Range Rover Evoque is a beautiful car with power for its size but problematic if left to be serviced by those that don't have the right softwares for the car. Upgrade the software and use the right oil or the engine will knock. The oil recommended is Castrol 5w30 and I prefer the extended performance variant. A 2016 Evoque had an engine issue last year on his way to the village and he was given a bill of 9m for a new engine. Christmas season is here and we enjoin every owner to put their car in order to get the maximum performance on the road.

Low coolant level?
Engine knock

Is this not the same Evoque with Ford's ecoboost engine.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Land-Rover-Range-Rover-Evoque-2-0L-Engine-4cyl-OEM-35K-Miles-LKQ-198363056/312343016598?hash=item48b9183496:g:38sAAOSwUVFb~0Mi

Landing this engine from obodo oyinbo with less than 40k miles is not more than 2m.

Will be cheaper if bought from salvages like ladipo our brothers.

Why 9m angry
Educate me sir

Might be the quote from Coscharis....

However that seller doesn't have an evoque engine, shelf is full of V8 & V6 engines.

And even on the Ford Escape, those engines are shit.

Are you saying he doesn't have the evoque engine by the pictures on listing page or you've been to the sellers shelve? grin
Either way .
Lots of evoque engines in the usa is less than 5k with low mile and warrant .

Ford engine is poo or not if land rover puts it in their line up that's their business for not duing proper research.

The ecoboost is a Good engine.
From the 2.0
Up to their v6 in the mustang in the taurus , Raptor e.t.c

The 2.0 is a small engine .
If it has internal issues it will be difficult to handle because its very advanced and there are lots of components in it to give it that horsepower and efficiency. Not many quacks will be able to handle them.

If its cosharis quoting 9m (25k usd) , i don't know why one would put a new engine in a vehicle bought as toks lol.
Because if it was bought brand new from them then they should be handling the repairs so any damage shouldn't be as a result of bad maintenance .

The 9m 25k (usd) will buy another 2016 evoque excluding duty.

Tried buying from him before but didnt pan out... Ebay isnt the best place to buy engines self.

https://www.amazon.com/Ford-Racing-M-6007-20T-EcoBoost-Engine/dp/B00DU01T7A

Found this and changing a few things will make it fit.

The previous 2.0L engine that started being used in the 2012 LR2 was also fitted to the Evoque.

It was a 2016 evoque and the incident occurred last year December and it was coscharis that gave the owner the bill. And they were the one that serviced the car. The engine on Ford is better than in Range Rover especially the issues with the 2012 and 2013 models. Restricted performance is number one sign of trouble brewing and most owners don't care about the oil like the one I saw in Kano. It was too sluggish and by the time we checked, the sludge was making the oil pump pressure to be too low. We are fixing the car as we speak trying to remove the sludge first before other things like air filter which was very dirty.

Engine without the accessories is 1.6m at Ladipo if you get a good one but a 2016 car with a damaged engine in 2017 is a brand new car and probably they don't want to accept the warranty on the car. Evoque is not friendly with the rain especially 2012 and 13

People are now driving the latest Range Rover Sport and I am one of those who are happy that the brand has come to stay. But I just found out that majority of the brand on the road are diesel. Awhh. Diesel Range Rover Sport are now a common sight but every owner must be careful. Boost the diesel with cetane booster and diesel fuel injector cleaner at all times to prevent expensive repairs. A nozzle costs over 120k when the dirty diesel in the country begins to manifest. Prevention is better than cure

For those that are using the latest models of diesel cars that requires Adblue additives, we have the Adblue in stock to ensure that the car is in top shape.

That is the misconception about the suspension issues. Yes it is there but it can be fixed with little effort and little money. Mine have been on the road for 5 years now and I have only changed one air suspension for just N60,000. But I have changed the lower and upper arms on many occasions because I travel on many occasions with the Jeep. On many occasions, I spend N12000 for fuel from Lagos to Abuja and when you are on a long journey, to stop and refresh yourself is very difficult. I just dont want to end the thrill, wanting it to continue. We, my outfit, now fix suspensions on Range Rovers without stress. Most of the time, the jeep needs calibration of the suspensions and that is all that needs to be done but many people just assume that it is the air suspension that is faulty whereas the Jeep suspension height is inaccurate. There is nothing to fear about the suspension or about the repairs, the technology is affordable and it is everywhere. We tend to believe that it is only Coscharis that can fix the Jeep meanwhile the same Coscharis is finding it difficult to fix the problems on the Jeep. They dont repair anything but they change the parts only. There was an Auto Dealer in Lekki that changed the brake pads of someone's Sport for N120,000 whereas the same pads front and back with sensors is not more than N30,000. They changed the A/C system for N400,000 and the A/c lasted for two weeks. It took them 3 months to fix the A/c whereas a simple change of a used compressor for N30,000 will put the A/c in a new cooling condition. Height sensors never go bad inspite of the fragile state of the sensors. There is a Britparts dealer in Lagos that sells the original parts for a fraction of what Coscharis will sell the parts to you. The only problem with the Jeep is when the warning sign of engine performance reduced comes up, it means our regular unleaded fuel is taking a toll on the engine. But there are also solutions too until Dangote's refinery comes on board. Use Octane Boosters. If you have a supercharged, use octane booster at all times or you will be spending money left and right to solve an easy problem. We just fixed the active rolling pump on a supercharged in Abuja. It is the dynamic response of the Jeep and it cost a lot of money. The used engine of a supercharged cost N1.3m if you can get a good one but the engine is built to last. Following the routine maintenance matters a lot. For example, the oil requirement is 5W30 and people use Mobil 1 which is 0W40 and they still find sludge in their engines. Why? Because the oil requirement is not Mobil 1 when it is in Nigeria but Total Q9000, AP Syn and Oando Syn. They are all 5W40 and they are very good. Coscharis once complained to me during an interactive session that they use Mobil 1 on their BMWs because there is no Castrol oil here in Nigeria and they still find sludge in the 3 and 5 series. That was in 2005 and presently we dont know the current situation. The transmission fluid is portrayed as a lifetime fluid but I disagree when it comes to Nigeria. I have been changing the transmission fluid in my Sport for the past 3 years at every 15,000miles and the gear is still much in pristine form. Go get yours and enjoy the benefits the Jeep offers. Many owners dont use coolant or they use coolans not suitable for their Jeep and then the overheating comes to play. Welcome to the Club
