He said free units was given to access holders when access acquired intercontinental. enjoy one of the benefits of buying share of a company which the Director owns large number of share of such company. Any factor that will make access to be distressed will affect 20 out of every 1000 Nigerians

I redeemed part of my MMF so I can chop quick 10% , I expected it to land same day but it didn’t land in my bank account until three days later . I was so upset mehn.

What do you expect SEC and NSE to do? CBN is the direct regulator of the banking sector. SEC/NSE are capital market regulators and deal more with capital market rules. Its not against capital market rules for a company to make loss. As long as the bank continue to meet listing and other capital market rules, SEC and NSE will not intervene. The direct responsibility for banks is with the CBN. It is CBN that fix CAR and other ratios and also sanctions banks that fail to meet those ratios.
Diamond's current issues relate to there ability to continue to meet those ratios in the nearest future.

While a potential Access Bank acquisition/merger with Diamond Bank could still lead to the resignation of Uzoma Dozie, we understand the Dozies will keep a significant portion of their shareholding of the bank giving them a seat on the board of the bank.
