This same scenario played out in FCMB pre-Q3 results. I thought people should have been wiser in this market by now.

When u see a 'wide gap' in VALUE too big for the current price of a FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND coy, RUN IN and ask questions later !! This is a very pivotal criterion for both VALUE and GROWTH investing.
NOTHING beats a great 'gap' between inherent VALUE and price.
...this is KEY.

sure it a cross cos it was not reflected on the bid and offer before then

using this opportunity again to thank you all on this forum that made me to know i can trade myself if not i would not have gone out of uba as the whole thing is falling, would be hanging on my broker till i loose all. imagin how much i would i loose now if i was unable to back out at 7 naira. I can go back at a lower price now. Thank u all

im sure some news is coming into the market soon (cld be positive / negative)

how d price behave 2moro cld b an insight to the direction of the news but todays price action doesnt portend positive (in fxuser voice high volume mixed with deep drawdown in price) though if it close above wavg for d day cld signal shakeout as posit by CP

That volume is scary for an end of month thing particularly when the monthend is not major (quarter/biannual/annual) plus most of the transactions were at the retail end (only one cross which is dat 50m). i pray u a right anyway

in the next few weeks, there would be election. More opportunity still abound

There are basic points derivable from what you have all postulated about the stock market. But, my point is that we should be mindful that the earnings period for most stock is around the corner, that is why prices are not falling lower than chibuking81's expectation. But then, I forsee those foreign investors who are yet to bail out, using the opportunity to exit the stock market ahead of the election.

Therefore, I still forsee prices getting lower for most stocks, not now, but majorly in february. Surely, their will be huge capital appreciation months after the election.

The bolded was my comment some 12 days ago. There is nothing wrong with UBA but the bolded. The scenario will play out in other stocks as well.

The market slumped today but Sterling Bank got stronger. What is happening in Sterling Bank can only be explained by insiders.
I am sure @Currentprice will tell us it is overpriced.

I believe the sell pressure on UBA could have been precipitated by 2 things; 1. FPI wanting to exit the market at all cost. 2. A really bad news is on the way. If it is 1, then we are safe but if it is 2, expect a further decline.
