ndidigood:Really....I can sell and use the proceeds immediately for share purchase with Meristem. If I want to withdraw cash however I have to wait for T+3. |

TLAX:Exactly! , I was surprised when I saw that comment . But since I don’t use meristem ,I just scrolled pass . Even investment one that doesn’t allow trading by oneself , I sold shares before and used the proceeds to buy another one the same day . |

So Ogg you spoke with those 2 VIP in Morgan Capital and you do not think it’s important to ask them why they are still using a weak bank for their client account ? Ok oo Me go leave them not because of any increase but for this reason ^ |

Yayira:I think a commendation for the 1st line of effort I put should've preceded this ur concern. Dont forget that I've got nothing to lose or gain from all of this.(was just looking out for us) That said, thanks for the reminder. ...will try to revert back to them over that, and get back to the house in due course. I guess I was just engrossed with the discuss over the expected increment in brokerage commission. ...which was of a greater concern before now. On a side note, my effort like I said before was ONLY driven by the quest to want the best for all of us. ...and my view of things was borne out of been honest, unbiased and objective. However, ANYONE who still feels it serves them best to leave the firm, should never hesitate to do so. Onegentleguy is NOT a staff of Morgan Capital neither does he have any link with them. Regards. |

Thanks Oga Onegentleguy for finding the time to get our concern to them and feeding us back. I was personally so pained that Morgan could have increased the charge but they chose the next day the house had a heavy discussion on how cheap their rates was to increase it. The discussions was to be a plus for them because any new person would have been interested in them so also are other people using other brokers who would come across the discussion. One would think the alacrity which they used in increasing that would have been used for their other areas of mess ups too like.. Severally they has been discussions how bad their customer service was and the speed to fix it was not that fast.. Severally people complained on the psychologically unfit bank they use here.. There are yet to do anything about it. Even though you have all your data with them at the time of opening the account, if someone deposit money in that sky/polarise you will have to support your mail with calls before your account is credited which is an additional expenses. For the only one withdrawal I have done with them so far which was in 2018. Which was to be urgent took more than three days because they asked me to send almost all the documents I already sent when opening the account and I was no where close to the documents that day. Though It is actually their prerogative so I believe if I can't cope I would find a way. Yes Morgan is cheap but if you leave money in Morgan even if you do not transact in a year you would be charged N2500 for operating an account.. sometimes even when your account is empty it would be put in debit by their charge meanwhile my other broker gives monthly interest for money unused in your account .. Money left in brokerage account is credited with interests you are not charged anything for operating an account with them. |

freeman67:U are welcome Sir !! I will also try to engage them on the concerns bordering around the parts u mentioned in bold, and in due course revert back to the house. Cheers. |

Yayira:Apologies accepted. ...didn't feel much need for it though. However, because its also a pivotal line(together with the point raised by Sir freeman67), I will still go ahead with a revert to them. At least for others and my humble self.(I also operate an a/c with them) Like I said, I only had to discuss the concerns which where of immediate worry at the time. But then again, u are very free to disengage with them if u so desire. ...that shouldn't be of any concern to me my dear. We all should tour the line of what's best for us. Regards. |

Mcy56:There are disadvantages too especially if you are a dividend hunter....The disadvantage is you will forfeit dividend and bonus that may accrue to you if it were a well to do stock.........I still have some unclaimed dividend and bonus but cant access them because I did not do paper work involved during trading frenzy.....So you see you cant eat your cake and have it, Most stocks traded on NSE by volume are dividend stocks |

THOUGH no broker or even nse is yet to offer real time online trading, the charges by the different brokerage houses are still fair in Nigeria compared to other regions.. |

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 28 JANUARY 2019 MSCI Nigeria on Friday neither bought nor sold anything from their portfolio. The week was bullish just like the previous week, with the All Share index for the week standing at 1.36%, lower than the 3.94% gain for the previous week. Earnings expectation is driving the market, but the bulls look not too strong with the percentage gained this week, still not yet time for celebration. The daily chart is currently showing that the bulls are trespassing on the land of the bears, all things being equal some reaction is expected, the best that can probably happen is for the market to go back to the trading range. For this week, we should be on the defensive, the earnings season is likely to lead to some price increases that may not be supported in the medium term, and sticking to fundamentally sound stock is important. NSE All Share loss for 2019 now 0.01%, it is like the market is starting on a clean slate again for the year. For Monday 28 January 2019 projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 31576.21 Low at 31129.47 See the update on our list of selected stock for Subscribers with updates from time to time. First revelation of our merger candidate is out (information for subscribers only). We should start buying little by little, risk is small (company is still profitable with positive reserve and at good support point). Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. maishai:does it mean that if you purchase your stocks online, you wouldn't get dividends from them? I have been having this problem. When I dematerialized my shares they stopped paying me dividends. I have been receiving dividends from the said shares, but after opening an account with a brokage firm and also dematerializing my shares, they stopped paying me dividends. Pls house, what should do again? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Chibuking81(m): 7:14am On Jan 28, 2019 |
maishai:I uses CSL stockbrokers, they function too like Morgan, they are in real time online trading. You can sell and buy back immediately. You will see bid/offer price and quantity. Since Morgan will be increasing their % charge, they will be some how close to CSL, if not the same for those who negotiate with CSL and those who buy in large volume. But for their general customers the total is 3% in both buying and selling, ( buying is around 1.45% and selling is around 1.55%) CSL is subsidiary of FCMB, and uses FCMB for their transaction. I will paste the screenshot sample of CSL real time online trading during the market session today. |

maishai:That's not true oga. It's either you did something wrongly or you did not fill and submit your e-dividend form. You dividend goes into your bank account and not to trading account. If its bonus, it will be automatically added to your portfolio once its payment date. Please check well and know where the issue is coming from. |

The concern of Morgans operational bank A/C as raised by @ Yayira has just been addressed. The MD/CEO has just informed me that there are plans in place to open up an alternative bank A/C for those who might not be comfortable with Polaris(formerly Skye bank). ...that A/C shall be ZENITH BANK. According to him, the process to have that in place is already in motion and should be finalized in a space of a few weeks or even less !! On the concern of the N2500 yearly charge as raised by Sir Freeman67, I shall also put out a call to try and get the needed feedback from them and revert back to the house. Had to quickly get busy on other matters. Regards. |
