Hi guys!

So I feel like there's a lot of information about financing the blocked account for the visa application and early stay, however there's little or nothing concerning the financial documentation for residence permit application or extension if the program lasts longer than the time frame given during the original residence permit application.

It'll really be great to have clarification on this.

For residence permit, you will still show the confirmation of your BA or proof of finance applicable. For extension of residence permit after one year of study, you will need to show another blocked acct though it depends on each city, some will ask for half of the normal BA. In a city like Hannover, Hannover gives 2 years residence permit straight up, meaning you dont have to show any proof of finance for the second year till you finish your Msc study. But for a city like Gottingen, they issue 1 year RP, so for the second year, you have to show another proof. For the extension of Residence permit, e.g after your studies, and you want to extend residence permit for job search (18 months), you will need to block your account again with euros or proof of employment or other proofs applicable!! The amount requested or proofs of finance needed depends on the city/town. For extension of RP if the program last longer than normal which is unusual, you will need to show proof of finance or BA that covers the remaining period of the program. I hope all these helps, I don answer questions Wey you noh ask sef smiley

Greetings guys.. I have really been stressed out looking for a place to certify my documents in Lagos preferably, somewhere in Island.

Please, if there are suggestions, kindly let me know and the cost implication.

Bro if you on the island, just use the German embassy at Walter Carrington, You can certify 5 sets of documents for free, meaning even if one set of your docs consist 20 docs/papers, they will certify it... all for free. Book appointment online, go there with your docs, when the person certifying calls you, he/she will cross check your docs (there is a format for arrangement on the German embassy website), compare originals to photocopies, stamp and staple, they will ask you to wait for 1 hour for collection. Shikena. Note that you can't take your bag inside, only your docs and phone can near the embassy. If you with bag, you have to drop it at the market (1k)... so my advise, just use "my clear bag" pack your docs and put am for cool nylon.

Yes you can tell them..but the blunt truth is you wouldnt be granted admission.. Cause this same result is what uniassist would still forward to the school..Miracle they say happens tho

I think its best you just register for noun here in Nigeria, get their 100level transcript, write ielts and apply for bsc. If u start today you might still meet up with winter or definitely next summer

Pls check pm

There is no specific directives on what to fill with. You can fill with hand or fill with Adobe acrobat reader but you must sign with hand and not electronically. On the last part, The date must be the date of your interview and the place must be where your interview is holding... Lagos or Abuja. Print the 2 visa forms... no photocopies

Uni assist just sent me a mail saying 'Uni Wuppertal - Master an Universitäten - Ap. Eco.+Int. Eco. Policy
We regret to inform you that your application could not yet be forwarded to the university you
applied to.
Reason(s):
With your academic qualifications you are not eligible for entry to a masters degree programme
in Germany.
We have contacted the Central Office for Foreign Education in Germany (ZAB).
Unfortunately the Houdegbe North American University in Benin is not an accredited
institution and any degrees from this university cannot be seen as equivalent to a German
degree.

uni-assist has carried out the pre-check of your documents with the greatest care and accuracy.

This is a unique situation. Right off the bat, I will tell you to note the bold statements above. Those are your key points!

The Central Office for Foreign Education in Germany (ZAB) is the central authority for the evaluation of foreign qualifications in Germany and therefore keep a record of all accredited universities worldwide (or at least can verify status easily). Since Uni-assist contacted them to verify the school and their response was negative, moving forward with the application without additional proof of validity of the university will be in vain!

I just did a simple search and can already see that the university isn't accredited by NUC. This is despite the fact that it is on their accredited list on Wikipedia (we know that can be edited by anyone though).

https://nuc.edu.ng/nigerian-univerisities/private-univeristies/

I also saw that the school has roots from Benin Republic (Cotonou) and a search on the website of the regulatory body didn't yield any result. https://enseignementsuperieur.gouv.bj/htdocs/enssup/universites/

The reason I went through this is because you would have to provide proof that the university is truly accredited and these bodies are your best bet in proving that.

Follow the advice someone dropped here and try to get a 1st year result from NOUN, then push again....

Or pray the school gets its accreditation in order.

All the best!

I think school bags and other small sized bags are allowed into the embassy.

Any one with a contrasting experience should enlighten us please. I think those business men at the gate collecting 1k for safe keeping should serve those who came with travel bags grin

Lots of information here bro, appreciate it, I would like to know if you can offer some suggestion here:

I am interested in enrolling for a short course in a german institution, one of the requirements for international students is that the student shows a proof of fund of about 30,000 euros, My question now is this, how exactly does proof of funds work? Do I need to have this balance in my account and show them my account statement? if yes for how long would this amount have to be in my account? or can I use a sponsor's account / account statement ? or are there other ways to go about this? Anyone with some experience on how this works, please share some information. Thanks

I saw something here that helped me I would also love to share

It's for newbies Tho

Instead of asking stale questions Go to part 3 and read the last 50 pages I believe you go dey alright

This thread needs more people already in DE to help us out in terms of life there, what to look out for, accommodation tips, Job tips and more of hook ups and so on I believe every normal person here that can read and understand who can overcome laziness too shouldn't be asking some irrelevant questions again just go through those pages

I am suggesting that these basic procedures from admission application to porting should be written down step by step and posted at the beginning of each page for clarity swiftness

Please this is a no-brainer. Dont pay any agent for anything...
Correct me if need be though

ANY ANSU STUDENT HERE? LET'S HOOK UP
please I would have loved to see this, but when I checked the link of thread 4 which is at the beginning of this trend they said it was locked that I should go back. pls is there any other way I can get to thread 3?
