Hi people. I'm new here and need your advice ;
I am a young pharmacist less than 30. From some threads I've seen here and the little I know my ECA shld be through PEBC;do I register for IETLS and start ECA at the same time, considering that PEBC takes longer than WES,should hubby also start ECA via WES immediately after registering for IELTS? Was thinking my husband should be the P.A since he has more work experience and 2 certs HND and PGD. I have just one year internship experience in a govt hospital and spent my service year(last year till I finished this year) running my own community pharmacy.
Does my 1 yr internship and over one 1 yr experience in business,my age and discipline put me at an advantage over hubby for a good CRS score,or his degrees and more work experience(5years+)

Hello Hadassah and welcome to the thread.
Please visit Page 1 for your welcome pack. Loaded and impacting. By the way, you are right with PEBC.

Yes and no, in some state they've never done such before so they'll just turn you off while in some they've been doing.

Hello guys, please let me apologise in advance, I'm getting so many conflicting answers on this issue, and I fear for ADR that's why I want to double check!
If you are using Fixed deposit, do you still have to present 6 months account statement? Not compulsory The bank doesn't issue letter in IRCC format. Isok and generic bank letter is acceptable. Or is uploading just the FD certificate Okay?
Do I ask the bank to give me their own kind of reference letter? Yes.

Thanks a million.

Does it mean one can not submit with a passport with less than 6 months validity. Can one submit ITA and raise a CSE for new passport later or wait till new passport is ready?
Someone mentioned just few pages back, that they couldn't even do medicals with such a passport.
So why not do a new one now. It doesn't take that long to process a new passport

Most banks don't issue letter in IRCC format. Take whatever letter they give you, also ask for a 'letter of non-indebtedness', add it to the FD certificate and submit. You don't need 6 months statement.

You surely have an edge considering your age, so you should be the PA. Also B.pharm is evaluated as a masters degree by PEBC which translates to more CRS points.
My advice go ahead with your evaluation and start preparing for IELTS. Once you are ok with your preparation you can write the exam.

I have been in your position.
There's nothing to be worried about. Please go ahead with submitting your e-apr while working towards getting your Gastro report.

It took my spouse and I, 1 week after medicals and further test with Clina Lancet to receive the Gastro report. This was then sent to Children's practice hospital via mail.

Important to note is that we PASSED our medical within the 30 days time frame after AOR.

The fear of my spouse HepB status made us want to apply as "unaccompanied" or as "single" lol #GodsPlan

Good evening to my dear online family. Been a silent reader and have learnt a lot. God bless all the contributors.
Please i have a situation and need advise from seniors here. Biko SOS sad
I am post ITA but there is an issue with my medical. Had medicals done at IOM and found out i have Hep B during the medical exam and was refereed to see a Gastro for further consultation so as to obtain a medical report to submit back at the clinic before they will upload my medicals on CIC e-portal. Medicals for all other family members were uploaded and the clinic gave me information sheet print out for all of us. Getting the report has been hectic as the Doctor has been delaying the process and time is no longer on my side though still waiting as all the required tests had been done; waiting for result and report. My question is that can i go ahead and submit my e-apr pending the time i get the Gastro medical report since i already have required form to upload for the ITA? I have read on the thread about applicants with Hep B issue and eventually got PPR but haven't seen any with my exact scenarios.

Please help!!! cry cry cry

These is now my favorite thread. Although I found out about this thread after AOR. Informations in this thread would have answered most of my questions post ITA. The contributions from seniors are too valuable.

Started this journey, in 2017. Wrote 1st IELTS in December 2017, L,R,S,W - 7, 8.5,6.5,6.5.

2nd IELTS in July 2018. L,R,S,W - 8, 7, 7,6.
Wife score L,R,S,W - 8.5, 6, 7.5, 6.5

3rd IELTS in September 2018. L,R,S,W - 9,8,7,7.

My wife wrote her IE

The tips to passing IELTS is not to understand estimates it. Don't think because I have masters and PhD I can easily pass it. It is a battle that you have to prepare for.. Looool.

My tips for passing IELTS.

Reading Tips
The first answer to the first question is mostly found in the first paragraph. The answer to the second question follows. You don't need to read all essay paragraphs every time looking for answers. Eg. Once you know the first answer.. You don't need to read that portion of the paragraph looking for answers to subsequent questions

Listening Tips.

For listening test.. I understand, they mark you wrong if you don't capitalize Proper noun. To be on the safe side. It's adversable to capitalize all your answers. That's exactly what I did and got a 9.
With constant practice.

Writing and Speaking Test..

I'll strongly recommend e2language free youtube video by Jay. Excellent videos. Like one senior posted. Don't use different material. Stick to one as most of them don't agree on methods.

Started ECA in October 2017. Finally got it in March 2018. No thanks to my University. It took them forever to verify the results.

Finally got ITA on 15th October with a CRS score of 447. I'm the PA since I have MSc.

AOR in December.

That's my canny journey so far. In all.. IT WILL END IN PRAISE.

It is normal as it takes about a month before you get an update from them.

Meanwhile, when last did you visit IQAS website? Seems they introduced a portal account which wasn't there previously. You may want to create one to enable you track your application if you haven't already.
