if the US president was to call for a press conference and rumours leaked out that they are about to sanction any country ( only rumours o, no sanction yet o) prospective foreign investors and traders will automatically suspended any future plan they have regarding the sanctioned country, your currency will tumble, the price of your assets may collapse, hunger will land especially for countries like Nigeria that depends on import as America and it allies may block off every trade route

but where is Gaddafi today? the US were able to falsely accused Gaddafi of possessing nuclear weapons and they invaded a sovereign nation like Lybia just to get a share of oil and to destroy African best economy and no one, I mean no country in the world could stand up to them or even try to publicly blame or sanction them like the US will do to other countries. does that not tell you the kind of power America has?
here is another example:
the US government refused to fight side by side with the Syrian government in the fight against ISIS but just last year they sent high-level bombs that should not be used to destroy Syria military equipment that were paid for and supplied by Russia and Iran all because of allegations that the Syrian government used chemical weapons against civilians and what was Russia reaction? all Russia did was to moan and threaten US all day.
