I currently live in the south, but my dad told me that when we are free we will go

Babe refrain from saying things like innit. lol. Just be yourself.

i would like to say something...

people have mixed feelings about the uk.

Any one telling you that dont come here there is nothing interesting here is lying oooo grin grin grin

butttt

coming here legally is what matters if you come without work permit or permit to stay then you will face a lot here ooo because like someone said everyone minds their business and no one would help you,

but if you get here with even the basic requirement then welcome to a new life ,

i would recommend the US because if you go with a visiting visa to us as long as you dont break any law and dont tell anyone that you dont have the papers you are good .

My friend relocated to mexico with his dad ( mexico is more easy to get into) then then crossed over the US boarder worked odd jobs , saved a lot and applied or their papers and they got it smiley

NOTE: I dont recommend the above because the truth is that you know the system in nigeria and it is easier to make it in nigeria , make money in Nigeria and you will be coming here to charge phone like its nothing.

I wouldn't say they are lying. Lets be honest. There is nothing here. England as a whole is expensive. Like you suggested America is better. America is where you will find a lot of opportunities.

Stop it!... Which Ikorodu? This neat areas? .. No dey play that kain play.. Oya take am.. angry

The poster is right. I know these areas well. What I saw was West Croydon, Selhurst and East Croydon with the tram. These areas have been relatively deprived areas but recently the local council has injected funds into the area in regeneration plans to the tune of billions of pounds.

It is undergoing a deliberate face lift but will not be complete for a few years yet.

@ OP be sure NOT to force an accent change. Africans ESPECIALLY Nigerians get laughed at for doing it and it's not respected here at all. Be authentically you....always.

my 9ja accent is still the same ooo, though i say word like Mate , innit , fam, e.t.c
there are over 7 british accent here , nigerian accent is better than some expecially cockney i just hate the accent.
the one i like and i want to learn is the Recieved pronounciation ( queens english or BBC english) that one sounds like music to the ear.
if you come here just be confident with your accent because some immigrants cant even speak english.

You will see a 15 year old girl looking like mercy Johnson ( Jamaicans, Ghanaians, Somalians and South Africans in church ) and since I'm 18 I Can't shine my teeth at them or na jail straight.

I think I may fulfill my dream of dating an Arabian or Indian .
everyone here are just too open about sex because the age of consent ( legal knacking age) is 16 years and most parents are not strict because believe it or not if you beat any child here na jail straight ooo. shocked

Most people know me as a bad boy in Nigeria but since the people I grew up with were important members in church so I was taught good morals (thankful for that).

Delusional statement? Oh I get it, you must be a newcomer. Welcome! Well let me tell you something, as a British citizen with degrees and is moving to the States soon. I know what I'm talking about. I said what I said. Deal with it. Wake up. Do you know how many Nigerians are relocating back to Nigeria everyday? I guess you must be oblivious to the fact that many Nigerians are moving to America, Canada, Germany, Australia and Dubai now? If you come from Nigeria on a student visa and successfully complete it your degree the chances of one staying behind is slim to none unless you have an employer who is willing to sponsor you or you marry someone. To add to that, thousands of white people relocate out of the UK every year to other countries. You obviously live in a bubble. The UK government and policies are changing everyday. Brexit. Ding ding! Everything is becoming expensive. Don't even get me started on the outrageous taxes and the tiny houses in London as compared to houses in LA or Atlanta or even Nigeria. Wake up! Smell the coffee Mr Delusional.
