Statistically enlightening. I believe he needs to understand that most setups outside Africa are merit-based. Until "Federal Character" becomes merit-based, truthfully identifying problems will appear an impossible leap. |

porka:I was really hoping to learn how he was helping in our development.... what impact his return was making on the society. Nothing will change in this society unless the masses rise up and demand the FG do what they are supposed to be doing. University students are almost always the ones to lead such protests and demands....but..... no backbone. Return home to do what? |

In retrospect, this is the kind of stories our Newspapers and Magazines should be publishing . There is nothing bad in traveling or living in Europe and other white nations. However, Nigerians need to be told what is actually going on in Europe and North America. Asia is a kettle of fish altogether, so I won't dwell much on that side of the World. I can assure you that this guy will be more useful to himself and the society in Nigeria. Perception is different from Reality. Do you know how it feels like when you know you are not really part of the Society you live in? Yes, you have a EU passport, UK Passport etc but you just always feel something is not right about your circumstances or the life you are living in Europe. You have do some things just to fit in in the white man's world . Sometimes, when you are not married, you have to release yourself and make yourself available to all kinds of sexual advances just to fit in at work. Is somebody out there feeling me? There are things we can learn from European Societies and adapt those things back home in Africa and Nigeria. Yes, Nigeria can be frustrating and we have all kinds of problems. Yes, our leaders are not doing what they should do and we don't have enough infrastructure. But tell me, where do you feel free 100%? In Nigeria or in Europe? In Nigeria or in North America? Do you know the owners of Wilson's Juice in Nigeria? Seun and Seyi Abolaji returned to Nigeria after 20 years living in the USA. Their Lemonade Juice business is doing well in Nigeria. What do you think prompted these brothers to return to Nigeria? I don't want to say too much here, but Kester Audu will do well in Nigeria in whatever he decides to do with what he has learnt in Germany. The Nigerian Media does not report on people who returned from the white man's lands and who are doing well back home. We only read stories about the journeymen and women who were deported If you are able to travel to Europe and North America, please tell us about the real situation of things there. Both the Positives and Negatives. Thanks. |

This should be a pointer that the international community is also deceptive in their quest to manipulate Africans for recolonization! many have written Nigerian off but with good governance we can change the narrative. Those foreign countries hate corruption as we love them here from Local government to Legislatures and other aspects of government thereby killing the future development.we must change our mentality and brace up to build our country as no foreigners will do it for us.God bless Nigeria and Nigerians. |

[quote author=porka post=75180573]What is the essence of this interview now, ehn? When will Africans stop going to Europe and America to marvel at buildings and edifices? How is this man's acquired cerificate going to be of help to himself, family and country? What was his major findings in his research that will benefit Africans apart from just talking about social challenges? Did he just spend 14 months to study his fellow African's lifestyle? What is the usefulness of his paper certification now, ehn? Where will you use this particular knowledge you just acquired? What is the relevance of the knowledge? How do you want to intervene? It's high time people focussed on specific solutions they want to proffer with their education and play down the culture shock and mighty buildings tales. It is not helping Africa. The training you received is for a purpose. What is it? Definitely not to tell us how beautiful Frankfort airport is. Ok, you have told us what you think government should do, how are they going to do it? Someone gave a similar advice before you and government has not listen, we've been hearing of this type government should do this and that since 1900 without anyone listening, is this one going to be different? In specific terms, how is your knowledge going to affect the society positively? Now that you are here what are we to expect from you? Do you want to join the government? At what level: municipal, state or federal? Will it require a bill at the state or national level? What level of funding are you looking at? How do you raise it? Do you want to establish a business? What gap do want to fill? Can you do it alone? Tell us what we have not heard before. /quote]The title and purpose of the article is his experience in germany |

Life in Germany for Nigerians depend on how rich your family is. Politicians children that is stealing Nigeria money na their children dey go Germany run come back dey write this epistle. Person wey run commot for Naija because work no dey will now go to germany and start coming back. As a student in Germany you can sort out your family issues and stand your brothers and sisters, atleast you can take your family back home out of poverty. Most Nigerian student are hustlers in Germany because they borrowed the money they used to come to Germany for studies, some stay as student for 10 years, marry inside and have children. For those from less rich family it is far better for them. |

lovelygurl:I kind of doubt that. Europeans more especially Westerner Europeans travel a lot, and most of them have a fair idea of Africa. Because they have been there multiple times on holiday. Yes it might be common to hear that in state but not so common in Europe. Source I have been living here for years went to school with multiple of them. Have more European friends than black here. Been to their countries and seen their relatives. So it is either I meet the exposed one that colored my position on this issues or that Audu met the unexposed ones that biased his position on this. What thing I know for sure is that they know that African is not one country but what they don't know is that we have many cultures and several languages more than they had imagine. Which is different from saying it is one country. |
| Re: My Experience In Germany As A Foreign Student by naunasabi: 7:14am On Jan 28, 2019 |
Odingo1:Brother that is the simple truth. The Audu guy is a privilege kid he should enjoy his privileges in Nigeria and keep his long story to himself. |

ValCon888:As odd as it sounds, I don't believe blacks should complain about racism. That's, it's hypocritical for a black person to accuse an individual(s) or societies of different races of racism. |

RealityShot:If you have a better life in Nigeria, no need for you to travel out, Germany is meant for those who have suffered terrible after graduation with many years of no work, in Germany as a student you can make 10,000€ in a year after working like donkey in a very physical challenging job(not a child play work) then payback your debt and continue hustling and going to school small small. |

inspiration101:He captured it all. We had a good argument in an event in Viadrina, Brandenburg. This argument later became a slogan "Africa is not a country". Sadly, my brothers (African and particularly Nigerians) back home took it up against me and rather criticised and booed me for "neglecting" my motherland. I was quoted to say my slogan "Africa is not a country" posted on my social media accounts suggested that as I went "abroad" Africa became "shit" to me. They expressed much disappointment. Up till this moment, some are not in talking terms with me o. Cuz of that lone issue. There is nothing new in the experience shared above. He is apt. You make some cash that goes back to the system. I've seen lots of Africans who say they've been there for over 8 years. Yet nothing to show. Scattered hairs in the band of fashion, expensive necklace that sits in doubt and with an expensive chain wristwatch that hangs as shackles... Just a few are OK. Others keep on doing assorted degrees that they don't work with. The essence, to keep their stay legally elongated. German babes become an issue of interest for the males, while German guys are targeted by the females. |

JaceBlaze:The Jews were/are selfish. They get to a place, marry, born and colonise the region. Only them do one type of business, jewelry. Nobody else can compete. They kind of exclude others from their circle. This why the Germans hate them . Its like the kind of thing some Igbo people do. |

I stopped reading at "what our government can do" Don't involve Nigerian government in any plan or suggestion except you want it to fail. |
