Atiku's supporters are becoming tepid reality is slowly downing on them hence the need to induce defensive mechanisms as shown by nonsensical, puerile, acerbic and uninformed comments on the person of President Buhari. mind you it's practically impossible for atiku to win this election as things stands now the north east where he is from, will be comfortably won by buhari. For us in the ABM we are not bothered as this election is a stroll in the pack. an election were one is sure of victory in four out of six geopolitical zones is not an election, it is an attestation. so we advise idle minds to go find something to do instead of wasting precious time on the internet defending a man who openly bribed delegates in glare of the public, five thousand dollars per head to secure his parties nomination. hypocritical attacks on the internet would do little to affect the outcome of this election as majority of those who will cast their votes on election day are farmers, peasants and rural dwellers who obviously are the biggest beneficiaries of this administrations agricultural revolution particularly in the area of local rice production, the country now saves about five million dollars daily, these funds no doubt are now domiciled in the pockets of those in the agricultural sector as many have been catapulted from barefoot peasantry to instant millionaires. It's obvious the superfluous shenanigans currently making waves in the internet by PDP apologist perhaps still recovering from the 2015, depilating heart wrenching defeat with the nexus of post calamity depression are out online in desperate bids to redouble their efforts in other to prevent another emotional calamity akin to double jeopardy We advise that Nigerians do away with hate, it obscures the mind and create room for pathological irrationality. perhaps deliberate scandefreud is being deliberately dished out by the PDP in a bid to hold spell bound an army of believers and creates the false impression of rigging in view of the present political reality of defeat, which presently has induced a hush of mad desperation God willing, this country will move to the next level and it is our prayer that the destructive puerile machinations of corruption and those steering its wheel wherever they are, either in the PDP or APC will nose dive to the abyss of political oblivion and incapacitative irrelevance. Comrade Wilfred, President ABM |

blackboy:I will be very honest with you the chances for an Atiku win are not as dim as they look or are as buoyant for Buhari The Northerners voted passionately for Buhari in 2015 coming out in record numbers (don't forget child voting was also involved). A lot of that passion is gone as he didn't deliver the goods but rather the opposite to a large extentv Rather than 3m jobs yearly 11m lost their jobs. Prices of goods have almost doubled and things are hard. Truth is that he has lost a lot of goodwill and I doubt anything close to the record turnout he experienced in 2015 will occur this time. Also in a recent election held in the North, there was zero room for underaged voters). This 2 issues alone will lead to the loss of close to a million votes if not more Another is that whether we like it or not Atiku has made inroads in the North so he is going to get lots of votes in the North. These votes may not mean a win for him there but will greatly improve his chances of victory. In a place like Kaduna the divisive Elrufai will help Atiku garner massive votes. In the Middle Belt Atiku, will probably grab all (Benue may be a holdout because of Ortoms performance). Yorubaland seems to be Buhari's. Buhari's infrastructure projects have won the hearts of many Yoruba's and they like his principled nature. Also Atiku campaign here was weak. Yoruba's need to be convinced he'll perform but many see him as very corrupt and many equate it with poor governance and regression. For the South South and South East they are basically Atiku's The only way Atiku can win is if voters turnout in key Buhari's states is much lower and child voting stamped out coupled with him capturing lots of votes there will help determined whether he'll win. A clear win is assured however if he can win some key Buhari strongholds in the North (this may be a stretch) as well or if voters turnout in the Southeast and Southsouth are larger than usual. |

