*No need to take your family along
*You can schedule for interview through www.ustraveldocs.com
*Yes if you want and the most important document is your International Passport, Visa fee receipt, ds160 confirmation page and appointment page.

And passport photographs too cheesy, before they use you to practice unnecessary black market pricing around that embassy area for what you even don’t need.

Sorry to say oooo... but you can visit another country in fact U.S Embassy will be impressed if you visit another countries before re-apply... forget about U.S for now unless there's something else. cheesy

True that, though it seems there’s something else too.

You will still be denied... try another country.

Will be banned officially soon if not extra careful, very close now.

Okay. So my time was for 10am this morning. I got there at 8.50am. There was no crowd at all today, right from the gate where they do the checks till I got inside.

Immediately I got in, I was directed straight for biometrics, as there was no queue. After the biometrics, I was praying there would be a little queue so I can atleast rehearse in my head before I am called upon. Lol. But no, immediately after biometrics, I was directed to an empty counter straight for the interview.

Below is the transcript:
A white guy on glasses attended to me.
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning *with a smile*
VO: Can I have your passport?
Me: Hands it over
VO: Why do you want to go to America?
Me: I will be going on my annual leave, so would use that opportunity to spend it with ...... (a family, they are family friend)
VO: How long have you known them?
Me: I have known them for over 10years
VO: Where do they stay?
Me: ........ US
VO: How long are you staying?
Me: 14days
VO: Where do you work? *he is typing *
Me: I mentioned where I work, and what I do together.
VO: Have you travelled out before?
Me: Yes, been to the Uk severally since 2010, dubai twice, Kenya and Ghana. *he is also flipping through my passports and checking.
VO: Are you single or married?
Me: Single
VO: Any kids?
Me: No
*He continues typing*
*keeps my passport on the box beside him, and brings out the white paper. Pick up at the circled location...bla bla.
Me: Thank you...
Leaves there, with a wide grin.

I got in at 9.30 and by 9.45 I was out. Even before my 10am time. Interview itself took about 5mins.

Please which available time will be OK to book for the interview?, I filled my travel period to be on the month of August, 2019 during the school long vacation period.

Since I am been invited by my relation from my kindred, who is a Roman Catholic priest based in USA, do I need anything like invitation later from him, to go to embassy on my appointment date?

Again when I was filling the form, he gave me his address and details which I filled in the form been his place and his location where am going, on the relationship with him, I put my relative. But in the Parents biological relatives. On the questions whether any of my immediate relations lived in America, I answered no, and the second question whether any other of my relation live in America, I was ask to answer no too based on his advice, on the ground that I don't have biological relation from my parents over there. Hope that is the right answer and it doesn't contradict the first answer of visiting my relation?
Am asking because the Rev. Fr am visiting based on his invitation is from my kindred, which we both shared the same biological great grand parents.

My People, I have been a silent reader here for a long time and i really appreciate what the GURUS here have done. LadyG, Seyewest, Omobendel and all, Una don try well well.
So i have some worries here. I attended my Interview weeks back in Abuja and i was given 2 papers, one for pick up and the other for administrative processing. Now the VO stated there that i would not need any further document and that they would get back to me through my email when my VISA is ready. My point is that its been 3 weeks and i have not seen any email from them and its still On Admin process. I am a little worried as i would love to get my Ticket sharply since i am seeing some very great deals of less then 300k around my travel time. Please Gurus Advice...

Sorry for the denial, I think your wife should go with you next time.

So they deny people in Dubai too?

If this transcript was from Nigeria, people will start assuming stuffs... e.g. they are no more issuing people visas in Nigeria
