Na so i handle the tecno camon 11 pro today, the screen alone is a turn off as i saw pixels comparing with my xaiomi redmi 5 plus(which doesnt pixelate). I had to google the specs as i saw mtk helio p22. Na so i con ask the guy how much he bought it. He mentioned say na 76k. I opened my mouth. In ma mind, dis mumu guy don get good phone be that o. I checked the camera. Mehn d device is overhyped. I compared the camera with my gcam installed on my redmi5plus. The camon camera is oversaturated.
In short, i compare the multitasking, despite my device having 3gb of ram. It still beat the camon.
Wish i had money like my guy would have gone for redmi note 6 pro.

Come up with concrete reasons why people should not use the phones yoi mention.. Not story about someone who could not maintain a simple phone.. How can someone put IcE cream and phone together.. What is she thinking... Even water resistant phones has flaws... Nothing last forever

All these stunts just to put Tecno, infinix etc down...why ur BP dey rise up anytime dey hear tecno etc. Mind you they re mid-range phones and people can afford it not like Samsung, Huawei etc. I'm not using tecno etc and there's nothing spectacular in using iPhone, Samsung etc we browse the same net, open the same page etc. so stop confusing people in whatever they prefer to buy and you can't tell them not to use any phone.

Anyone that knows his onions would agree tecno & co are substandard phones. But I hear people shouting functionality, multitasking etc upandan. If we take a survey now,both the low& high end phone users don't go past the normal *spectrum* of functions,not for anything spectacular. Una dey use am for programming? Sometimes I shake my head in disbelief when I read posts like this , these tecno /Infinix phones are expensive when you look at what they bring on the table in reference to functionality . Check my other post on this. How can I buy crap ( tecno /Infinix for 50 thousand , while these good companies are selling phones far better than those 50thousand phone's for 30thousand. So please others saying the lowest china phone companies (tecno and Infinix ) are affordable should think twice. A 70thousand naira tecno with all its features is a 50 thousand naira doogee /xiaomi phone . You're being cheated with a wash down phone and its not even cheaper than the better ones

This is the most ridiculous thread I've read this year. Ever since the inception of smartphone, I've used only tecno products and none has failed me till date.

I have used tecno Y6, which served me for 2 years and would have served for more had i not lost it in taxi.

Then i bought a tablet, tecno 7c, Very cheap and it is still around till NOW. No issues whatever. It is close to 2 years now.

Last 6 months, i got Camon x pro and so far, it has been a sweet heart. I enjoy this very phone every passing day without any regret.

When it comes to usage, I'm an intensive user. As long as phone is still on, it never rest. As a blogger, Social media freak, NLer, gamer, you should know the suffering these phones undergo in my hands yet, they still last.

I doubt if i will ever use another brand.. Sometimes, it's better to shove your opinion up your ass. Preferences differ. Know that!

Awoof dey run belle, that's what I know tho. I'll rather pay more to buy an Infinix product because I know there have a working experience centre if anything goes wrong. Carlcare is in Ikeja. Spare parts are readily available.

2 or 3 years ago, I used Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, it was a nice phone but I regret using it. The screen wasn't strong at all. Any slight fall the screen breaks. I will now have to order for the screen from Ali Express which takes about 3 weeks to arrive Nigeria. I even changed my battery twice cos the stuff was inbuilt and the battery became larger than normal ...

I gotta commend the Infinix brand. They are really trying. Shout out to Samsung & Apple as well.

I have been ruggedly using an infinix phone for three years and still hasn't given me problems. A former friend of mine uses Tecno and that phone is solid.

You can say that a gain
You friend experience doesn't necessarily means all the devices are bad.

This post is wrong on many fronts.

First of all, not everyone can afford a Samsung/iPhone.
Secondly, you can try to 'enlighten' without trying to 'rubbish' a particular brand.
Third, most of these devices are low end thus they have a 'target market' which is LARGE.
Fourth, most people know what is BEST but cannot afford it.

I use Apple, Samsung, iTel and Nokia. They have their differences but they help me get my job done...

If you noticed in my title I didn't include Itel devices because they are nothing but power banks with LCD screens, anyways I created a thread on why you should not buy Xiaomi devices so read up on that later.
I could remember when I first purchashed my first smartphone, it was a Samsung Galaxy Pocket, it was small about 4 inches and came pre-installed with Gingerbread (Android 2.3). I was so frigging excited I had a phone that could literally do "everything", I couldn't wait to show it to my friends but when I did they just ignored me like my new phone was trash since most guys were using tecno devices with 5 inch screens and one gigabytes of ram. But I was happy with my device cause it could play most games their phones could play and it managed to pull through in handling apps which shocked both me and my "friends", my point here is despite being a smaller device and slightly out dated software version it still stood a chance with a Tecno device.
I could never understand the frenzy with Tecno and Infinix devices, there was no hype, nothing really significant about them since I've handled some of them but have not really gotten a taste of other Chinese brands but that all changed when my friend's Tecno Y6 got sent to the repair store over seven consecutive times and she had to settle for a OnePlus One since her boyfriend worked with Huawei and had managed to afford the device then. That device was crazy, big, efficient and with one of the best cameras I've ever seen. She never took that one for repair and used it for almost three years before upgrading to higher version, this experience led to me exploring several e-commerce sites and I discovered Aliexpress but that story is for another time.
A similar experience occurred with another friend but this one was her fault she had put her phone in her purse which had ice cream in it, an Infinix device; she had to spend so much repairing it that she gave up on it. They were so many complaints here and there, from charging port to flashing and reflashing.
Tecno sells "affordable" phones that would lead to you having a cardiac arrest, I still don't see the worth in their devices when there are so many better choices out there. Stop praising mediocrity just cause you are ignorant, their phones don't last and back to itel devices; A friend of mine got an Itel S11 or some shiit like that, I swear the camera was impressive like really dope at first but it didn't take up to a month and this "camera phone" started degrading like literally the camera kept getting worse from day to day not to mention the lag he had to suffer.
In conclusion, I would rather get the iPhone clone (Xiaomi) which is popular here than opt for Tecno and their worthless craps.

I always thought my infinix hot 5 is a beast. Strong battery and body, runs the basic apps smoothly including PES 2018. Then PES got upgraded to 2019 switching to unreal engine from havoc, I'm not even worried because all my thinking is the my 2gb ram, 1.3quad processor will handle it. Then, my phone failed me, it can't handle the lowest graphics setting, almost every part of the game is blurry and lags (the phone specs claim 1280p). I can't play PES anymore because I won't enjoy it (being one of the top player in Nigeria and world). Even hot 6 can't handle the game.
Tecno k7 and the mighty k9+ cant handle the game. Surprisingly, tecno k8 plays standard setting of the game (imagine).
Me and my friends play PES 2018 in harmony, then PES 2019 came with unreal engine, and it exposed our phones.
Most of tecno and infinix phones they claim are mid-range are not, they are low range phones with bigger screen and battery.

Huawei y9 is same price with camon 11, there's a comparation video of both on YouTube, Huawei beat it to almost every aspect of the test.

My conclusion, if u are the one that only use basic apps like FB, WhatsApp, Twitter etc, go for tecno or infinix, they won't fail u. If are the one that like running heavy apps, don't go for them, other brands makes far better phones with the same price.

I'm buying another phone now because of PES (and many more fans of PES), and then don't say it's just a game, have been playing it for past two years, I love the game and my phone feels empty without it.

Sure Tecno and Infinix may not be the best phones in the world. But they do one thing right. Their phones are tailored to the needs of the African market. Just take the new Tecno Camon 11 as an example.
