It went great!!
The lady who interviewed me was quite nice, Paulinus was his usual obnoxious self, all in all the interview lasted about 10 minutes.
Here are the questions asked:

2: msc or Bsc?
3: why germany?
4: why not Nigeria?
5: why not us, UK or any English speaking country
6: Why this course?
7: tell me facts about Germany not stories

Hello, it is not as simple as stated in the information document of schools.

Let me assume you are female with kids and are going for M.Sc, asides your blocked account, you will be asked to block half of your BA per child and show plans for accommodation at your destination (so in total your BA plus another half of your BA for each child). If you are male and you are married with kids, you will be told to apply for family reunion when you get to Germany and this requires your wife to get A1 certificate from Geothe while you will be required to show funds enough to cater for their first year (half of BA per child plus full BA for the wife and an appropriate apartment to accommodate them).

If you are going for P.hD, you can apply to move the family at the same time depending on the terms of the P.hD contract. If fully sponsored then they will be issued visa that even allows the wife to work full time.

So yes it is possible but if you look closely, they stated that the right kind of visa must be applied for which is where the cog in the wheel is.

Wish you the best
Thanks for a comprehensive response.

The reason I asked this question is because I don't see myself leaving my family behind.

Having them join after is ok, as long as it doesn't exceed 3months.

I am currently considering the pros and cons of applying for a direct PhD since i hold a Msc degree.

As for funds, I believe I have more than enough to open block accounts for my entire household. If money is the only impediment then I guess I am good to go.

I am currently researching this and I am also grateful for all the contributions here.

Hello everyone.

To my folks that applied to THD for master in Mechatronics...

Note that

1. The cut off is 75%. (I heard in my own time it was much lower and just 350 people from the globe applied and they admitted 100, but not all came through, visa ish and all. But in your set, its 1200+ applicants and they intend admitting just 100).
2. The first batch of admission letters has been sent.
3. Other batches would be sent and wrapped up hopefully this Friday.
4. May the odds be in your favour.

Good luck to those selected

SUMMER SEMESTER 2019

School: Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences

Course: Electronics Engineering

State: North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW)

Town: Lippstadt

Visa interview: 28 December 2018 (used sponsorship letter SL)

Approval mail (A.M): 31 January 2019

Submitted passport and travel insurance: 4 February 2019

DHL picked up my visa and documents from the embassy: 7 February 2019 (I tracked it)

DHL delivered my visa and documents: 8 February 2019

Signed and collected

Moving next week end

Thank you all for your contributions, I really sincerely appreciate

One Love

To God be the glory

God is the greatest

I've been reading this as a guest for a quite a while now and I decided to join today.
I want to expose your fraud.
First of all, the electronic engineering course at Hamm Lippstadt is for the winter semester only, so you can't get visa with this course for the summer semester. I am 100% sure of that!!
Secondly, you claim you submitted your passport 4th February 2019 and DHL picked up your passport 7th February 2019 (3 days after) and it got delivered 8th February 2019. I'm 90% sure you don't stay in Lagos, so DHL can never pick up your docs today and deliver it to you the next day (not possible).
Keep lying

Bro ask questions before you jump into conclusions about what is true or not was supposed to go last winter but couldn't because of late appointment so I wrote the school and they sent me a letter to take to the embassy that I would start by summer and that was what I used for my second interview so next time please ask because its annoying when people talk when they don't even have an idea of what's up

Thank you

The electronic engineering course at hamm Lippstadt is for winter semester alone, if the school agreed to defer your admission, it means they will only defer to winter 19 and not summer 19, they can't because of you do the programme in summer.
*Another lie*

yeah
I applied for winter last year around late june, got admission but due to appointment wahala last years winter, I got my appointment late and I got bounced back and was not interviewed at all cos the V.O refused to interview me cos my deadline was far passed so I wrote the school and they sent me a hard copy letter, so that's what I used in booking for another interview, the first was December 12 while the second was December 28 all in 2018

Embassy will never give you an appointment that exceeds your enrollment deadline, at worst they will give you an appointment only few days to your enrolment. And the winter appointment was booked thru email, so how did the embassy give you appointment that elapsed your enrolment deadline?

Winter appointment for December? LMAO

Are you Going for Bsc ?
If yes , from what i have read so far here, you will require a 100level transcript to secure a Bsc admission in Germany

johndoefoo:

And again, you used Winter Admission Letter to apply for Summer Semester Visa Appointment, and the embassy gave you a date, then they bounced you back?

There was still appointment space on their website until like August Ending or Early September I guess. So if you truly got your admission in July, then... you’re still not telling us the whole truth.

You confused someone with your story... I took interest in your story because I need to made it clear to that person that things are not really way you expressed it. I already told the guy that Hamm-Lippstadt only admits in Winter for that course, so when you mention Summer.... the guy thought I was lying or something....

I don’t know your story, It’s your story...not my problem...but things you said don’t add up... I will appreciate if you are straight next time so as to not lead others astray.

Thanks

@johndoefoo, don't mind this guy. All his writeups are lies and he's only here for something else.
The electronic engineering course at Hamm Lippstadt is for winter semester alone and he claimed he got visa this summer for the course which is never possible.
