Please gurus in the house I have few questions that I need clarity on.
I had applied to go study for my masters in Canada sometime this year but was refused Visa.
I have my brother in Canada, and right now am looking at visiting him in Canada with the intention to still apply for my study permit. The question is, will they refuse me visiting visa because I had already applied for study permit, will they see it like am desperate?
And again how much is application fee for Visiting Visa
Thanks.

From what I saw if your application is taking long it’s with them as they are verifying a something about your app and documents, possibly secondary review( between the lead visa officer and the one in CPC -Vegreville) each application is usually marked with Bff’D Meaning bring forward date a date where your application will be reviewedwas touched by the Visa Officer

PS- Bff’D Is usually the elapsing date given when a details is requested from PA during verification either 30days , 60days as case maybe .. if you were send medical request on the 1st June your Bff’d Is 1st July when your app will be touched again.. but when you send your medicals let’s say 15th June the VO will be forced to touch your file before the Bff’D date

Also, if you check your Gcms not you will see Created by, Assigned by, updated by, assigned to and even due date.. and some has code names if visa officers like J17865 or M13443 or RC-6023 which is the regional medical center London other location like Singapore, Kenya , Lagos etc has there own ..

In case of interview like the big daddy that was interviewed in Lagos over the clearness of SOA it was already indicated in his gcms note by the lead Visa Officer in London and CPC-Vegreville (this office deals with SP in Canada) through interaction
Reason why some cases applicants are requested to submitted Update SOA if something is found fishy, or they reach out issuers of 3rd party documents submitted in some cases like company that issued employment letter etc

Pardon my typing

I did and already wrote CIC to explain the whole thing with documents from school site..

After so many research bombarding then with emails after your processing time isn’t desperate.. sometimes files are forgotten in storage section due to long waiting time so repeatedly bombarding them with emails abd Csc help to bring their notice to such file if that is the case ..

I believe CIC does verifies your LOA with the school as if you check your Gcms note under organization and entities , you will see your school details , Student Number , status ( Active if accepted)

Austacus:

So now, what’s the way forward?
Try and get in touch with your school about this.
Which school please?

But why would the VO be confused about your LOA whereas your school is in the list of designated learning institute
They can easily use the DLI number and admission number to do their verification

Okay bro, you’ve done a very good job
Kudos

The do internet research too lol
Above all let God’s grace speak for us all.. other who are in the May/June/July bracket should order their gcms note so as to not be in the Dark

Funny thing they know and see resumption time .. I wish Canadian Embassy can just do interviews like USA

The overall I believe is God and he will come through .. infact by faith had already came through

the fact that you’ve been refused study visa does not translate into automatic refusal of visiting visa.
Re-applying for study permit from Canada doesn’t give you any edge over Nigeria applicants.
Also note that your visiting intentions must be made clear or else another refusal is imminent.
Set your intentions right, and if they’re convincing enough for visiting, you will def land the visiting visa.
will they see it like am desperate?
And again how much is application fee for Visiting Visa

It usually takes between 30-45 days I think..
in some cases lesser and in some more but never heard it take more than 45 days

Be calm brother

Austacus:

In my case, I am not even waiting for an approval even as my background check, eligibility review and medical passed are all done.
I just can’t wait to see my Gcms note.
I was supposed to get it on Friday, yet it’s nowhere to be found.

These VOs need serious flogging with koboko
