Chibuking81:I agree that anything can happen but really it’s a done deal in principle, you can relate with current diamond bank staffs preferably top management like branch managers, you will understand my position, the acquisition process has gone far. |

veecovee:wemabank has done tremendously well in the last few quarters, but based on its ROE and P/E it still looks a little expensive, I would rather enter at a little lower price, as for fcmb, I leave that one for the ogas in the house |

Valueinvestor:Its ok, but some folks sold wema N1.50 last year. Who knows what will happen if they pay dividend this year ... as being rumoured |

veecovee:Fidelity and FCMB will do the wonder but their price need to come down a little, to present a better chance. Any bear present again which will likely take place next/upper week will usher in the wonderful opportunity. Their current price are relatively high. For dividend hunters Zenith, Julius berger, UBA are best. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Valueinvestor: 8:04pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
veecovee:yes, you are right sir, but some people bought the same wema for between 0.51-0.52 some few months ago. What am actually drawing at is that, a cheap stock may become cheaper with patience |

PETERiCHY:The United States Chamber of Commerce has confirmed a private meeting with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a mailed response to TheCable’s inquiries on attending the meeting, Katharine Cooksey, senior manager, media and external communications, US Chamber of Commerce, said no reporters will be able to attend the meeting. “Thank you for reaching out to us. The event you mention is private, closed press, and off the record,” Cooksey said. “Only U.S.-Africa Business Center members are invited. No reporters will be able to attend.” https://www.thecable.ng/just-in-us-chamber-of-commerce-confirms-atikus-business-meeting-in-washington #LetsGetNseWorkingAgain#

@PETERiCHY, I know that your political contributions to this forum are in relation to the stock market, but please let us keep political opinion to ourselves for now, because we have so many foreign bodies within us that are presumably members of the Buhari Media Campaign Group (BMC). They are all over nairaland with more than 15 monikers to enforce their political views on anybody critical of their paymaster. You will soon see them coming to attack you. I watched closely the way they attacked @chibuking81 some days ago and coincidentally some genuine members joined in the attack. Don't let us give them the opportunity to destroy this forum with their political views please. Have a nice day. |

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 18 JANUARY 2019 MSCI Nigeria did not sell anything yesterday. Their portfolio position is shown below Another positive day for the market, I see a lot of people being lured into the market, this is very good for all of us. With the probability of the week closing on the green side, I see the newspapers screaming with loud headlines about the gain for this week, by extension next Monday is likely to be another positive day as more retail traders enter the market to buy (big money still sitting on the fence, we will probably start seeing the big money start unfolding their plan by Wednesday, MPC decision Should have been over by then). Market breadth favored the bulls yesterday with 23 gainers and 15 losers, NSE all share index loss for 2019 is now reduced to 2.70%. Also on the minimum subscription level you are entitled to ask us for analysis on any stock 2 times in a month. Our subscribers should still stick to our trading plan, which is still valid till end of next week or when we send other signals. For Friday 18 January 2019 projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 30,687.69 Low at 30,388.05. Wish everybody happy weekend. From this year, I will start talking about companies that are likely to be takeover/merger candidates. They are many companies that will fall in this category and will be a worthwhile research. Especially when they are trading at a very low point that our maximum loss is within 15% to 20% range. For this I will be posting more in our twitter handle. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). N:B 1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months. 2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero, unless the fund is exiting from the particular Country involved. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market. The date displayed may not be the actual date of purchase/sale of equity (this is legal and allowable under the regulations guiding funds operations in general). 3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding. 4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI Nigeria for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. Get us at twitter https://twitter.com/AnalysisTarget

Lmfao See logic . When you hail atiku and discredit Buhari and APC with long posts and numerous mocking pictures as we have up there. You’re not destroying or derailing the thread with politics and you’re not a paid agent . But the moment someone disagrees with these people’s views and praise PMB/APC , then such person becomes a foreign body ,a member of Buhari media organisation and have numerous monikers automatically. Wow! What a way to think . This is so interesting ![]() |
