In reference to the guy who talked about Enugu, i stayed there for a little time and made some observances. Enugu is a very cool, clean place with awesome road network and a nice hill like environment. It's a place where people who need to take a break from the normal noisy Nigerian lifestyle go to. It's mostly known for enjoyment and stress free lifestyle. If you know you're a young guy trying to start life, Enugu is not for you (else you'd get really broke, unless you're a techie).
Electricity supply is quite decent, crime rate is at an all time low, public transport is quite cheap and rents are quite okay and affordable depending on the location. Nevertheless water supply is going to be a huuuge problem as the whole city is on a series of hills, drilling a borehole is going to be quite expensive. Business may not be very lucrative unless you're venturing into the tech and entertainment industry(its booming in Enugu). Nevertheless enugu is a place that made men and retirees go to relax and enjoy life. If you know you don't have money to spend don't go there.

I think real estate business is booming in Enugu.. Many malls are springing up in the city but house rent in Enugu is the most expensive in the east.Enugu is one of the states with the highest number of estates, the city is almost filled up with estates..

Enugu flocks to what is trending, after some time if you are not innovative sorry will be your name

As for the estates, there are a lot o. Just find land in those developing areas around that old road going to Awka. There was a time land at golf was going for 100K a plot, that was 2005

Me I'm in love with Ibadan as a city but my fear is this if I resign from my #68,000 job in Lagos where my annual accommodation is #200,000 but my transportation to and fro is #200. To start up a business in Ibadan.
1. What buying and selling can move very fast in Ibadan though my line of business is cosmetic.
2. Can I see a mini flat with total package #150,000 in Ibadan bcoz I have a lot of load.
3. How about shop can I see good shop of #100,000 total package.
4. If I set aside #1,000,000 as a start up capital. Will I be getting up #50,000 as return though not up to my monthly salary.
5. I'm 32 years but am afraid to marry with my life savings and family depending on #68,000 - #71,000 monthly salary.
Pls advice me before I renew my rent by January ending.

I relocated from Lagos to Ibadan around June this year, I don't regret the decision bro, maybe because I am self-employed and my business is online-based so Location was never a barrier. Ibadan is peaceful, neat, accommodation is fairly cheaper than it is in Lagos.
If you have the mind-set of getting a white-collar job or your business is going to be largely dependent on offline customers, seek somewhere else. Electricity?, I rate am 7/10.

I agree 100% with everything you said. I hate driving in Lagos traffic. I just keep my car at home and use Uber or Taxify. I now see why Lagosians have a shorter lifespan compared to their counterparts in other states.

sir, I wanted to relocate there, next year, but seeing your review I have been greatly discouraged... I am a young man in my early 20s,not a Graduate, have an eye for tech, limited funds for now, I want to go into phones accessories business plus maybe taxify.... Accommodation would not be problem for me, cos I have someone to squat with... Currently in delta state (not asaba)

What is your advice sir ( I really don't like Lagos) but nevertheless you can still recommend it....

Thank you for your concern. Yes I tried starting something for myself plus my job but unfortunately, the kind job I do is so demanding that any minute am not in the office entire management will know.
My plan is to start up something on my own before involving anyone wife or sister to manage it.
I would like prefer a sales girl but no time.

Try Igboora.Ifeloju local government. Oyo state.U can open shop like mini super market. Sell things that are not common in the rural areas. Go to Lagos Island to buy many stuff, put them inside the shop. Rent self contain flat and start new life. After few months U will be attracted to local girls. Get settle with one of them and she will deliver U twins baby. The land is fertile soil for twins kids. Best of luck.

Bro, are u surprise how he survive dat in Lagos. Me dat is typing now, I don't earn half of what dat guy earn on monthly basic. Right nw I am vr depress n seem like all hope is lost. I work in one man business, d woman who is my boss even worst d situation dis Yuletide. I was d only person who work in d office wit her other are doing a field work... This woman didn't not give me penny as a Christmas bonus n no reason was given, I never think if it right for me to ask her but I was depressed not because of d monetary value but d regards n encouragement d money give, at least u have been appreciate wit d person u are working wit...
