This is a battle between PDP and APC. Igbos have found a home in PDP and they believe they have a stake in it, while Yorubas on the other hand believe that APC is their baby that they must nurse and guard jealously. No hard feelings. May the best party wiins.

Did PDP not almost choose a Yoruba VP candidate? Akinwunmi Adesina was strongly considered for the post and there wasn't much noise. Even Yorubas contested for PDP chairman before Secondus won it.

I don't play tribal cards but APC will be stupid to field an Igbo Candidate if they win in 2019. This is pure politics, it is almost certain PDP will get 90% of votes in South East, so give me one reason why APC will go on to pick a Candidate from the region in 2023? At least PDP can field from there.

A northerner will still contest in 2023, just the same way southerners are contesting now even though it is believed the north should rule between next year and 2023.
Without southern unity, the presidency will remain in the north. Igbos will rather vote a northerner in 2023 than for a Yoruba to rule.

Stop bringing tribalism card to the bare...Why will APC field a Candidate from the south east in 2023 ? APC enjoys acceptance in South West and some places in South South. Why do you guys care so much about who the party fields when you are not even supporting them.
