pardon my dumb question: is the money coming from fbn or shell pocket? shell should fund d account if d case is against shell. meanwhile even if those communities get d money they will still remain as backward as ever. it will only create some gods in d community.

FBN is the Guarantor, so they know it’s their gbese.

Honestly how the money is spent is not my business, the money only got this big cus they allowed it to linger for so long.

Sorry i meant to say post swearing in.

Im not an expert i just feel a regime change always impacts the mkt in a huge way. If atiku wins maybe sentiments will be high

As for capital appreciation within a year, ill advise to wait till elections are over.

But! Transcorp at 1.15 is a cheap stock. That can beat treasury bills and mutual funds within the year. Selling at 1.42 = 20% profit. That price is very feasible.

At 1.64 =40% returns also feasible.

Watch for access bank after the deal with diamond is over as it has also become cheap.

If the economy takes a positive turn, consider wema for huge percentage gains as it is 59 kobo now. Could pursue N1.

If fidelity drops to 1.40 to 1.60 also a good buy.

Nigerian breweries is also cheap now. Used to be steady at 133 zone, now in 70 zone.

Certain GTB will crash after the elections following historical charts.

But buy transcorp btw 1.10 and 1.2 its the only clear one i know of now

Cheers

In as much as there are possibilities of upwards movement in price of all listed stocks, there is also the possibility of downward movement in price.
With all the talks about elections, price can remain depressed for a very long time more than anyone can predict....

My advice, learn how to value stocks and buy when you see one selling at a price below value zone and then wait for market to price your stocks right...
On the other hand, you can opt to be a trader but you will have to learn all the technicalities before you put money down...

In conclusion, no one can predict with certainty what the stock market will do tomorrow or next month.....

Thanks BOSS, i just like explanation back with proofs. However in my own opinion, GTB EPS of 5+ cant go down any how unless Nigeria is on Fire which it cant happen by God grace or if there is a global recession and even at that, it bounces back faster than other banking stocks

The ultimate debtor in this case is not FBN. They only need to pay on behalf of their client. If the client does not have money immediately, they might grant them a credit facility.

The money, when paid can only cause more trouble for the communities. It will also encourage other communities to seek court judgement in similar cases. However, it might increase environmental pollution as communities might deliberately cause sabotages of the oil facilities in their domain with hope of getting large payout via court.

This development needs to be examined thoroughly. Hopefully, the companies will not pull out.
a good number of times that what is going on if thruth be told. that's why most times these companies are reluctant in coperating

Count Nigerian Breweries off blue chip stocks for now....I see them on down ward spiral as intercontenental breweries and sab miller get stronger, only thing keeping them afloat is foreign investors and their managerial acumen...

I opened another account with Morgan I was supposed to state my Old CHN while opening the new account but they opened with a new CHN so I wrote to ccsc through Morgan while looping in Cscs that they should consolidate the account on my old CHN though I have to send reminder like twice before it was effected. I tested it if it was working when the zenith access and gtb did interim dividend on stocks bought from Morgan and I got the alert of e dividend on old chn

DAILY STOCK GUIDE FOR 14 JAN 2019- NIGERIA STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT 14 JANUARY 2019

The All share Index closed on a positive mode on Friday, but with a “caveat”. What will probably happen by opening of market today is that price will rise generally and then start falling later in the day. Tuesday will be a good day to make our purchases on any of these equities at prices or slightly lower prices. This is not a time to buy breakout at higher prices. List of our stock picks for the week/recommended entry prices (available to subscribers only).

MSCI selling has stopped technically for now. Although 3 stocks from the fund's portfolio were affected by disposal of some quantities.

For this week most of the Institutions are likely to operate in “safe Mode” in view of the impending MPC meeting for 21 and 22 January 2019. Generally for this week, I look forward to a down/flat market.
