Any attempt to vote wike in means 1) No promotion 2) No yearly salary increment 3) No Christmas bonus 4) No employment. It is expected that one should grow financially as you stay longer in service, but wike will not allow me and you to receive what is due for us. I advice you my brothers and sisters use your voters card wisely.

Wike presents N480.41bn budget for 2019 fiscal year
ON December 24, 2018 6:56 PM /
IN News / Comments
Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers on Monday in Port Harcourt presented the 2019 Appropriation Bill of N480.42 billion to the State House of Assembly for consideration.

Wike said that the estimate tagged “Budget for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development,” was made up of N323.29 billion (65 per cent) capital expenditure and N157.12 billion (35 per cent) recurrent expenditure.

The governor said that the sum was N57.70 billion less than the 2018 figure and added that N33 billion had been proposed for pensions and gratuities.

He said that the challenge about the plight of pensioners has lingered for too long and promised to tackle it in the coming year.
“Certainly, our senior citizens deserve better treatment than what they are presently getting,” he said.

He said that the budget would be funded from allocations from the Federal Account, Value Added Tax (VAT) and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

He said the estimate was premised on an oil price benchmark of 55 US dollars per barrel which was five dollars lower than the Federal Government’s benchmark.

The governor said it was also based on the assumption of an oil production rate of two million barrels per day and an inflation rate of 10.9 per cent.

Wike said that the 2019 budget prioritised human capital and infrastructure development, adding that it would continue to strengthen the state’s economy, create jobs and complete ongoing projects.

He said that a substantial part of the capital budget was allocated to the Ministries of Agriculture, Education, Employment Generation, Empowerment, Health, Sports Development, Women Affairs, Works, and Youth Development

He said: “It’s clear by these estimates that the 2019 budget is aimed at promoting economic growth, creating jobs, tackling unemployment, taking our people out of poverty and improving their living standards,”.

On the N30,000 new minimum wage, Wike said he would implement the new wage as soon as the federal government reviewed resource allocation formula for states.

Responding, the Speaker, Mr Ikunyi-awaji Ibani, commended the governor for presenting “a people-oriented” budget and promised speedy consideration and approval by the house. (NAN)

Based on the above statement, he never had the interest of the civil servant.

we should forget anything coming from the governor, we should forget about the minimum wage, because Buhari can't review resource allocation formula for state, Federal government 2019 budget benchmark based on crude oil is on 60 dollars per a barrel, Rivers state reduced it by 5 to 55 dollars per a barrel, just this evening crude oil price has crashed to 50 dollars per a barrel, and might still go down.

we should forget about Christmas bonus/ 13th months salary

we should forget about promotion, even if it comes, it will seems to be fake

we should forget about interest free revolving loan

But more important, we should not forget our voters card and prayer.

we are in one chance government.
. Lie no dey pay oh..... It was on channel n rythm that Wike said he will implement any amount agreed upon once the federal government approves it but that he is not going to take any position on the amount. he than ask the union n civil society to appeal to the federal government to review revenue sharing formula to enabled all states sustain the payment of new minimum wage when approved. He even made reference with Zamfara state whose wage bill is more than her monthly allocation n has little prospect to boast her internal revenue generation.

Wike said, he will implement when the revenue formulae is review.
And the op said, pmb is not ready to give an upward review to the revenue sugaring formula.
Conclusion; no upward review if revenue= no implementation of #30k minimum wage.

Wike accommodates new wage in N480b 2019 budget

Nyesom Wike

• Tambuwal proposes N169.6b for Sokoto

Governor Nyesom Wike has accommodated the expected new minimum wage in the 2019 Appropriation Bill of N480billion he presented to the Rivers State House of Assembly yesterday.

The budget designed to achieve sustainable growth and development is less than the N510billion 2018 appropriation bill. Wike said the 2019 proposals were specifically aimed at promoting economic growth and diversification, creating jobs to reduce unemployment and poverty and as well, improving the living standard of the people.

The budget is premised on an oil price benchmark of $55 per barrel, which is five dollars lower than that of the Federal Government. It has a total capital expenditure of N323 billion and recurrent expenditure of N157 billion.

The governor said the capital allocation for the 2019 fiscal year represented 65 per cent of the total budget, noting that the sum is, however, less than the figure for 2018 by N57 billion due to the reduction in the total size of the 2019 budget.

According to Governor Wike, the budget is expected to be financed by the internally generated revenue of N120, 492,891,302.00; statutory allocation
of N73, 169,813,022.00; 13% oil minerals fund of N145, 070,991,780.00; Value Added Tax (VAT) of N26, 377,628,543.00; Refunds of N27, 337,926,155.08; and local credits of N45 billions, among others.

A substantial part of the capital budget is allocated to the ministries of agriculture; education; employment generation and empowerment; health; sports development; women affairs; works; and youth development because the budget is focused on human capital development and provision of infrastructure.Governor Wike said his administration would continue to prioritize security of lives and property in spite of the alleged lack of cooperation from the Federal Government.

“The sum of N18,000,000,000.00 has been proposed to fund all aspects of securing and keeping Rivers State safe, peaceful and secure, including the operationalization of the recently established State Neighbourhood Safety Corps programme.

In Sokoto State, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, presented to the House of Assembly for approval a budget of N169,652,771,486.00 for 2019.Tagged “Budget of Consolidation”, Tambuwal said the emphasis would be on continuation of ongoing projects. The amount represents a shortfall of N50, 493,079.00 or 23.06 percent when compared to the 2018 figure of N220,500,264.

According to Tambuwal, N70,468,519,058.00 representing 41.53 percent is for recurrent expenditure while N99,184,252,425.00 is for capital expenditure. He stated that the budget was prepared in consonance with existing budgetary standing and prevailing fiscal projection. He also noted that although under a democratic dispensation, the budget is a product of extensive consultations with key stakeholders, the ultimate objective at all times is meeting the expectations and yearnings of the citizenry within the limits of available resources. The Speaker, Alhaji Salihu Maidaji, assured the governor of speedy consideration so that he could continue the laudable programmes.

Merry Christmas distinguished colleagues. As we welcome 2019, it is expedient for us to have a disciplined contributory savings culture. It is in this light, that I'll solicit for ten(10) disciplined and faithful teachers who would love to join me in a contributory savings of N30,000 or N50,000 monthly. Interested people should call me on 08064106102 so we can schedule a meeting and plan the modalities to kick off January, 2019.
Thank you.

Yes, you can pay. The present minimum wage is 18k, the law allows you to pay any amount so long as it's not less than 18k. You can pay even 100k as minimum wage if you have the financial strength.

This is the cruiz of the matter:

Not when fg approve the new min wage but when revenue sharing is review upward!!!

That is it!
Yet his followers will not see it. He has made-it up in the budget but the balance will go to "someone's" pocket, since fg/pmb will not do the upward review of revenue sharing in 2019.
