Some pensioners who didn't receive November pension earlier received yesterday including my pops.

The first 500nok got alert yesterday, others to get next week.it is bulk payment. Any nok that has been mistakenly put on payroll or receiving pension will not be given bulk payment until he/she makes a formal complaint.nok don't receive pension.congratulations to nok.

The stuff is just confusing. I know of 2 NOKs that have received both oct and nov monthly pension as against the belief that all NOKs are going to be paid off once and for all. Maybe an error from their end or so. I can also confirm as sharon hinted yesterday that 1st batch of 500 NOKs were paid.

my late father's entitlement my mum has been waiting and hoping on was just paid, just 60k and nothing else, after more than 20yrs of service at a good service level, and ptad is saying that's all and nothing more to be paid to NOks, I just don't understand this country.

@daewood: I doubt if what you mum received is payment to NOK. It is obviously monthly payment. You would have to complain to PTAD cos it seems they wrongly placed your late dad on monthly pension when he is supposed to be paid a bulk sum from the last pension buy out of 2011\2012 paid by BPE. If he benefited from that last one then count from then to when he died. E.g if he died in 2016 for example, he will be entitled to 4 years pensions paid in bulk.

Go to twitter search for PTAD and lay your complaints.. You are supposed to recieve a bulk sum not monthly pensions.. I heard some NOKs are receiving as much as 3-7 million naira.. Act fast.

is this the first time of receiving the 60k?if yes u have to make a formal complaint to ptad.my advice for nok receiving pension is to come out and tell the truth cos sooner or later ptad will get to know and the next of kin may not be able to access the death benefit again. Nok don't receive pension.I know some noks are aware of this but just decided not to tell ptad cos they never envisaged that ptad will pay them on time.i know of those who got as much as 10million.good luck.I heard payment of arrears will soon commence

Plz my dad just received the NHF Refund of of 34k. He said that he is being downpaid, that it suppose to be 80k. Wat is d appreciate method to request for a refund of the balance?

Just left ptad office in Lagos. unfortunately, they didn't short pay any NOK. they calculated from Oct 2011 till when the retiree died!! I went there to complain and they clarified me

My dad died Nov 2011, meaning they just paid a month, Jesus, that's too bad, guess that's why they refuse to pay 20yrs so that ppl can be short paid and they save themselves money

some people didn't get any penny. people were just crying today!! lost my dad March, 2012!! was paid almost ₦300k

I met a young man who had to borrow money to do letter of administration. He didn't receive a dime cos he lost his dad in 2010!! I couldn't even complain!!

it's to take them to court back and demand for the proper thing to be done @20yrs to be paid, because these people are just playing with people lives

Now people are willing to go to court for 20yrs maybe we have to wait some more till the pensions stop comming mayb when it's late. We all have our choices we can chose to fight or we can tell ourselves that FG can't pay 20yrs and remain beggars forever. Your choice.

Since you have the money to go to court why not go alone and spend what u don't have. All of a sudden they started paying pension ND pensioners are happy about it .then u want to cut it short because they paid u for a month..try and see if u will win

What about the pensioners, won't they receive bulk payment as the nok has?

According to PTAD on their Twitter page, arrears or bulk payment to qualified pensioners would be done when government releasws money for that purpose.

I hear the nitel reps are lobbying for some arrears to be paid next year.

Come ooo, I thought @ptad had said the payments of pension arrears was tired to the 20180 budget? If my memory hasn't failed me, the budget was passed around May, 2018. It will effectively elapse in May 2019. If the FG is really serious about payments, at least by now we would have started hearing concrete information as to when these monies will be released. I still will want to appeal to the Halita group to triple their hustle, and prevail on the FG to release these funds, rather than going on national television, through ptad and the information ministry praising Mr Buhari for enrolling ex nitel/mtel staff on monthly pensions. Pensions are peanuts for now, and until and when these areas are paid, it still remains a drop in the ocean. Hajiya Zainab should also do more, because she was able to put smiles on the faces of the Nigerian airways guys just few weeks after she assumed office as finance minister. I bet you, 80 percent of us might not even talk about 20 years buyout again if we can collect the 7 years pension areas (Oct 2011-oct 2018). 84 months areas will go a long way in putting pensioners "back to life". As far as I am concerned, we where truly supposed to be paid the 20 years, but putting us on pensions is not too bad, only that we must be paid all areas. Please we all should channel our efforts in seeing that the FG releases these funds as soon as possible. I read today that the excess crude account depleted by about 78 percent in 3 weeks! Same thing happened before the 2015 general elections. The money is there, but they are channelling it towards winning elections next year

You said it well, payment of the arrears will make many switch off the buyout frequency.

By the way, would the 20 years buyout have been calculated as monthly × 12 × 20 years or a certain percentage × 20 years ?

What about us that were not up to 10years like in my case am 8yrs is there any package for us. Although I received ptad sms telling me am not entitled for pension. So what is the way forward.

Every where is silent, are pensioners not getting arears payment? This monthly pension is petty

Please just hang on brother government must pay the 20 years whether they like it or not. Because I can't imagine some people been treated specially while others treated like slaves in their own country. The fact remains that government have settled Nepa & Airways so they should also gradually & diligently settle nitel, it's just a straight forward matter. If they like they should delay it till 2030.
