come down to eat the lamb the people sacrifice, God doesnt eat or need your lamb meat. Also, when we fast to support our prayers, of course God doesnt come down and eat the food which we didnt eat, neither does He take pleasure in seeing you go hungry. But in all these things, God is simply moved when we deprive ourselves of something valuable to us in order to gain his attention. Depriving ourselves of something valuable or subjecting ourselves to distress is called 'sacrifice' if we do it to gain God's attention.

This isnt even restricted to God. Even juju spirits that ask for sacrifices in shrines for a native doctor to perform a charm, the juju spirits dont come down to eat the white spotless male chicken you bring. All the juju wants is for you to make an effort at something difficult, to deprive yourself of something valuable. At the end, it's the chief priest and his family that eats the chicken meat, but the juju god has seen your effort in providing such a difficult requirement (sacrifice) and that is the price you have to pay for the juju to grant your wishes.

So in essence, just the same way humans go on hunger strike when protesting and trying to gain attention of govt or whoever, that's the same way Christians fast or deprive themselves of money to gain God's attention. Both cases are called 'sacrifice'; but yeah, there is no doubt that the new generation religious movements have taken the money drive to a ridiculous level which even God can never be pleased with. It even gets worse when most churches now preach that giving to God must entail giving money to a church.
