After my friend worked and payed, his Uncle just woke up one morning booked ticket to Nigeria for both of them saying they need to go home. As we speak my friend is back to Nigeria without anything and after paying the 5M, the uncle still didnt release his Travelling document.

Please I need advice, Can he apply for a replacement of both working permit and Passport, let's assume he was robbed and everything was taken away, though he has them snapped on his phone. This guy is already depressed.

He should go to the embassy to report the matter or go to court since there is a breach of contract however I'm fearing if he goes to court he might loose the case because no agreement was signed about the uncle giving him back his documents when he gives him his money.he should pray too and involve the uk embassy in the embassy

The Passport belongs to the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Work Permit belongs to the British Government it is illegal to collect documents of these nature issued to another as a form of coercion.

Nah crime, he should speak to the home office (UK) and Ministry of Interior(Nigeria), then proceed to the police.

If he has solid evidence of the documents, he can go to the police (Nigerian police I cannot trust) report that the documents were stolen. With police report , he can approach British Embassy. I guess the Embassy has access to the database which will show he left London with such documents.

How did he or the uncle get the permit in the first place? Are you sure the uncle won't expose him if he tries to collect the RP through the embassy ?,especially if the resident permit was gotten through fake marriage or through shady means? It is better he goes to the uncle and beg him.Getting UK resident permit is not easy o..I am sure he offended his uncle greatly for him to ask for a refund of his money.Spending 5m on someone for travelling is a sacrifice.

You lie how can some body work when his working permit is seized, and is not easy to make 5m Naira in UK even if you work 10 years, so how did he work for years to get 5m in UK which is nopt easy without working permit. please tell us exactly what happen