for those already enmeshed in the pool of ecstasy and hypnotic delirium as a result of this fake news. sorry to disappoint you, here is the real story. The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has described the recent “endorsement” by The Economist of London, of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, party, Muhammadu Buhari, in the coming election as scandalous and partisan. In one of its recent reports, The Economist of London had predicted that President Muhammadu Buhari will win next year’s election. According to The Economist in its latest edition, “The World in 2019”, there is little hope that Islamist insurgency in the Northeast will end. In a country appraisal for Nigeria under “The world in numbers”, the magazine said: “The president, Muhammadu Buhari, will win re-election in February, as a new opposition coalition may collapse before the vote. However, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communication , Mr. Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described “as a poorly-executed hatchet job, the prediction by The Economist of London, in which the magazine put on the garb of a partisan and made no pretenses to professionalism while predicting that President Muhammadu Buhari will win next year’s poll.” He said, on Monday, that “with the tacit endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term, in its current edition, the erstwhile influential news magazine has hit a new low by throwing all pretenses to the wind to take up the job of presidential spokespersons.” “It is common knowledge that the Economist’s fortunes have taken a nosedive in recent months with its flip- flop on issues especially as it pertains the upcoming presidential election in Nigeria. But the magazine hit a new low in its current edition, ‘The World in 2019,’ where it made projections of issues and events that will shape the year 2019 across many countries including Nigeria,” Shaibu said “even if the All Progressives Congress (APC) or President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokespersons had written that story, it could not have been so recklessly partisan and so devoid of any shred of professionalism.” According to him, “the so-called story which says, ‘the president, Muhammadu Buhari, will win re-election in February, as a new opposition coalition may collapse before the vote’ fails to meet the attributes of objectivity, balance and fairness.” The Atiku spokesperson said “it was scandalous that the magazine went ahead to predict a victory for the APC candidate even when it said a Buhari’s second coming portends disaster for Nigeria.” |

AbleGod32123:Imagine your daughter brings a man home and says this is the man she wants to marry. This man is well dressed in a gucci designer suit with a gold rolex and drives a very expensive benz. He smells of wealth. You learn he has a house in Lagos Abuja and London. Your wife is impressed and feels your daughter has found her future husband You on the other hand decide to interview the young man. You want to know what he does for a living. You want to know if he from a family with a good name. You want to know if he has respect and manners. You want to know if he will treat your daughter with respect? Which of you have the correct view? Your wife or you? That is the choice facing voters today Buhari has impressed with lots of infrastructure works people can see. Based on these they believe he is doing an excellent job Then you have the other side who believe he has falied. They look at the poor state of the economy ( It has barely grown an average of 1% a year if cumulated) upon assuming office compared to 6% it averaged since 1999. The Abacha years were even much better. 11m jobs have been lost rather than the 3m jobs a year he promised to create. Public debt has gone from 12% of GDP in 2015 to 22% of GDP today. The poor state of the economy as Sanusi will tell you is largely Buhari's fault. So a set of voters are influenced by the projects he has done and feel he is performing Others look at the squalid state of the economy and feel he has failed and are cocksure things can't get any better. The country needs to grow at 7% to create enough jobs for those entering the labour force yearly. 1% or even 2% yearly growth rate is far from reaching that. Buhari upon assumption of office introduced some economic policies which Sanusi and other prominent Nigeria economist condemned. Sanusi a fellow Fulani was virulent in his attacks of those policies. He even urged his ministers to talk truth to power. Even I knew those policies would sink the economy. Another 4 years of Buhari will lead to debt reaching at least 30% of GDP. It is unsustainable! A lot of those infrastructure projects are debt financed. The poor growth rate will increase the level of destitution. Buhari is honest but he is an economic illiterate Atiku may be corrupt but he speaks good economics and that is what the country urgently needs now. And for your information countries can still grow fast despite high levels of corruption. From 1999 to 2013, the economy grew on the average of 6.7% yearly and GDP doubled despite high levels of corruption Atiku's plan to cut company tax to the lowest in Africa and to end multiple exchange rates will lift growths to 7% yearly. Further reforms will push it to 8-10% yearly. It was Jonathan's reckless profligacy unlike OBJ's prudence that was the issue. I am neither PDP or APC. I am just saying things as they are |

AbleGod32123:Also the APC leads in the states you mentioned will be whittled down. People are not as crazy as they were once for him. Also there are many closet Atiku supporters who refuse to identify with him openly but the ballot will show their true colours. People may be embarrased or timid to associate their votes with Atiku now for fear of reproach or mockery or even being ostracized. |
