My advice would be
1.learn a skill especially ICT skills u can use that to apply then learn FX so u can make money along side ,join the global work force https://weworkremotely.com/. https://remoteok.io/
2. Volunteer for job in a company I know this isn't easy but once u volunteer after some months. 2 or 4 u can be staffed or u can use that expericenc to start applying for a good job
3.if u have save ( some thou ) learn on line business (import or affliate marketing) or research a business well before u move into it before moving into a any business work on your networking skill and marketing skill starting a business is not the problem knowing how to market a product or service is always the problem
4.Read financial ,business books and self development

6 months after you pass out from NYSC and no job, please forget pride, forget I AM a GRADUATE and fold your sleeves and go back to drawing board, how Go and learn any handwork or skill like tailoring, welding (engineering graduates), upholstery, aluminium works, mason or pop design, you can also learn sellable online skills and pls while learning humble yourself and forget the graduate level.

You can also assemble 3 - 5 close friends of yours who share similar vision and dream, and you guys can pull your resources together and startup a small scale business, trade or whatever you guys skill can carry.

But try and get a legal personnel to document your deed of business association to avoid any future issues.

I did this with some friends and it paid off. Try it.

God will help you all pass this trying stage, it won't be permanent.

Failure is common to every successful person, it is how you handle your failure that will determine the level of your success in life.

well said I love that. Bros, am a chorister in the house of God, and I have a desire to learn musical instruments most especially Saxophone, but lack of adequte fund has been my main challenge, a new saxophone is within 95K-100k but a fairly used ones is around 45k or 60k. So any amount you can support will go a long way. Thank you sir

I finished NYSC around a April 2017, I went back to Lagos were I base, started part time teaching in private schools till February 2018. In March 2018, I started 6- months trade, which I finished around Sept. By God's grace my family was able to funds for me & I started my own business . The truth is that life after school is quite challenging, but you need to be focused, take good decision & trust God, don't procrastinate about it, the earlier the better, see you all the top.

Na lie, commandant has no business with civilians inside the barracks as long as you know a soldier there and you have your pass that allows you in and out of the barracks at will.

If you don't have a pass, apply for one irrespective of whether the soldier is your family member or not!
I stayed in the cabin for the officers not the civilian building sir.

Was teaching during my service year. Finished ending of 2016. Applied and taught in a private secondary school throughout 2017. Then early part of 2018 I had a temporary job to provide safety supervision for a project offshore. The project lasted for 6 months. Later part of 2018 I commenced NPower teaching in a technical college. Apart from the above, I produce liquid detergent, aftershave, Izal, bleach, methylated spirit, and hair cream which I learnt during my NYSC. I was engaged by an ICT Academy to teach an engineering software - Aspen HYSYS - in December last year. A service that lasted for 10 days. I do home lesson, assist university students in design projects. That's how I have been surviving.

Are U in Lagos? get in touch ASAP if U are

Men! this life is funny until God opens your eyes to see the billions of dollars on the internet. I have done several crazy jobs and received peanuts called salary until I asked God for direction and He came to my rescue. I worked in a place where the owner of the company treated everyone like shit. I took the bold step to walk away in 2017 despite having nothing to fall back on. A couple of months ago he called as was Like "Can you please come back, I will increase your salary and pay you guys regularly. I asked him a simple question. Sir, can you pay me up to N500,000 a month? He was proposing N80,000 a month from 60k which he was paying but not regular. I told him, sir, you can't pay me.

Today, I earn over N300,000 a month from the comfort of my home. I am not cut out for 8am - 5pm jobs God forbid. Folks no need to search for jobs, you can make it on the internet without defrauding anyone. All I do is write books and publish on Amazon. All the materials you need to write on any topic is on Youtube, stop the laziness and get your butts down to work. Serve no master. The problem with our so-called graduates is lack of research and laziness. They don't have the energy to research on what will put food on their table. I will never search for a job any day any time. Targeting N1,000,000 a month from book sales before June 2019. Will be spreading my tentacles to Amazon FBA very soon. By The end of 2019, i should average N5,000,000 per month by God's Grace. The millions is in your laptop connected to the internet.

PS: Nobody should PM for any tutorial or guide. I won't respond. All you need is on youtube and the internet, Take your time say one month to research and you will be glad you did. Convert Youtube Videos into books and sell on Amazon.

Final comment: Any computer scientist looking for a job in this era of ICT is a fool.

Attached is my sales report for last month.

Another name for life after NYSC is " Real World".... Nothing good like skills acquisitions.. acquired diff skills and leverage on it.. always having this at back of your mind... "" LOOK FOR PEOPLE PROBLEM AND FIND A WAY TO SOLVE IT""

Find strong rope , hang urself (joke) Me, I applied almost throughout a year no show. I grabbed a teaching job to survive while I still search for greener pasture. Am saving gradually to establish a micro biz. Hopefully we are getting there. Slow and steady. Never give up. Resist the temptation of feeling comfortable at home. Stoop to conquer
