According to Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmed, President Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen and appointed Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.

JUST IN: President @MBuhari suspends the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen and appoints Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.

The suspension was based on the order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

Did Onnoghen think postponing NJC meeting indefinitely would have ended it.?

And most people don't understand the absolute powers the 1999 Constitution confers on anyone that happens to be the PRN , if they did, this would not have come as any surprise....

It’s game over for Onnoghen. This is what happens when corrupt and partisan judges populate the bench. He can now go and register officially as a PDP member. Better still, he can open a law firm and represent Wike in all his legal battles. Good riddance to a nonsense jurist.

President @MBuhari suspends the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen and appoints Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.

The suspension was based on the order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

When the superior court of appeal have restrained the CCT to stay away from any judicial proceeding on the CJN This is utter anarchy, overt impunity & demonstration of total desperation by the president & the feudal cabal.

Buhari still confirming he is bigot, tyrannt, ethnic supremacist, anti-democratic and an intolerant president not fit for a 21st.century civilization

The CJN must only be sack by the president on recommendation of the NJC.Anarchy would break out in Nigeria.Buhari is a tyrannt.
